Prayer for Financial Miracle – Breakthrough Blessings – A Miracle Prayer – Powerful Words to Pray

A Miracle Prayer - Powerful Words to Pray - Financial Miracle Prayer - Blessing and Breakthrough

Many things can happen to us in life that can lead to financial difficulty – such as the loss of a job, a business getting into unexpected difficulty, or even having a baby. Here are three prayers you can pray to ask God for help with the restoration of your financial affairs. Also further down on this page are quotes from the bible which remind us that God provides for all our needs as we trust in Him, and the famous prayer of Jabez, who approached God with great boldness, and saw a remarkable answer to his prayer.

Prayer for financial miracle

O Lord,

You placed the stars in the sky.
You created a myriad of beautiful life.
You gave us our breathe and water to drink.
You are a living Lord.
You are my Saviour, in whom I trust.
Please rescue me from this financial crisis,
Come redeem this situation.
I ask for your almighty hand to come and cover me.
Give me wisdom and strength to stand strong through this storm.
I ask for a miracle by your redeeming love.
Please restore me, lead me to a safe place, a secure place,
A place of financial balance.

In you I trust.

Financial blessing prayer

Dear God,

Bless the work of our hands, the work of our minds and the work of our hearts.
May each day be an offering of worship to you.
May your goodness flow through our every deed.
And may you keep us, shelter us, protect us and feed us.
That we may be blessed with the finances we need,
And have the love and grace to give generously to all that are in need.

Prayer for favor

(a prayer for God’s blessing on an event or situation)

Please cover this situation with your loving hand.
Bring your peace, healing and hope.
Hold us close and keep our hearts and minds safe.
We ask that the power of your truth would turn things around and bring your light and love.
We choose to rest in your Almighty hand, knowing that you are our fortress in times of struggle.
Thank you that you will protect us from all harm.

Prayer for financial release

(a prayer for release from debt)

Heavenly Father,

I know that heaven is the treasure, that if I were to count the blessings of love, family and friendship I am rich beyond telling.
And yet, I confess I feel poor, that this financial debt weighs on my heart, fills my mind and grieves my soul.
O God, I can not see a way free, and despite all my hard work and efforts I still live under this debt.
Please, come and renew my mind, set it free as I leave this burden at the foot of the cross.
Help me to understand your heart for me, to breathe, live and love in your freedom. Lord, I put my trust in you, and ask for a miracle, for finances that free me from these chains.

Please hold my family and me.
Keep us all safe until that time when we are truly free.

Strong PRAYER IN FINANCIAL CRISIS - Miracle Financial Breakthrough - Prayer for Financial Blessing and Favor

We’ve all been there. The moment where you cross your fingers and pray that the bills won’t bounce. Perhaps you’ve been faced with unemployment and you have no earthly idea how you’ll be able to make next month’s rent payment. Or maybe you’re working two jobs and still can’t seem to get ahead. Financial issues can be extremely stressful and effect so many different aspects of life – both physically and emotionally.

In order to gain better control over your finances, it may be wise to consult a financial advisor who has a better idea of how to manage funds and what type of options are accessible for your specific situation. While you may believe that you have it under control and perceive no other workable solutions, getting a second opinion on your financial situation can prove to make an extreme difference. Along with professional help, it’s important to maintain your sanity with spiritual assistance. You’ll discover a financial expert’s assistance coupled with prayer will provide you with the hope and motivation you will need to overcome just about anything.

The Bible provides Christians with a number of scriptures focused on money, finances and giving. Philippians 4:19 is one of my go-to scriptures to reference when I’m facing financial issues. The verse says, “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” It’s important, despite the frustrations tough finances brings forth, to know that the Lord is always by your side. He will never give you more than you can manage and will provide the necessities to live a prosperous life. First, place your faith in the Lord and he’ll do the rest.

“Dear Lord, help me to leave my financial worries in Your Hands. Guide me to peace so that I can hear your wisdom. Keep me mindful of my blessings no matter how much or little I may have. Grant me the patience and tolerance necessary to calm my spirit knowing that you have everything under control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Patience is a virtue that is required within so many elements of life – finances being one of those main elements. From time-to-time God’s children become so bogged down with the endless list of demands our life brings forward. The Lord understands your frustrations and sees firsthand how much work you’re putting in each day. Chin up friend – ask the Lord to grant you the necessary patience to get through this difficult financial period. While it may seem overwhelming, while you’re in the moment, remember that the Lord will always provide you with the resources you’ll need.

“O Lord, You placed the stars in the sky. You created a myriad of beautiful life. You gave us our breathe and water to drink.

You are a living Lord. You are my Savior, in whom I trust. Please rescue me from this financial crisis, Come redeem this situation. I ask for your almighty hand to come and cover me.

Give me wisdom and strength to stand strong through this storm. I ask for a miracle by your redeeming love. Please restore me, lead me to a safe place, a secure place, a place of financial balance. In you I trust. Amen.”

