Archaeologists unearth 2000-year-old Hebrew Jerusalem inscription

Archaeologists unearth 2000-year-old Hebrew Jerusalem inscription

The earliest written inscription of the word Jerusalem written in Hebrew on a 2,000 year old column drum was unveiled on Tuesday at a press conference at The Israel Museum in Jerusalem.

The limestone column drum that dates back to the Second Temple period, was discovered 10 months ago on an excavation site near the International Convention Center in Jerusalem.

The words: “Hanania son of Dudolos from Jerusalem” was etched on the column which was part of a building that stood in a Jewish potters village near the entrance of the Jerusalem some 2,000 years ago.

Prior to this discovery, the city’s name was written as Yerushalem or Shalem in Hebrew, this inscription was the first time the city was written as Yerushalayim in Hebrew characters.

The word Jerusalem was found on silver coins dating before the time of this column, but they were written in Aramaic.

Details of who Hanania was and why he etched his name and Jerusalem on the column are yet to be uncovered, however what can be confirmed is that he was Jewish and that he was connected to artisanship. Mevorach also noted that Dudolos was not his father and was more of an homage to the mythical Greek artist, Dudolos and shows how the Jews of that time were influenced by Greek culture under Alexander the Great.

It is also unclear whether this was a dedication for a public building or if Hanania was he showing his connection to his craft. These are questions that will help guide further excavations in this site.

Danit Levy, the head of this excavation explained the significance of this site: “This is the largest ancient pottery production site in the region of Jerusalem and in the latter part of the Second Temple period, particularly during Herod’s reign, the production was focused on manufacturing cooking vessels.”

The location was based on its proximity to the relatively heavily populated city of Jerusalem and to raw materials such as stone, water and wood, all used by artisans at that production site.

End Time Prophecy News - Hundreds Respond to the Gospel Message at Franklin Graham’s Revival in Mexico

In recent Facebook posts, evangelist Franklin Graham shared the news of the response to the gospel message of Jesus Christ at a revival held over the weekend in Monterrey, Mexico. Graham posted photos of a packed auditorium of 16,000 who came to hear the gospel.

The Bible tells us, ‘For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?’ (Mark 8:36). I’m thankful for the power of the Gospel and that many souls were saved this evening,” the evangelist wrote.

End Time Headlines – Netanyahu’s speech wasn’t about Iran’s nuclear capability, but credibility

End Time Headlines - Netanyahu’s speech wasn’t about Iran’s nuclear capability, but credibility

The overall message slashing at Iran’s credibility was quite serious.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech on Thursday about Iran at the UN is not likely to create any sudden changes in the nuclear standoff any more than US President Donald Trump’s earlier speech.

Netanyahu also did not actually go after Iran in any serious way for increasing its nuclear capabilities.

So his speech was really another very public opportunity to peel away at the Islamic Republic’s credibility on the nuclear issue.

For example, his sole more technical reference was to Iran racing to conceal and spread out a supply of 15 kilograms of “radioactive material” – presumably enriched uranium.

In and of itself, this allegation does not actually mean very much.

Iran once had and gave away at least 11,000 kilograms of uranium and is allowed to continue to possess 300 kilograms of uranium under the 2015 nuclear deal.

The allegation might have been stronger if the prime minister had said that the 15 kilograms were highly enriched to the 20% or higher level which is not permitted under the deal.

So this part was likely a bit less serious and more to score some public relations points with viewers who got to hear the words “radioactive material.”

But the overall message slashing at Iran’s credibility was quite serious.

On April 30, Netanyahu gave a press conference to the world about a secret nuclear archive that Tehran was concealing from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and which the Mossad had appropriated in a daring operation for the ages.

Netanyahu said on Thursday that the IAEA had not performed any follow-up. Whether it has or not, it has not publicized that it has.
There was a lot of debate after the April 30 Netanyahu speech about whether he had revealed anything new.

What was clearly knew was catching Iran concealing information from the IAEA. What would disturb many observers following the nuclear standoff would be that, almost five months later, the IAEA has taken no real public action to clarify or explain the concealment allegations.

This was why Netanyahu revealed a second and new hidden site.

He will probably be criticized by some in the Mossad and the intelligence community about revealing what Israeli intelligence knows, as this can risk sources being cut off and found.

But he wanted to maintain and escalate the pressure on the IAEA to do its job.

As the EU touts its special economic vehicle for trying to help companies circumvent US anti-Iran sanctions so that they can continue to do business with the Islamic Republic, it maintains that its basis for aggressively defending Iran is that it has kept the 2015 deal.

This argument becomes harder and harder to make as Israel continues to publicly out hidden sites that the IAEA has not and is not inspecting.

Netanyahu is also messaging to Iran that the Mossad and surveillance can find Tehran’s secret nuclear moves anytime and anywhere even if the IAEA is not aggressively inspecting beyond the sites it knows about.

At some point, EU support for the deal may start to become less sturdy. At that point, even if Iran is keeping aspects of the deal, Netanyahu’s continuing barrage of bombshell disclosures of concealment could be the principled basis to walk away.

Prophecy News – Tony Blair – We need a second Brexit vote so that we don’t betray Britain’s future

Prophecy News - Tony Blair - We need a second Brexit vote so that we don’t betray Britain’s future

The case for the People’s Vote is now overwhelming. The real betrayal of the country would be refusing it.

There have been two years of frankly fruitless negotiations. We are not agreed with Europe or among ourselves. There are at least three different versions of what the 2016 Brexit mandate means. The Chequers proposal is the least popular version on offer, polling miserably. Yet this is what our Government is threatening to stampede through Parliament or else plunge us into the abyss of a “no deal Brexit .”