Jesus Christ, who is your Lord and Savior, understands better than anyone the spontaneity in life – and moreover, how those unexpected times can bring on financial burdens. If you’re going through a difficult time, ask the Lord for a miracle through prayer. A prayer for financial help from God can be a definite game changer and provide you with the resources that you need to get out of the hole. The world is filled with an insurmountable amount of solutions; however, identifying those answers can prove to be very challenging. Through prayer, ask the Lord to give you guidance coupled with the patience you’ll need to discover the financial solution you desperately need. In many cases, you’ll discover a solution that is seemingly been in front of you the entire time. In addition, this difficult financial time could also lead you to wisdom that you would have ordinarily been blind to.

Lastly, one of the strongest messages spiritual messages comes from Matthew.

These words redefine the true meaning behind necessity and desire. Often times, we as human beings, become obsessed with the materialistic aspects of things. Sometimes objects appear to be a necessity however, in fact, these items are not a vital aspect of survival.

“Our Lord challenged us in the Gospels not to worry about what we need in terms of the necessities of life such as food and clothing, but rather to “seek first the kingdom of God….and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). He also advised us to not to worry about tomorrow, as it would take care of itself (Matthew 6:34).”

Matthew 6:33-34 are lines to memorize and revisit when you decide it’s necessary to request a prayer for financial help from God. Our Lord came face to face with so many challenges during his life – and at times he wasn’t presented with the most appealable odds. Yet, the Lord made his resources work and did his best to make sure those around him also had a livable quality of life. Before you say a prayer for financial help, reevaluate your situation and ask yourself some very important questions. Can you wake up tomorrow and survive without the money you are asking for? Will you go hungry if you do not have the financial help you’re praying to the Lord for? Will your family be in a state of destitution without these funds? If your answer is no, then you’ll discover that life is not that bad off as is. Answering these definitive questions will help to paint the reality that may be skewed in your mind. However, if your answers to those questions are yes then find comfort in knowing that the Lord will provide and hear your prayers. Always remember that your God will always be by your side.

7 Keys To Praying In A Financial Miracle – Prayer for Financial Breakthrough and Blessing

7 Keys To Praying In A Financial Miracle

7 Keys To Praying In A Financial Miracle

Written by Harold Herring. .

Need a financial miracle?  The wrong place to look for answers and direction is Google Search.

I did a search on “how to pray for financial miracles.”

The first reference was an ad offering me a miracle prayer cloth.

I believe in prayer cloths. . .I have given them away in times past and may even do so again because Paul gave them away in the book of Acts when the anointing was strong.  However, I don’t think a prayer cloth is the first key to your miracle.

The second reference began by saying:

“Dear Lord, we pray for a favor that financial miracles may come our way the soonest. We don’t ask for more than what we need Lord.

We just need the right amount we need to clear all our debts as well as my husband’s. Nothing more than that Lord.”

Ok, I’m good with the prayer cloth. . .but let me tell you I’m going to ask for more than what I need. . .because there’s a world that needs my help as well.  It’s not just about me and mine.

Anyone who would limit or restrict God’s blessing flow needs a check-up from the neck-up. . .and a better understanding of the Word.

Let’s establish some basic facts.

First, our God is a God of miracles.

Second, make sure the windows of heaven are open over your life.

Third, He hears and answers your prayers because He promised He would.

Fourth, His best is not about us living from miracle to miracle.

Fifth, if you doubt your miracle manifestation . . .you will do without it.

Sixth, make it a part of your daily confession.

Seventh, stop doing stupid things financially and begin using His wisdom.

I could very easily teach those seven points. . .they’re all good. . .but they’re not the ones God gave me when I started this writing today.

1.         Repent Of All Unrighteousness and Foolishness.

1 John 1:9 in the Amplified Bible says:

“If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].”

I rejoice that He will “cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Now that’s something so profound that we should shout enough to get up and run around the room.  Freedom from sin’s hold is huge.

To be unrighteous. . .we have first been righteous.  If we were still sinners, then we would not have been righteous.  So at some point it means we were born again.

Sadly, there are too many folks who’ve attended church, sang songs of praise and love the Lord only to backslide.   Generally, people who backslide are not disappointed with God but with themselves or another “saint” in the church.  Unfortunately, sometimes it’s the pastor who has fallen into sin.

People tend to look toward and often idolize the messenger instead of the One in the message.  But alas, this line of thinking should be in a teaching of its own.

It’s interesting that the verse equates unrighteousness with “everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought and action.”

So putting it that way, we could say . . . if we are not conforming to the purpose, thought-process and actions of the Lord and His Word, then we’re guilty of unrighteousness.  Are we teachable? Do we daily desire to do what He wants instead of what we want?

What is God purpose for your life?

If you’re not dreaming it. . .living it. . .manifesting it. . .then are you guilty of unrighteousness?  That’s an interesting thought, isn’t it?

Have you sought His presence to determine His plans for you?

Exodus 9:16 in the Amplified Bible says:

“But for this very purpose have I let you live, that I might show you My power, and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.”

One more scripture. . .Romans 9:17 says:

“For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.”

Repenting of unrighteousness is more than confessing the obvious sins. . .it’s not flowing in His purpose for our lives. . .not thinking as He would have us think. . .and not doing what He would have us do.  When He shows us something we need to change, are we willing to change it to please Him?

Our righteousness. . .brings glory and honor to Him.

Bottom line. . .if you’re praying for a financial miracle. . .repent of everything that you know holds you back.

2.         Recognize and Praise Him As A Miracle Working God.

If you need a financial miracle. . .you should be praising God for what He’s already done in your life.

Sadly, when under economic attack. . .many believers shift into panic instead of praise mode.  Feeling desperate . . .depressed and helpless.

If you’ve felt that way, Psalm 34:2 offers some great advice for you:

“. . .let all who are helpless take heart.”

To be helpless is to be without help.  If you feel helpless. . .that’s the perfect time to begin rejoicing and praising God for His faithful promises..

How do you take heart in the middle of a storm. . .by praising Him in all things.

The Message Bible translation of Psalm 34:2 says:

“I live and breathe God; if things aren’t going well, hear this and be happy.”

In the midst of your financial storm. . .don’t feel helpless. . .be happy as you Praise Him.

Psalm 34:3 says:

“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.”

No matter what. . .He is so worthy of all our praise. . .that phrase is so much more than song lyrics . . .it should be our lifestyle.

Actually, Psalm 34 is full of encouraging scriptures to praise God for and claim in the midst of any battle:

4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and the Lordheard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of the Lordencampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

15 The eyes of the Lordare upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

17 The righteous cry, and the Lordheareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lorddelivereth him out of them all.

22 The Lordredeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Psalm 35:28 in the Amplified Bible offers some pretty good advice:

“And my tongue shall talk of Your righteousness, rightness, and justice, and of [my reasons for] Your praise all the day long.”

Without question, if you want to feel the presence of the Lord fast, then start praising Him.  There is a lot to praise Him for.

Praising Him for what you’ve got. . .regardless of how meager it may seem. . .and what He’s going to do. . .is a giant step towards your financial miracle.

3.         You Gotta Know He Doesn’t Play Favorites—You are a favorite.

God has given me a new look at a well-known and often quoted scripture.

Acts 10:34 says:

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.”

The New International Version says:

“Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism.”

I have read Acts 10:34 in thirteen different translations and I have not seen any sort of asterisk or footnote indicating that this scripture doesn’t apply to everybody on planet earth.

Having said all that. . .let me give you a different perspective.

Acts 10:34 in the Message Bible says:

“Peter fairly exploded with his good news: “It’s God’s own truth, nothing could be plainer: God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open.”

God plays no favorites. . .that is absolute. . .but you can determine whether or not He does for you.  Let’s examine this verse a little closer.

“. . .God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from. . .”

This phrase confirms the fact that God doesn’t play favorites and is not a respecter of persons.   However, let’s look at the remainder of the verse.

“. . .if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open.”

If you want God. . .in other words, if you ask. . .if you seek. . .if you knock. . .if you obey . . . you will find He is no respecter of persons.

Let’s say it another way. . .God respects and honors those whose hearts are open to obey His word.  I didn’t say ‘be perfect for Him.’  I said if we even desire to obey Him.

Think about it.

4.         Ask With Specificity

Let me ask you several questions.

Do you want a raise?  How much?  When do you want the raise to become effective?

When do you plan to pay off your first debt?  How will you do it?  What’s your plan?  When and how will you pay off your second debt?

How much weight do you want to release?  I don’t like the phrase “lose weight” because when you lose something …your natural reaction is to find it.  When will you start exercising?  What days of the week?  What exercises?  How long will your exercise program last each day?

Our God is a God of specificity which is why you must be specific in your miracle prayer request.

If you don’t have specific goals you are just ‘wishing and a hoping.’  Specificity greatly increases the likelihood of greater results.

God didn’t just tell Noah to go out and build a boat . . .He was specific.

Genesis 6:14-16 in the New King James Version says:

“Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.

15 And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.

16 You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.”

God didn’t just tell Moses He was going to feed the children of Israel. . .He was specific.

Exodus 16:8 in the New Living Translation says:

“Then Moses added, “The Lord will give you meat to eat in the evening and bread to satisfy you in the morning, for he has heard all your complaints against him. What have we done? Yes, your complaints are against the Lord, not against us.”

Exodus 16:16 in the New Living Translation says:

“These are the Lord’s instructions: Each household should gather as much as it needs. Pick up two quarts for each person in your tent.”

I could give you numerous other scriptures about God’s desire for specificity in what we desire in our future and yes, even in our miracle.

Habakkuk 2:2 says:

“And the Lord… said, Write the vision, and make it plain… that he may run that readeth it.  For the vision . . . shall speak …it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

The Contemporary English Version of Habakkuk 2:2 says:

“Then the LORD told me:  ‘I will give you my message in the form of a vision.  Write it clearly enough to be read at a glance.’”

Here’s just one more . . . from the New Testament just to show you that God hasn’t changed His mind on how we approach Him.  Philippians 3:6 in the Amplified Version of the Bible says:

“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.”

Be specific.

5.         Seek Inside Information From A Source That’s Always Right

There is a phrase that I want you to repeat over and over again.

Say out loud.

“God is my closest advisor, friend and miracle provider.  He always leads me in the way that I should go.  He always gives me the best advice.  He’s never wrong.  He’s always right on time with what I need.”

James 4:2 in the New Living Translation says:

“Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.”