Our knowledge of what Brexit entails from the single market and customs union to the Irish border is vastly enlarged. Facts have replaced claims. There has been no recession. But the value of our currency has fallen around 10-15 per cent — a prediction by the international markets of decline in our future wealth. Investment confidence in the UK is negative, the motor industry alone down by 40 per cent. Prices are up. The financial sector is moving jobs. And, no, we will not be seeing a £350 million weekly boost to the NHS. Instead, we are spending billions preparing for Brexit plus paying a £40 billion bill to Europe.

At a minimum, this thing has turned out to be much more complicated than anyone thought in June 2016.

In these circumstances it is natural common sense to ask: in the light of all we know now, is the will of the British people still for Brexit or to remain part of Europe?

In these circumstances it is natural common sense to ask: in the light of all we know now, is the will of the British people still for Brexit or to remain part of Europe?

This solution is the only route to salvation. For the country, if Britain votes again for Brexit, that is the conclusion of the matter. Then we set about making a new future for the country.

By contrast, the Chequers proposal will not end anything. The Brexiteers have made it clear that they will carry on the fight after March 2019 to secure a harder Brexit. My side will use the halfway house of Chequers as a stepping stone back into Europe.

For the Conservative Party, the People’s Vote is a way of ridding themselves of the Europe question which has bedevilled them and on which they’re irredeemably divided. Ironically, separate it out in a new referendum and they’re completely united in fighting today’s Labour Party.

As for Labour, its members are massively in favour of a People’s Vote. The drama around the Salzburg summit has obscured why we are where we are in the Brexit debacle.

At the heart of Brexit is a myth: that we don’t control our own laws. The reality is we do. We have created the NHS and could abolish it. Have tuition fees or scrap them. Put taxes up or down. Spend more or spend less. Shut down all immigration from outside Europe or not. Declare war or make peace. Be tough on crime or be softer.

We had a Labour government in the Seventies when Britain was part of Europe, nationalising, taxing heavily and giving trade unions power. We had a Thatcher government in the Eighties which privatised, hammered unions and cut tax. Today we could have a Conservative Government under Jacob Rees-Mogg or a Labour one under Jeremy Corbyn — and let us agree that their consequences would be very different.

The laws where we have chosen to be constrained are those arising from the single market, a unique trading construct where Europe does not merely abolish tariffs — a conventional trade agreement — but has created a unified regulatory regime, with standards and specifications the same between London and Paris as they are between London and Newcastle. This allows a car manufacturer in Britain to make and assemble parts using plants all over Europe and sell the car in one big market of 450 million people, not one of 65 million.

“If we lose access to the single market and go to a Canada-style free trade agreement we will pay a heavy price”

Because those laws sometimes give rise to disputes and 28 different countries are involved, they’re settled by the European Court.

For more than three decades we have been trading in this market. A huge network of interrelated commerce has grown up around it.

What Britain is seeking to do with Brexit is what no other modern developed nation has ever tried: to de-liberalise its trade by exiting its main trading agreement, the single market, only to re-liberalise it by other means.

The problem with Brexit is Brexit. At its core is this dilemma which the Government has struggled with from the beginning and never resolved, not because they’re incompetent — though some of the negotiating has been that — but because there is no resolution.

If we lose access to the single market and go to a Canada-style free trade agreement we will pay a heavy price. And there will be a hard border in Northern Ireland. Theresa May’s criticism of Boris Johnson’s position is right.

On the other hand, if we don’t pull out of the single market, we will remain bound by its rules, the rationale for Brexit disappears and so the Johnson criticism of May is also right.

The dilemma — “what’s the price vs what’s the point” — is the reason for the breakdown in the negotiations and the absence of consensus in the country. Neither is palatable. The issue is: if that’s the choice, do the people prefer to leave or stay in the EU?

The idea that there will be riots in the street if we ask them is fatuous. The opposition to such a vote is not fear of defying the people but, 30 months the wiser as to what Brexit really means, fear of what they might say.

End Time Prophecy News – Russia says it will send Syria powerful antiaircraft missiles

End Time Prophecy News - Russia says it will send Syria powerful antiaircraft missiles

Russia said Monday it would equip Syria with sophisticated air defense systems, a move that could worsen a rift with Israel by limiting its ability to bomb across its northern border.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Moscow would send Russia’s powerful S-300 ground-to-air missile systems to Syria, a longtime ally, in the next two weeks. Israel, which has repeatedly bombed Iranian targets in Syria, has long opposed such deliveries, and Russia up to now has refrained from supplying the weapons.

But the downing last week of a Russian reconnaissance plane with 15 service members aboard changed the dynamic. The plane was shot down by a Syrian missile, but Russia faulted Israel for the crash because an Israeli fighter jet allegedly had used the Russian plane as a screen against Syria’s air defenses.

Israel, by contrast, said that its air force had not violated any agreements with Russia and that Israeli jets had already returned to Israeli airspace when the missiles were launched. The crash was one of the deadliest incidents for regular Russian service members in the Syrian war.

“Today, the situation has changed, for no fault of ours,” Shoigu said in a televised statement Monday announcing the S-300 deliveries.

Shoigu said Russia also will jam military aircraft communications in the airspace next to Syria over the Mediterranean Sea while upgrading Syria’s air defense command systems.

End Time Headlines – Dozens killed in Iran terror attack during military parade

Dozens killed in Iran terror attack during military parade

A senior spokesman for Iran’s armed forces blamed Israel and the United States for an attack that killed 24 people, including military personnel and a four-year-old child, and wounded more than 60 when gunmen opened fire on a military parade in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz Saturday.

“These terrorists are not affiliated with Daesh [the Islamic State], nor with other groups fighting [Iran’s] Islamic system,” Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA). “These individuals were trained and equipped by two extremist Persian Gulf states… they are linked to the United States and the Mossad.”

At least five members of the elite Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and two regular army soldiers were among those injured, according to the BBC’s Persian-language service.