God is offering you inside information about your future.

The enemy of your soul. . .the nemesis of your success. . .the would-be destroyer of your destiny can try to keep you from getting the inside information that you need to make the right decisions.   But the answers are right there and available to you if you choose to read them and put them to work in your life.

James 1:5 in the New Living Translation says:

“If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it.”

There is something quite comforting in knowing you have immediate and unlimited access to inside information on miracle manifestation and every other aspect of your life.

Plus the fact that God’s information is always right. . .and right on time.

Psalm 119:137-138 in the ERV (Easy to Read Version) says:

“Lord, you do what is right,  and your decisions are fair.  The rules you have given us are right.  We can trust them completely.”

God gives you inside information and . . .you can trust it completely.

6.         Identify, Knock Out and Remove All Obstacles, Hindrances, Roadblocks and Doubt.

What’s the main thing that’s keeping you from miracle manifestation?

The words:  obstacles, hindrances and roadblocks are not in the King James Version of the Bible.  But they are stumbling blocks to your miracle manifestation.

Obstacles. . .are things that block or hinder progress. . . they are things you have to overcome.

Booker T. Washington said:

“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.”

When it comes to overcoming obstacles remember the words Henry Ford once said:

“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.”

Hindrances. . .are things or perhaps people who are hindering you from doing what you know to do because you’ve take your eyes off your Source and them on people or circumstances.

Harriet Beecher Stowe, the author of Uncle Tom’s Cabin said:

“The real democratic American idea is, not that every man shall be on a level with every other man, but that every man shall have liberty to be what God made him, without hindrance.”

A roadblock. . .is an obstruction designed to send people through unknown territory and delay their progress.

Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player to every draw a breath in my opinion, said;

“If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.”

Doubt. . .will make you question. . .what it is you really believe.

If you make an honest assessment of where you are in every area of your life. . .you would no doubt be able to identify what it is that’s holding you back.

The best way to overcome obstacles, hindrances and roadblocks is a direct frontal assault.

Here’s where your inside information is also of enormous benefit.

Proverbs 3:26 in the Amplified Bible says:

“For the Lord shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and shall keep your foot from being caught [in a trap or some hidden danger].”

7.         Give God Your Seed with Expectation

Genesis 8:22 says:

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

There is seedtime and harvest. . .sowing and reaping. . .as long as the earth remains.

If you don’t sow with an expectation of a harvest. . .you’re wasting your time.

Too many timesI’ve heard people say, “Well, I tried tithing and it didn’t work for me.  I gave offerings but nothing happened.  I never received a harvest.  This giving stuff just doesn’t work for me.”

When people make statements about how they tried tithing and it didn’t work for them;  the truth is that God was trying them to see if they would become faithful stewards or if they’d quit.

God never gave up on them; they just gave up on Him.  A person’s expectations must be rooted in the Word of God . . .not in circumstances around them.

Galatians 6:7 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.”

There is confidence in knowing that whatever you sow. . .you will reap.

If you don’t send a ship out … you can’t expect one to come back.

If you leave your seed in the barn … it will never produce a crop in the field.

But don’t just send or plant… and forget it … be looking for the harvest.

Expectation brings manifestation and His rewards.

Proverbs 24:14 in the Amplified Bible says:

“So shall you know skillful and godly Wisdom to be thus to your life; if you find it, then shall there be a future and a reward, and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.”

A final thought. . .we know when we pray. . .He not only listens. . .He answers our prayers.  When we know we are lined up with the Word. . .we have every scriptural right to expect miracle manifestation in our lives.

Therefore, we must stand strong and expectant and not give in until we see the harvest.

Jesus I turn to You. Heal my body and soul. Heal my body, …heal my life. Come into my heart. Fill my soul. Change me. Mold me. Use me. Heal me. Deliver me. Transform my life and never let me be the same again. Cleanse me with your Holy blood and make me Whole.

Jesus – in You I have the Eternal life. And this is Eternal Life, that I may know You, the only True God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent ( John 17:1-5 ). Let me know You deeply through Holy Spirit Father. Reveal Your Will to me according to my calling.

Heavenly Father fill me with the Holy Spirit and Baptize me with the Holy Ghost and Fire. That I may have part of the First Resurrection ( Rev 20:5-6). I receive Your Spirit and the Spiritual Gifts as Holy Spirit gives me according to His Will. I desire for Spiritual Gifts.

Jesus. Give me a new mind and new heart and a new spirit. Transform my life as I surrender to Your Divine Calling. I surrender to Your will. I surrender to receive the Power!

Jesus is Alive and hears my prayer right now!

I give myself fully to You Jesus. I give myself fully to You Holy Spirit.
I receive Your Power!
I receive Your Anointing!
I receive the Anointing of the Holy Ghost right now!

The presence of God is over my life!

And now I proclaim : “God Almighty is my Father. Jesus Christ is my Saviour. Holy Spirit is my Comforter ( John 16:7-15 ). I am Born Again of the water and of the Spirit ( John 3:5-6 ). I have inherited an Eternal Life. I am now part of the Body of Christ ( Rom 12:5 ).”