All four of the attackers died, according to Shekarchi. Three were killed by security personnel at the scene, and the fourth died from his wounds after being taken to a local hospital.

Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers were wearing military dress and that the shooting lasted for several minutes, according to the Iranian media. Participants and spectators of the par

‎A video distributed to Iranian media showed soldiers crawling on the ground as gunfire blazed in their direction. One soldier picked up a gun and got to his feet as women and children fled for their lives.

Ali Hosein Hoseinzadeh, deputy governor in Khuzestan province, was quoted as saying the death toll was expected to rise. One of those killed was a journalist.

A local Arab group claimed responsibility for the attack. Yaghub Hur Totsari, spokesman for one of the two groups that identify themselves as the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz, said the Ahvaz National Resistance, an umbrella organization of all armed movements, claimed responsibility for the attack, but did not specify which group carried out the operation.

“This action was part of our legitimate resistance and no civilians were targeted in the attack,” said a statement released by the group, which describes itself as devoted to protecting the rights of Khuzestan province’s ethnic Arab minority, according to the BBC.

The Islamic State also claimed responsibility for the attack, according to a statement released by the group’s Amaq news agency, but did not provide any evidence of its involvement.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held “regional terror sponsors and their US masters” responsible in a statement on Twitter.

“Terrorists recruited, trained, armed and paid by a foreign regime have attacked Ahvaz. Children and journos among casualties,” Zarif wrote. “Iran holds regional terror sponsors and their US masters accountable for such attacks. Iran will respond swiftly and decisively in defense of Iranian lives.”

An unnamed spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps likewise claimed that the attackers had the backing of Iran’s regional rival Saudi Arabia.

The spokesman also said that the attackers directed their fire at civilians in the crowd as well as members of the armed forces participating in the parade, Iranian media reported.

In response, Iran has is increasing security at the Shalamcheh border crossing with Iraq in Khuzestan province, according to the BBC.

Yahya Rahim Safavi, a senior Revolutionary Guards official, vowed retaliation for the attack. “Enemies should not imagine that they can gain dignity with this sinister move. The Iranian people and the armed forces will respond to this,” he said, according to IRNA

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, RIA news quoted the Kremlin as saying.

This is not the only recent terrorist incident on Iranian soil. Last June, Islamic State suicide bombers and gunmen attacked Iran’s parliament and the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in Tehran, killing 18. Recent years have also seen attacks by armed militias affiliated with Kurdish and Balochi separatist movements.

Kurdish militants killed 10 Revolutionary Guards in an attack on an IRGC post on the Iraqi border in July, Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency reported, the latest bloodshed in an area where armed Kurdish opposition groups are active.

The parade in Ahvaz, and others held around the country over the weekend, marked the 37th anniversary of the beginning of the Iran-Iraq War, the longest and bloodiest conflict in Iran’s modern history.

End Time Headlines – China, Russia warn US of consequences over sanctions

End Time Headlines - China, Russia warn US of consequences over sanctions

MOSCOW (AFP) –

Moscow and Beijing lashed out Friday at Washington’s new anti-Russian sanctions that also target China for the first time, warning the United States could face consequences.

The United States is “playing with fire”, Russia’s deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov said, while Beijing voiced “strong indignation” over the move.

United in their resentment of America’s global influence, China and Russia have sought in recent years to tighten up their ties and this month conducted week-long joint military drills, Moscow’s largest ever war games.

On Thursday, China — which is also locked in a trade war with Washington — got caught up in the sanctions war against Russia as the United States announced a new raft of measures that would punish third countries for dealing with Moscow.

Stepping up pressure on Moscow over its “malign activities,” the US State Department said it was placing financial sanctions on the Equipment Development Department of the Chinese Ministry of Defence, and its top administrator, for its recent purchase of Russian Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets and S-400 surface-to-air missile systems.

Beijing on Friday urged the United States to withdraw sanctions or “bear the consequences”.

“The US actions have seriously violated the basic principles of international relations and seriously damaged the relations between the two countries and the two militaries,” said foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang, adding Beijing had lodged an official protest with the United States.

“We strongly urge the US to immediately correct their mistake and withdraw their so-called sanctions, otherwise the US will have to bear the consequences.”

US officials said it was the first time a third country has been punished under the CAATSA sanctions legislation for dealing with Russia, signalling Donald Trump’s administration will risk relations with other countries in its campaign against Moscow.

– ‘Undermining stability’ –

Moscow said Washington was rocking global stability and said sarcastically that placing sanctions on Russia has become Washington’s favourite “pastime.”

“It would be good for them to remember there is such a concept as global stability which they are thoughtlessly undermining by whipping up tensions in Russian-American ties,” said Ryabkov.

“Playing with fire is silly, it can become dangerous,” he said in a statement.

The State Department also announced it was placing 33 Russian intelligence and military-linked actors on its sanctions blacklist.

All of them — defence related firms, officers of the GRU military intelligence agency, and people associated with the Saint Petersburg-based Internet Research Agency disinformation group — have been on previous US sanctions lists.

Twenty eight of them have already been indicted by Robert Mueller, who is investigating election meddling by Russia.

US officials said that the US could consider similar action against other countries taking delivery of Russian fighter jets and missiles.

Turkey is in talks to buy S-400 missile systems from Russia.

Ryabkov reiterated that none of the rounds of sanctions had managed to force Russia to change its course so far.

“It appears that it has become a sort of national pastime there,” he added, noting the latest round of anti-Russian measures was the 60th since 2011.

For all of Russia’s seemingly upbeat rhetoric the new measures can hurt the country’s struggling economy.

Arms exports are an important source of revenue for the country and last year Russia sold more than $14 billion worth of arms overseas.

– Sanctions target only Russia? –

A senior US administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity, insisted the ultimate target was Russia.