In Jesus Mighty and Holy name and in the Blood of Everlasting Covenant (Hebrews 13:20-21),

I Pray and give You the Glory,

John 1:12 – KJV, 1978

12. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Rejoice! Welcome to God’s family. You are a New Creation with the Holy Spirit. Born again and in the Kingdom of God. All former things have passed away.

Put your hand on your heart and start to speak and utter, if the tongues of the Holy Spirit come…Be sure of your Baptism with the Holy Ghost! There can be in the beginning only few words. If there are no tongues. Bible declares still that you are saved and born again. They come later for confirmation of Baptism.

Next Important steps after Salvation

  1. Start praying to Father and Jesus.
  2. Get baptized, if you haven’t done it yet, as commanded by Christ.
  3. Tell someone else that you received Jesus and your new faith and Love in Jesus.
  4. Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Start reading the Bible from the beginning of Gospel of John
  5. Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
  6. Find a local church where you can worship God and Grow.
  7. Continue in what you have received from beginning from Jesus by Grace

5 Powerful Spiritual Warfare Prayers to Start Your Day – Declaration of Victory of GOD JESUS CHRIST

5 Powerful Spiritual Warfare Prayers to Start Your Day

5 Powerful Spiritual Warfare Prayers to Start Your Day

– Declaration of Victory of GOD JESUS CHRIST

Intro: Heading off into our day with prayer

It happens to all of us. We are in a hurry, or distracted, running late and we forget to start off our day with prayer. Heading off into our day without a solid foundation of prayer is like skipping breakfast.

Soon, we are feeling weak and confused. It becomes difficult to cope with the spiritual trials of our day.

We make mistakes, get angry, and say things we wish we hadn’t. We offend our Lord by sinning.

Spiritual warfare prayers  help strengthen us for whatever we will face in the day to come. They are like putting on armor to keep us strong and safe. Warfare prayers are preemptive strikes against the enemy of our souls.

By praying these spiritual warfare prayers before you start your day, you will prepare yourself for any difficulties or trials that will come and you will be spiritually strong and able to resist temptation and remain at peace. Start your day breaking barriers to your financial breakthrough and blessings.

You will be armored against the darts and barbs of the enemy and will be able to stand on the word and not fall. Prayer is powerful and effective. The Bible says, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16).

These prayers will put you in the right frame of mind and prepare you for your day. Choose one and pray it in the morning before you even get out of bed, or as you enjoy your breakfast and you’ll be prepared for whatever comes your way.

A Prayer of Protection and Covering

Lord, as I begin my day, I pray that You would fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Cover me with your protecting wings and keep me safe from harm and spiritual attacks.

Help me to speak only the words you would have me speak, do only the things you would have me do, and think only the thoughts you would have me think that I may please you.

Help me to be a reflection of you so others will seek you as well. In Jesus name, Amen!

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.

A Prayer for Putting on Spiritual Armor

Father God, I ask you to help me put on the spiritual armor that will protect me from harm and help me stand before the enemy. Help me to tie the belt of truth around my waist, and protect my heart with the breastplate of righteousness.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

A Prayer of Gratitude to Bring Joy

Thank you, Lord, for another day. Help me to have a spirit of gratitude for all that you do for me. Thank you for health, a home, food on my table and friends and family. Thank you for salvation, for freedom from sin.

I give you thanks and praise for sending your son to die on the cross so I could live in you and have eternal life. The joy of the Lord is my strength; help me to walk in that strength.

Help me to share the joy of the Lord with others around me so they will draw near to you. Amen!

A Prayer of Spiritual Identity

Thank you, Jesus, for dying for me. As a blood-bought child of God, I am a co-heir with Christ. My Father is the King and I am an adopted son/daughter of God.

Philippians 1:6  Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

As a child of God, I am strong, holy and redeemed. The enemy no longer has any rights to me, he cannot touch me.

The blood of Jesus has cleansed me from all my sin, and I am no longer living under condemnation.

Thank you for my identity in Christ, I am a sinner saved by grace.

A Prayer for the Blessings of the Lord

Lord help me to obey your will and listen to your voice so that I can live in your blessing, for your word says that you will bless those who are obedient and listen to you.

Give me an obedient heart so that you may bless me wherever I go. As I obey you, bless my children, my home, my food and my finances.

Bless all that I put my hand to and bless the very land on which I walk. May all the peoples of the world learn that you bless those who seek you. Help me to be a blessing to everyone around me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Conclusion: Starting Your Day Right with Prayer.

None of these prayers takes very long to pray, and they will help you start your day off right. By spending just a few minutes you will set a positive tone to your day and help yourself grow spiritually.

You will have the protection, strength and peace to face whatever the day will bring your way. You will shine spiritually and others will be drawn to the light of God in you.

The Lord wants to protect you and bless you, he loves you and thinks of you constantly and wants to give you peace and hope for the future, and by praying in this way you will give Him permission.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

May God bless you as you declare His goodness in the morning.

Prayer: Program your mind for Victory…not Defeat!

You oh Lord JESUS, are exalted high above the earth! I lift Your name on high, for You are awesome. I stand in complete submission to Your Will. Heavenly Father, my hope, joy, strength and confidence comes from You.

So today I thank You for the price Jesus paid for me. I know that my victory depends on knowing that, yet at times, I am unable to program my mind for victory.

3 John 1:2 – Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.

John 10:10 – The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

Feeling Defeated

Occasionally, I feel so burdened by what life throws at me. Holy Spirit, when I feel defeated, and when the reality of my earthly walk becomes difficult, I pray for guidance as I program my mind for victory, not defeat.

Lord, help me when I falter, to believe that I walk in faith and in complete obedience to You. Lord, I want to always remember that when I read and meditate on Your Word, it is absorbed into my heart. I will believe in all that You have predestined for me.

And now I stand on the promises You have declared, graciously receiving them and speaking them into my life. I pray that the Holy Spirit will restore and revive me completely.

1 Peter 1:17-19 – If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear: knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a faultless and pure lamb, the blood of Christ;

Declaration of Victory

Almighty God, today I declare that I will not submit to my circumstances. I will overcome every situation because You gave me the same power that raised Christ from the dead.

That dynamite power is within me so I claim my healing, restoration and redemption. My mind is programmed for victory therefore I will not be defeated!

In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, SO BE IT… AMEN and AMEN!

The Warfare Prayer – Engaging the Battle – Deliverance Prayer through Warfare

The Warfare Prayer - Engaging the Battle - Deliverance Prayer through Warfare

“Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the victor’s crown, the life God has promised to those who love him.” – James 1:12

Engaging in the Battle

We need tools in spiritual warfare as well. It has been the underlying purpose of this book to provide practical, usable information and insight into the waging of a winning warfare.

The world, the flesh, and the devil will be continuously defeated if we use the weapons of our warfare. The Lord has provided all the tools we need. The Lord Jesus Christ has provided all of our victory. He used the same tools He has provided us in winning the battle. His victory is our victory.

It remains our responsibility to use these weapons so graciously provided in His grace. Every time you use them you’ll thank God for the tools of victory He has provided. Just as I think with fond remembrance of the man who gave me the tool box when I use my carpenter’s tools, so your heart will reach out in an ever deepening gratitude to your Lord.

In previous chapters, importance of doctrinal truth and doctrinal praying was intended to be lifted high. Doctrine, God’s unchanging truth, is mighty in defeating our enemies. This truth must get deep into our souls. This can only come about as we gain understanding of the Holy Word of God and then use that Word aggressively in our lives.

With the permission and approval of Dr. Victor Matthews, professor of theology at the Grand Rapids Baptist Bible College and Seminary, I include here some very fine helps in keeping doctrinal truth in the forefront of your warfare.

“The Daily Affirmation of Faith” was written by Dr. Matthews to provide a concise, clear statement of the truth of the Word of God as it applies to our victory. I commend this affirmation for daily reading aloud on the part of those who are experiencing intense warfare. It will do much to build spiritual foundation into your soul. It will keep the ground of your victory aggressively in action against your enemies. Study the texts of Scripture for your own enlightenment and edification.

The Daily Affirmation of Faith

“Today I deliberately choose to submit myself fully to God as He has made Himself known to me through the Holy Scripture which I honestly accept as the only inspired, infallible, authoritative standard for all life and practice. In this day I will not judge God, His work, myself, or others on the basis of feelings or circumstances.

  1. I recognize by faith that the triune God is worthy of all honor, praise, and worship as the Creator, Sustainer, and End of all things. I confess that God, as my Creator, made me for Himself. In this day I therefore choose to live for Him (Rev 5:9,10; Is 43:1,7,21; Rev 4:11).

  2. I recognize by faith that God loved me and chose me in Jesus Christ before time began (Eph 1:1-7).

  3. I recognize by faith that God has proven His love to me in sending His Son to die in my place, in whom every provision has already been made for my past, present, and future needs through His representative work, and that I have been quickened, raised, seated with Jesus Christ in the heavenlies, and anointed with the Holy Spirit (Ro 5:6-11; 8:28; Phil 1:6; 4:6,7,13,19; Eph 1:3; 2:5,6; Ac 2:1-4,33).

  4. I recognize by faith that God has accepted me, since I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior (Jn 1:12; Eph 1:6); that He has forgiven me (Eph 1:7); adopted me into His family, assuming every responsibility for me (Jn 17:11,17; Eph 1:5; Phil 1:6); given me eternal life (Jn 3:36; I Jn 5:9-13); applied the perfect righteousness of Christ to me so that I am now justified (Ro 5:1; 8:3,4; 10:4); made me complete in Christ (Col 2:10); and offers Himself to me as my daily sufficiency through prayer and the decisions of faith (I Co 1:30; Col 1:27; Gal 2:20; Jn 14:13,14; Mt 21:22; Ro 6:1-19; Heb 4:1-3,11).

  5. I recognize by faith that the Holy Spirit has baptized me into the Body of Christ (I Co 12:13); sealed me (Eph 1:13,14); anointed me for life and service (Ac 1:8; Jn 7:37-39); seeks to lead me into a deeper walk with Jesus Christ (Jn 14:16-18; 15:26,27; 16:13-15; Ro 8:11-16); and to fill my life with Himself (Eph 5:18).