“CAATSA sanctions in this context are not intended to undermine the defence capabilities of any particular country,” the official said.

CAATSA, or the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, was passed in 2017 as a tool that gives Washington more ways to target Russia, Iran and North Korea with economic and political sanctions.

China’s EDD and its director Li Shangfu became targets after taking delivery over the past year of the jets and missiles from Rosoboronexport, Russia’s main arms exporter already on the US blacklist for its support of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.

The US official said Washington had spent “an enormous amount of time” seeking to discourage prospective buyers of Russian arms.

The new sanctions came as the United States and China are in the heat of a trade war.

The two countries will launch new tariffs on Monday, with Washington targeting $200 billion in Chinese exports and Beijing hitting $60 billion worth of American products.

End Time Headlines – Duke Energy says dam breached at North Carolina plant and coal ash may be flowing into Cape Fear River

End Time Headlines - Duke Energy says dam breached at North Carolina plant and coal ash may be flowing into Cape Fear River

Duke Energy says dam breached at North Carolina plant and coal ash may be flowing into Cape Fear River

  • A Duke Energy dam containing a 1,100-acre reservoir in North Carolina is breached, and may be causing coal ash to flow into the nearby Cape Fear River.
  • Hurricane Florence brought rain measured in feet to North Carolina, followed by rising rivers and standing water in fields.
  • The president of Duke Energy’s North Carolina operations, David Fountain, told CNBC earlier this week that the impact from Hurricane Florence has been the most severe he’s ever experienced.

Floodwaters on Friday breached a dam that contains a man-made lake connected to a Duke Energy power plant in North Carolina, possibly causing coal ash to flow into the nearby Cape Fear River, the company said.

The floodwaters flowed from Cape Fear River into the northern side of Sutton Lake, an 1,100-acre reservoir built in 1972 to cool the L.V. Sutton Power Station. That water caused breaches in the dam on the south end of the lake, which was flowing back into the river, Duke Energy said in a press release.

The 200-mile Cape Fear River flows into the Atlantic at Wilmington, North Carolina.

The Sutton site in Wilmington was home to a coal-fired power plant until 2013, when Duke replaced it with a natural gas power station. Duke dismantled the coal-fired plant by 2017, but the grounds contained about 7 million tons of coal ash in waste pits at the time of its closure. There are still two coal ash basins on site.

The flooding forced Duke to shut down the 625-megawatt natural gas plant, and the company is monitoring the coal ash pits.

Coal ash is a byproduct produced primarily at coal-fired power plants. It contains contaminants harmful to human health including mercury, cadmium and arsenic.

Heavy rain from Florence caused one of the coal ash landfills to partially collapse, Duke reported on Saturday. The incident likely caused coal ash to run off into Sutton Lake, a Duke spokesperson told the AP.

On Friday, Duke said it believes coal ash contained in one of the basins remains in place behind a steel wall that separates Sutton Lake from a site where the waste is still being excavated. That steel wall was under water, the company said, but an earthen part of the dam setting off the basin remained 2 feet above the surface.

Another type of coal combustion byproduct, cenospheres composed mostly of alumni and silica, has flowed from that basin into Sutton Lake and Cape Fear River, Duke said.

The second basin, which contains most of the sites ash, is about 10 feet from the floodwater and has not been affected, Duke said.

Shares of Duke Energy, which were higher before the news hit, rolled over and were down less than 1 percent Friday afternoon.

Hurricane Florence packed high wind and rain measured in feet to the Carolinas, followed by rising rivers and standing water in fields.

Florence made landfall on Sept. 13 as a Category 1 hurricane in a resort town just east of Wilmington, North Carolina’s eighth-largest city. The city of more than 117,000 people has been cut off by floodwaters. At least 42 storm-related deaths have been reported in the region, according to AP.

David Fountain, president of Duke Energy’s North Carolina operations, told CNBC on Monday that the impact from Florence has been the most severe he’s ever experienced.

“I’ve lived in North Carolina my entire life, and I’ve seen a lot of bad storms, a lot of bad hurricanes. But this is absolutely the worst,” Fountain said.

Property damage and disruption from Florence is expected to total at least $17 billion to $22 billion, but that estimate could end up being on the conservative end, according to Moody’s Analytics.

The company estimates 49,000 homes and businesses were still without power late this week.

End Time Headlines – OIL PRICE CRISIS – Trump DEMANDS Middle East reduce oil prices – We keep you safe

OIL PRICE CRISIS Trump DEMANDS Middle East reduce oil prices - We keep you safe

OIL PRICE CRISIS: Trump DEMANDS Middle East reduce oil prices – We keep you safe

US President Donald Trump linked American support for Middle Eastern countries to oil prices on Thursday as he again urged OPEC to lower prices.

He wrote on Twitter: ”We protect the countries of the Middle East, they would not be safe for very long without us.
“And yet they continue to push for higher and higher oil prices! We will remember.
“The OPEC monopoly must get prices down now!”
The Republican president has lashed out at the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries over the past several months.
Rising US gasoline prices could create a political headache for Mr Trump before November congressional elections by offsetting Republican claims that his tax cuts and rollbacks of federal regulations have helped boost the US economy.

Mr Trump has called on Saudi Arabia, OPEC’s largest producer, to raise output, saying that it should help the US lower fuel prices since Washington is aiding Riyadh in its struggle against Iran.

OPEC and its allies are unlikely to agree to an official increase in crude output when they meet in Algeria this weekend.

However, pressure is mounting on top producers to prevent a spike in oil prices ahead of new US sanctions on Iran, OPEC sources told Reuters on Thursday.

The new sanctions take effect in November, as a result of with Mr Trump’s decision to pull out of a 2015 agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.

Saudi Arabia is worried that any sanctions-related spike in oil prices will trigger fresh criticism from Trump.

However, it also faces doubts over its ability to compensate for a drop in Iranian supply, the sources said.

In a visit to Moscow this month, US Energy Secretary Rick Perry said Saudi Arabia, the United States and Russia can between them raise global output in the next 18 months to compensate for falling oil supplies from Iran.

Iran oil crisis: OPEC says Tehran ‘VERY important’ even AFTER US sanctions

THE HEAD of the oil producer group OPEC said yesterday Iran remains a “very important member” of the cartel, as Tehran braces for a second wave of US sanctions targeting its crude exports.

The oil-rich nation, which is currently at loggerheads with Washington over its nuclear weapons programme, is currently the third-largest producer in OPEC.

“Iran is a very important member of OPEC … and we have no choice but to continue working with all parties,” Mohammad Barkindo, the chief of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, said at the Gulf Intelligence Energy Forum in the emirate of Fujairah.

Tehran, he continued, is a “very important exporter of oil”.

Mr Barkindo did not, however, explain how crude producers would compensate for declining exports from Iran, with the fresh sanctions targeting the country’s oil industry due to come into force on November 4.

Mr Barkindo added that a “permanent” framework of communication between the 14 OPEC members and 11 non-OPEC oil states, including the world’s top oil exporter Russia, would be set up in December.

The Islamic republic is currently the third-largest producer in OPEC.

But output has dropped to its lowest level since July 2016 as top buyers India and China distance themselves from Tehran in fear of the sanctions.

In May, US President Donald Trump pulled America out of what he called a “defective” and “rotten” international nuclear deal with Iran and announced new sanctions against the regime.

Under the 2015 accord, Iran agreed to curb its nuclear activities in return for a lifting of crippling economic sanctions.

Britain, France and Germany – the deal’s European signatories – jointly condemned the move and pledged to save the deal from collapse, claiming it was the only way to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons in the Middle East.

European leaders, however, have since struggled to counter the impact of the sanctions.

The Trump administration, for its part, is pushing its allies to cut imports of Iranian oil to zero.
It is also coaxing other oil producers such as Saudi Arabia and Russia to pump more oil to meet any supply shortfall, and has warned importers to stop buying oil from Iran or risk being hit with secondary sanctions themselves.

Moayyed Hosseini Sadr, an adviser to Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh, said that the sanctions could not reduce the country’s oil sales to zero because of continued high demand, Iranian state TV reported on Tuesday.

“Considering the high demand and low supply in the market, America’s sanctions cannot drop Iran’s oil sales to zero… Other oil producers cannot replace Iran’s oil,” he said.

Mr Trump, a long-time critic of the Obama-era accord, has said he is open to striking a new, wider deal with Iran that would also address Tehran’s ballistic missiles programme and hegemonic ambitions in the Middle East.

But Iran has dismissed calls for such talks with the US.

End Time Headlines – Middle East ON BRINK: Iran in furious Israel attack and insists UN ‘takes firm action’

End Time Headlines - Middle East ON BRINK Iran in furious Israel attack and insists UN takes firm action

Middle East ON BRINK: Iran in furious Israel attack and insists UN ‘takes firm action’

IRAN has demanded the United Nations (UN) condemns aggressive threats from Israel and insisted inspectors take a look at the nation’s nuclear programme.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at a secluded Israeli atomic reactor weeks ago to warn the nation’s enemies he had the means to wipe them out in an apparent reference to the country’s nuclear arsenal.

In a letter penned to the body’s security council by Iran ambassador Gholamali Khoshrou, he said: “The United Nations’ members should not turn a blind eye to these threats and must take firm actions to eliminate all Israeli nuclear weapons.”

He then demanded the UN security general forces Israel to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and bring its nuclear programme under supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Israel has neither confirmed or denied housing nuclear weapons and has dubbed suspicion of the country having them as “ambiguity” that arose over their bid to keep hostile neighbours in check.

Israel is trying to lobby world powers to follow the United States in exiting their 2015 deal with Iran that capped the Islamic Republic’s nuclear capabilities in return for lifting of sanctions.

Since its 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran has preached Israel’s destruction, backing Lebanese militia Hezbollah and the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas.

Iran’s reinforcement of Damascus during Syria’s civil war is seen by Israel as a further deployment on their borders.

Iran’s crumbling relationship with the US has put the Middle East area in crisis since President Donald Trump came into power in 2016.

Crippling sanctions put Iran has seen the nation descend into financial turmoil.

Recently, the US targeted Iran’s oil exports over its nuclear weapons programme.

Mr Trump also claimed a victory over the nation after car manufacturing giant Volkswagen today announced they would halt production in Iran.

DEEP STATE: Former Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz Publishes Book Exposing The Secret Government In Washington

I spent 8 and a half years in Congress. I took about 8 and a half to 9 months to write it. It’s on sale tomorrow at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and all the other usual suspects. When I went to Congress I didn’t really know what the Deep State was or if it was real or not real, but I left knowing that it is very real. It’s something that is out in the open. It’s not some tinfoil person whose off in the corner with some weird dials trying to do things. It is a abrasion approach that many federal bureaucrats do to wait out administrations.

“The Deep State is real – I’ve seen it up close and it’s far worse than you can imagine” Congressman Jason Chaffetz

First of all, let me start by saying that I love America, always have and always will. Not only did my dad serve during WWII and Korea, my brother a United States Marine, I also had 5 uncles who all fought for the North during the Civil War. On top of all that, my dad’s family first arrived on these shores in 1732, 44 years before America would officially exist. I love our freedoms, our way of life, and the fact that we are the only country in world history, after Israel, whose nation was founded on the God of Abraham and the Bible.