  6. I recognize by faith that only God can deal with sin and only God can produce holiness of life. I confess that in my salvation my part was only to receive Him and that He dealt with my sin and saved me. Now I confess that in order to live a holy life, I can only surrender to His will and receive Him as my sanctification; trusting Him to do whatever may be necessary in my life, without and within, so I may be enabled to live today in purity, freedom, rest and power for His glory (Jn 1:12; I Co 1:30; II Co 9:8; Gal 2:20; Heb 4:9; I Jn 5:4; Jude 24).

Having confessed that God is worthy of all praise, that the Scriptures are the only authoritative standard, that only God can deal with sin and produce holiness of life, I again recognize my total dependence upon Him and submission to Him. I accept the truth that praying in faith is absolutely necessary for the realization of the will and grace of God in my daily life.

Recognizing that faith is a total response to God by which the daily provisions the Lord has furnished in Himself are appropriated, I therefore make the following decisions of faith:

  1. For this day (Heb 3:6,13,15; 4:7) I make the decision of faith to surrender wholly to the authority of God as He has revealed Himself in the Scripture to obey Him. I confess my sin, face the sinful reality of my old nature, and deliberately choose to walk in the light, in step with Christ, throughout the hours of this day (Ro 6:16-20; Phil 2:12,13; I Jn 1:7,9).

  2. For this day I make the decision of faith to surrender wholly to the authority of God as revealed in the Scripture–to believe Him. I accept only His Word as final authority. I now believe that since I have confessed my sin He has forgiven and cleansed me (I Jn 1:9). I accept at full value His Word of promise to be my sufficiency and rest, and will conduct myself accordingly (Ex 33:1; I Co 1:30; II Co 9:8; Phil 4:19).

  3. For this day I make the decision of faith to recognize that God has made every provision so that I may fulfill His will and calling. Therefore, I will not make any excuse for my sin and failure (I Th 5:24).

  4. For this day I make the decision of faith deliberately to receive from God that provision which He has made for me. I renounce all self-effort to live the Christian life and to perform God’s service; renounce all sinful praying which asks God to change circumstances and people so that I may be more spiritual; renounce all drawing back from the work of the Holy Spirit within and the call of God without; and renounce all nonbiblical motives, goals, and activities which serve my sinful pride.

— I now sincerely receive Jesus Christ as my sanctification, particularly as my cleansing from the old nature, and ask the Holy Spirit to apply to me the work of Christ accomplished for me in the crucifixion. In cooperation with and dependence upon Him, I obey the command to “put off the old man” (Ro 6:1-14; I Co 1:30; Gal 6:14; Eph 4:22).

— I now sincerely receive Jesus Christ as my sanctification, particularly as my enablement moment by moment to live above sin, and ask the Holy Spirit to apply to me the work of the resurrection so that I may walk in newness of life. I confess that only God can deal with my sin and only God can produce holiness and the fruit of the Spirit in my life. In cooperation with and dependence upon Him, I obey the command to “put on the new man” (Ro 6:1-4; Eph 4:24).

— I now sincerely receive Jesus Christ as my deliverance from Satan and take my position with Him in the heavenlies, asking the Holy Spirit to apply to me the work of the ascension. In His Name I submit myself to God and stand against all of Satan’s influence and subtlety. In cooperation with and dependence upon God, I obey the command to “resist the devil” (Eph 1:20- 23; 2:5; 4:27; 6:10-18; Col 1:13; Ja 4:7; I Pe 3:22; 5:89).

— I now sincerely receive the Holy Spirit as my anointing for every aspect of life and service for today. I fully open my life to Him to fill me afresh in obedience to the command to “be filled with the Holy Spirit” (Eph 5:18; Jn 7:37-39; 14:16,17; 15:26,27; 16:7-15; Ac 1:8).

“Having made this confession and these decisions of faith, I now receive God’s promised rest for this day (Heb 4:1-13). Therefore, I relax in the trust of faith, knowing that in the moment of temptation, trial, or need, the Lord Himself will be there as my strength and sufficiency (I Co 10:13).”

The Warfare Prayer

Another doctrinal tool that has proved of great benefit to me and to many others is the “Warfare Prayer” composed by Dr. Matthews. As a theologian, his unique and thorough way of including sound doctrine in this prayer is most helpful. I would urge anyone facing obvious spiritual warfare to use this prayer daily. It is good to read it aloud as a prayer unto the Lord. Eventually one will be able to incorporate the doctrinal truths expressed into his own prayer life without reading it.

The devil hates this prayer. Usually before working with anyone who has deep demonic affliction, I will request that we read this prayer in unison. Many times the oppressed one can read only with great difficulty. Sometimes sight problems, voice problems, or mind confusion become so intense that the afflicted person can continue only with great effort.

It is the truth of God that Satan cannot resist, and he vigorously fights it being applied against him. Those serious about warfare should daily use a prayer of this type along with other prayer examples shared in this book.

Heavenly Father, I bow in worship and praise before You. I cover myself with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ as my protection during this time of prayer. I surrender myself completely and unreservedly in every area of my life to Yourself. I do take a stand against all the workings of Satan that would hinder me in this time of prayer, and I address myself only to the true and living God and refuse any involvement of Satan in my prayer.