“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.” Patrick Henry, Ratifier of the US Constitution

But there exists within our perfect picture of a free and just society, behind the Norman Rockwell imagery and rolling hills, another America which has another government. This unseen body is not put in or removed from office by election, for they are always there. For the most part, this unelected government operates invisibly, silently. Until Donald Trump was elected, most people didn’t really care too much what happened in Washington. Elections came and went cycle after cycle, Red fighting Blue and Blue fighting Red, but never looking much deeper than that.

Then the unthinkable happened. A candidate finally appeared on the scene who was neither Red nor Blue, beholden to no one except himself, and against all odds he was elected as the 45th President of these United States. For the first time in recent memory, a person became our leader who was not part of the unseen government, the Deep State, and who would not do their bidding. How did this happen? God voted.

“I spent 8 and a half years in Congress. It is a abrasion approach that many federal bureaucrats do to wait out administrations.” Jason Chaffetz

Before we go any further, let’s clarify of few things first. This article is not promoting any conspiracy theory or the rabid fantasizing of fear merchants like Alex Jones. No, this article is drawing your attention to an explosive book written by former Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz who before his retirement was a powerful force in the House. His book is not about conspiracy theory, his book is about what he learned about the secret, unelected government that operates in Washington, and he calls it the Deep State.

The Deep State, what other generations referred to as a secret society, has been operating in America perhaps from soon after its beginning, but certainly began to come to light during the early days of the 20th century. The history of the robber barons like Vanderbilt and Rockefeller controlling everything, that used to be taught in schools but sadly no longer is, showed us that rich and powerful men secretly seized power and never relinquished it. Whatever America was originally created to do was recreated by these men with their limitless funds and Orwellian ambitions.

One of the richest men of the early 20th century said this about our secret government:

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” Henry Ford

The reason that the 2016 presidential election was so upsetting for Hillary Clinton and her ilk was that it meant there would finally be a break in the chain of command of the Deep State, something that they were not prepared for. The Deep State had done all their homework, loaded Hillary with over a billion dollars with which to wage her campaign, put the entire main stream media and social media behind her, and yet she lost the Electoral College by 33%. How ironic is that for the Freemasons?

The book by Jason Chaffetz marks the moment when the Deep State was moved out of the realm of conspiracy theory and into a serious mainstream discussion of what is really happening in the halls of power in the esoteric world of the District of Columbia.

In closing, let me remind you of the last president we had who was not part of the Deep State, and who publicly stated that secret societies would have no part in his administration. He promised the American people that he would expose the unseen government and put them on notice. Two years later, in Dallas, the Deep State would give Kennedy their response to his speech.

“The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know.” John F Kennedy, from his 1961 ‘Secret Societies’ speech

The Kennedy Assassination: What Really Happened

Based on Dr. Kroth’s new book of the same title, he explains how President Trump’s dramatic disclosure of secret JFK files in 2017-18 changes our understanding of virtually everything. These documents are added to what we learned from the CIA’s own Howard Hunt who made a deathbed confession in 2007 which implicated LBJ. Hunt’s confession and Trump’s JFK secret releases are absolutely revelatory.

Pray for President Trump, that he will accomplish the full purpose for that which God has allowed him to assume control of the most powerful nation on earth. Pray for his salvation, that he will come to saving knowledge of the God who has placed him where he is. And pray for America that we may one day break free from the Deep State and its control over our lives.

End Time Bible Prophecy News – Russia and China Begin First Joint War Games of Their Kind Amid New U.S. Tensions

Russian President Vladimir Putin (left) shakes hands with Chinese President Xi Jinping (right) during a welcoming ceremony at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Council of Heads of State in Qingdao, China, on June 10. The leaders have said their countries' relationship is better now than in any other point in history.

Russia and China kicked off the first joint war games of their kind, a sign of their growing defense ties as their top military brass discussed strengthening relations in the wake of U.S. attempts to challenge their global rise.

Russian and Chinese troops, along with personnel from six other nations, are training together for the first time as part of a joint anti-terrorism drill known as “Peace Mission 2018,” conducted under the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The eight-nation group had held six joint exercises prior to this, but this is the first time that all countries, including both longtime rivals India and Pakistan, are participating together. The opening ceremony and first exercise took place over the weekend.

Shortly afterward, General Li Zuocheng, the Chinese Central Commission’s joint staff department chief, made his debut visit to Moscow in yet another sign of growing Russia-China cooperation. He met with his Russian counterpart, general staff chief General Valery Gerasimov, telling him, “Today I offer to discuss the prospects of expanding and deepening our bilateral relations, including holding joint military exercises and exchanging opinions on the situation in the critical regions of the world,” according to the state-run Tass Russian News Agency.

Gerasimov accepted amid what he said was an unprecedented level of cooperation between the two countries, saying, “We are paying special attention to realizing the agreements reached. The key component of our cooperation in the military sphere is the cooperation of both countries’ general staffs.”

Chinese forces march past the viewing stand at the opening ceremony of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s “Peace Mission2018” joint anti-terrorism military exercise in Chebarkul, Russia, on August 24. The event brought together troops from China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia and Tajikistan, along with support personnel from Uzbekistan, for the first time.
That same day, the official China Military Online reported that Friday’s opening ceremony included a parade and speeches from Lieutenant General Alexander Rabin, director general of the joint director department and commander of the Russia’s Central Military District; and Senior Colonel Ma Qixian, fellow director of the joint director department and assistant of the chief of staff of the Joint Staff Department of China’s Western Military District.

“Senior Colonel Ma Qixian said in his speech that the ‘Peace Mission 2018′ is a crucial exercise held amid an increasingly complex international and regional anti-terrorism situation and an important part of the SCO’s deepening cooperation in the field of defense and security, and it serves as an important platform reflecting the mutual trust and cooperation among SCO member states,” the Chinese military’s website wrote.

It continued, “It will play a positive role in enhancing the ability of all member states to work together to cope with new threats and challenges, promoting the SCO’s defense and security cooperation to go further both in substance and depth, and safeguarding regional peace and stability, Ma Qixian added.”

The maneuvers were comprised of 3,000 troops from China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia and Tajikistan, along with additional observers from Uzbekistan. Russia and China have sought to enhance the military nature of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to counter Western—chiefly U.S. and NATO-defense coalition—influence across Asia. The U.S. and its allies have accused Russia and China of pursuing destabilizing policies in the region and beyond.

The U.S. hit Russia, its leading military rival, with sanctions after charging it with interfering in foreign elections, illegally seizing the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine and the attempted assassination in March of an ex-Soviet spy who’d defected to the U.K. While President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin have attempted to mend their countries’ broken ties, Washington has pressed forward with more economic restrictions, leading the Russian embassy in the U.S. to state Monday that “the worst Cold War scenarios, the ones the world should have forsaken 30 years ago, are now taking shape.”

The Chinese Defense Ministry called on the U.S. to “abandon the Cold War mentality” after the Pentagon released a report portraying Beijing’s recent military and economic rise as bad for the region. Many of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s members are included in Chinese President Xi Jinping’s One Belt, One Road initiative, which seeks to establish lucrative trade routes and ambitious projects across Asia and into Africa, Europe and the Americas—something the U.S. has warned could upset the traditional world order. The U.S. hit Russia, its leading military rival, with sanctions after charging it with interfering in foreign elections, illegally seizing the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine and the attempted assassination in March of an ex-Soviet spy who’d defected to the U.K.

Breaking Finance News – Pound US dollar exchange rate: GBP sheds last week’s gains against USD

Breaking Finance News Pound US dollar exchange rate GBP sheds last weeks gains against USD

THE pound US dollar exchange rate is trending at around $1.282 after reversing all of the gains made last week. The exchange rate has already lost over a cent this week, and is well below last Thursday’s multi-week-high of $1.303.

The US dollar has easily capitalised on fresh Brexit jitters, against general higher market demand for ‘safe haven’ currencies.

On top of a broadly stronger US dollar, the primary reason for the pound to US dollar exchange rate’s tumble has been fresh fears about disagreements between UK and EU Brexit negotiators.

Theresa May has said the government intends to hold its ground on its Brexit blueprint, despite criticism from EU Chief Negotiator Michel Barnier over some aspects of the plan.

Mr Barnier reminded reporters that the UK would not be able to pick and choose parts of the single market.

His criticism led to concerns that the UK and EU were still struggling to overcome key issues in negotiations, which has kept significant pressure on Sterling.

The pound has seen further downside pressure today too, in the form of Britain’s latest construction PMI.

The construction report was forecast to slide from 55.8 to 55.0, but unexpectedly slumped to 52.9.

Meanwhile, a resurgent US dollar has been able to capitalise on the pound’s weakness.

Investors have been pouring into the US dollar again as demand for safe havens escalates.

With trade tensions between the US and China worsening again, and US-Canada trade talks having fallen through, currency traders have been cautious about risk exposure once again.

And with the US economic outlook looking solid following Donald Trump’s tax and trade reforms, the US dollar is the most appealing currency for investors seeking safety.

Looking ahead, it’s possible the pound to US dollar exchange rate will fall further if Brexit fears continue to worsen.

Upcoming data could also prove influential. The UK services PMI could drive the pound on Wednesday, as services are the most important element of the UK economy.

If the data impresses, it could help the pound avoid further losses against the US dollar.

The US dollar, on the other hand, could weaken if investors shrug off their risk fears, or if trade and Non-Farm Payroll data, due in the second half of the week, disappoint.

END TIMES – EU in ‘MORTAL DANGER’: These FOUR member states ‘want to DESTROY us’ rages Brussels boss

Guenther Oettinger EU in 'MORTAL DANGER’: These FOUR member states 'want to DESTROY us' rages Brussels boss

EU in ‘MORTAL DANGER’: These FOUR member states ‘want to DESTROY us’ rages Brussels boss
THE European Union is in “mortal danger” because a number of nations want to destroy it, budget Commissioner Günther Oettinger has sensationally claimed.

Guenther Oettinger outlines plans to fill ‘Brexit blackhole

The Brussels boss said Europe would only be able to show it remains capable of being strong against a number of challenges facing it if national leaders and the European Parliament could quickly agree the EU’s next long-term budget.

Speaking at an event organised by Germany’s Federal Association of Non-Statutory Welfare Services on Tuesday evening, Mr Oettinger picked out four countries the EU has been feuding with as ones that want to “weaken or even destroy” it.

Commenting on the threats to the European Union, he told an audience during the event in Brussels: “In my view, the project is in mortal danger.

“Some within Europe want to weaken it or even destroy it — Poland, Hungary, Romania, the government of Italy.”
Mr Oettinger also picked out Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and “the clever Chinese” as putting the EU at risk by using trade wars and aggression.

The Budget Commissioner, a senior official within Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats and a long-time ally of the German Chancellor, even attacked his own country Germany for not showing enough enthusiasm for the EU, particularly when it comes to the budget.

He labelled Social Democrat Finance Minister Olaf Scholz as “an even stricter treasurer in that regard” than his Conservative predecessor Wolfgang Schäuble.

According to Politico, Mr Oettinger claimed the first chapter of the German government’s coalition deal is entitled to “a new start in Europe”

But he said: “I see nothing of that in the current debates in Berlin. Absolutely nothing.”

Commenting on whether Germany wanted to join a group of other nations from the bloc in pushing for a smaller EU budget, he added: “Help to make sure the German government doesn’t make cuts, as it did last time.”

Last week, Mr Oettinger said he saw a “50-50” chance and “100 percent good arguments” for the EU to reach a budget deal before the next European Parliament election, which will be held from May 23-26, 2019.

The Budget Commissioner added that he hoped the European Council summit in December would address major Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) topic and find new ways to accelerate talks before Easter.
The MFF is a seven-year framework regulating its annual budget and sets out the maximum amount of spend in the EU budget each year for a number of policy areas.

Mr Oettinger has said that blocking the long-term budget “is in the interest of no member state”, but has received strong opposition and criticism of it from a number of EU members recently, in particular Italy.

Last week, he rubbished Deputy Prime Minister Luigi Di Maio’s claims that Italy contributes €20 billion to the EU.

Both Mr Di Maio and Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini threaten to withhold Italy’s alleged €20 billion contributions to the Brussels bloc unless member states agreed to share the burden of asylum seekers docking in southern Italian ports.
Mr Oettinger – who warned Rome of the “heavy sanctions” Italy would incur into if it failed to meet budget requirements on Friday – argued Italy’s contribution to the EU is as little as €3 billion a year.

He said: “We should correct the figures. It’s not €20 billion a year.

“Italy pays in €14bn, €15bn, 16bn a year. If you take into account what they get out of the EU budget, that leaves a net contribution of €3bn a year.

“€20bn is a travesty.”

END TIME NEWS – Japan earthquake: Sapporo ROCKED by 6.7 earthquake – landslide traps people in homes

Japan Earthqake 2018

A POWERFUL earthquake has rocked the city of Sapporo in northern Japan just hours after large parts of the south of the country were battered by the biggest typhoon to hit in 25 years.

The Magnitude 6.7 quake struck 70 miles south of Sapporo on the island of Hokkaido, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The tremor triggered a landslide which covered homes in the rural town of Atsumi trapping residents inside.

People in Sapporo were woken up by strong shaking shortly after 7pm BST (3am Thursday local time) as the earth moved for around 20 seconds.

Japanese TV showed damaged buildings and quoted police as saying some people had been trapped in collapsed structures.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said officials have set up a command center to coordinate rescue efforts.

At least 10 people have been taken to hospital after being injured in the quake.

Reports of power outages in Japan’s northernmost prefecture have been widely shared on social media.

One Twitter user said: “Just woke up to a pretty damn big earthquake in Sapporo. I’ve been through quite a few before and I’m shaking like a leaf right now. In fact, we’re getting an aftershock right now…”

The tremor struck at an approximate depth of 20 miles, USGS data said.

No tsunami warning has been issued following the earthquake, which was initially reported as a Magnitude 7.0.

The epicenter was just 16 miles from the city of Chitose, home to Hokkaido’s main airport.

A Twitter user named Licia said: “My friends. We just had a major #earthquake here in Japan. #Hokkaido. #Sapporo. We are in the dark, but otherwise fine. Omg! It was humongous. No information on magnitude. Internet still works for now.”

USGS said the earthquake is not expected to generate a tsunami based on its intensity, depth and historic tsunami records.

Sapporo is the capital of Hokkaido prefecture with a population of nearly two million people.

Kenji Yamamoto, an official in Noborito, told public broadcaster NHK there were no reports of injuries or death in that town.

Japan sits in the “Ring of Fire” arc of volcanoes and oceanic trenches that partly encircles the Pacific Basin.

The island nation accounts for around 20 percent of the world’s earthquakes of Magnitude 6 or greater.

The earthquake comes just hours after prefectures in the south of Japan were battered by Typhoon Jebi.

At least 11 people were killed and more than 450 injured in the powerful storm caused widespread damage.

The cities of Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto which make up the Kansai region were some of the worst hit with violent winds of 135mph recorded.

Kansai International Airport, a major travel hub for the south of Japan, remains closed and could be shut for as long as a week.

Breaking News Christian News – Meet the New Prime Minister of Australia: Scott Morrison is an Evangelical Christian

XXX on February 10, 2016 in Canberra, Australia.

Scott Morrison, the new prime minister of Australia, brings something extra to the country’s highest position – his Christian faith.

Morrison, who had previously been the country’s treasurer, was sworn in Friday as Australia’s sixth prime minister in 11 years after a political rift among conservative lawmakers led to the ouster of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

The New York Times reports that Morrison, 50, is the first evangelical Christian to become prime minister and that church has always been a part of his life. He even sees Christianity as one of his motivations for public service.

“For me, faith is personal, but the implications are social — as personal and social responsibility are at the heart of the Christian message,” Morrison said in his first speech to the Australian parliament in 2008, according to the Times. He also cited a verse from the Book of Jeremiah as the encapsulation of the core of his beliefs: “I am the Lord who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness on Earth; for I delight in these things, declares the Lord.”

“Australia is not a secular country,” he added. “It is a free country. This is a nation where you have the freedom to follow any belief system you choose.”

Morrison grew up in a suburb of Sydney where he and his family attended the Uniting Church of Australia. It was also at the church where he met his future wife, Jenny when he was only 12.

For the last 10 years, Morrison, Jenny, and their daughters have been active members of the Horizon Church, one of Sydney’s largest Pentecostal congregations.

“I think that people of faith around the nation are very much filled with hope that someone of Christian faith and principle is holding such a role in public life,” Kristy Mills, the executive pastor of the Horizon Church told the Times. “I think there is a great hope that decision making will be influenced by godly principles.”

Morrison is known for speaking out against the discrimination of Christians and for calling for stronger legal protections for religious freedom in the country whose population stands at more than 24 million. In a 2016 poll, a little more than half of the population identified as Christian, according to Wikipedia.

“It always starts innocently and it’s always said it is just a joke — just like most discrimination does,” Mr. Morrison said during an interview last year with Fairfax Media, which was widely circulated. “And I’m just going to call that out.”

Morrison will serve out the remainder of Turnbull’s term as prime minister. A new election will be held next May.