[Satan, I command you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to leave my presence with all your demons, and I bring the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ between us.]

Heavenly Father, I worship You, and I give You praise. I recognize that You are worthy to receive all glory and honor and praise. I renew my allegiance to You and pray that the blessed Holy Spirit would enable me in this time of prayer.

I am thankful, heavenly Father, that You have loved me from past eternity, that You sent the Lord Jesus Christ into the world to die as my substitute that I would be redeemed. I am thankful that the Lord Jesus Christ came as my representative, and that through Him You have completely forgiven me; You have given me eternal life; You have given me the perfect righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ so I am now justified. I am thankful that in Him You have made me complete, and that You have offered Yourself to me to be my daily help and strength.

Heavenly Father, come and open my eyes that I might see how great You are and how complete Your provision is for this new day. I do, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, take my place with Christ in the heavenlies with all principalities and powers (powers of darkness and wicked spirits) under my feet.

I am thankful that the victory the Lord Jesus Christ won for me on the cross and in His resurrection has been given to me and that I am seated with the Lord Jesus Christ in the heavenlies; therefore, I declare that all principalities and powers and all wicked spirits are subject to me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I am thankful for the armor You have provided, and I put on the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the sandals of peace, the helmet of salvation. I lift up the shield of faith against all the fiery darts of the enemy, and take in my hand the sword of the spirit, the Word of God, and use Your Word against all the forces of evil in my life; and I put on this armor and live and pray in complete dependence upon You, blessed Holy Spirit.

I am grateful, heavenly Father, that the Lord Jesus Christ spoiled all principalities and powers and made a show of them openly and triumphed over them in Himself. I claim all that victory for my life today. I reject out of my life all the insinuations, the accusations, and the temptations of Satan.

I affirm that the Word of God is true, and I choose to live today in the light of God’s Word. I choose, heavenly Father, to live in obedience to You and in fellowship with Yourself. Open my eyes and show me the areas of my life that would not please You. Work in my life that there be no ground to give Satan a foothold against me.

Show me any area of weakness. Show me any area of my life that I must deal with so that I would please You. I do in every way today stand for You and the ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life.

By faith and in dependence upon You, I put off the old man and stand into all the victory of the crucifixion where the Lord Jesus Christ provided cleansing from the old nature. I put on the new man and stand into all the victory of the resurrection and the provision He has made for me there to live above sin.

Therefore, in this day, I put off the old nature with its selfishness, and I put on the new nature with its love. I put off the old nature with its fear and I put on the new nature with its courage. I put off the old nature with its weakness and I put on the new nature with its strength. I put off today the old nature with all its deceitful lusts and I put on the new nature with all its righteousness and purity.

I do in every way stand into the victory of the ascension and the glorification of the Son of God where all principalities and powers were made subject to Him, and I claim my place in Christ victorious with Him over all the enemies of my soul. Blessed Holy Spirit, I pray that You would fill me. Come into my life, break down every idol and cast out every foe.

I am thankful, heavenly Father, for the expression of Your will for my daily life as You have shown me in Your Word. I therefore claim all the will of God for today.

I am thankful that You have blessed me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I am thankful that You have begotten me unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. I am thankful that You have made a provision so that today I can live filled with the Spirit of God with love and joy and self-control in my life. And I recognize that this is Your will for me, and I therefore reject and resist all the endeavors of Satan and of his demons to rob me of the will of God.

I refuse in this day to believe my feelings, and I hold up the shield of faith against all the accusations and against all the insinuations that Satan would put in my mind. I claim the fullness of the will of God for today.

I do, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, completely surrender myself to You, heavenly Father, as a living sacrifice. I choose not to be conformed to this world. I choose to be transformed by the renewing of my mind, and I pray that You would show me Your will and enable me to walk in all the fullness of the will of God today.

I am thankful, heavenly Father, that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, to the casting down of imaginations and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and to bring every thought into obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore in my own life today I tear down the strongholds of Satan, and I smash the plans of Satan that have been formed against me. I tear down the strongholds of Satan against my mind, and I surrender my mind to You, blessed Holy Spirit.

I affirm, heavenly Father, that You have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I break and smash the strongholds of Satan formed against my emotions today, and I give my emotions to You. I smash the strongholds of Satan formed against my will today, and I give my will to You, and choose to make the right decisions of faith. I smash the strongholds of Satan formed against my body today, and I give my body to You, recognizing that I am Your temple; and I rejoice in Your mercy and Your goodness.

Heavenly Father, I pray that now through this day You would quicken me; show me the way that Satan is hindering and tempting and lying and counterfeiting and distorting the truth in my life. Enable me to be the kind of person that would please You. Enable me to be aggressive in prayer. Enable me to be aggressive mentally and to think Your thoughts after You, and to give You Your rightful place in my life.

Again, I now cover myself with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and pray that You, blessed Holy Spirit, would bring all the work of the crucifixion, all the work of the resurrection, all the work of the glorification, and all the work of Pentecost into my life today. I surrender myself to You.

I refuse to be discouraged. You are the God of all hope. You have proven Your power by resurrecting Jesus Christ from the dead, and I claim in every way Your victory over all satanic forces active in my life, and I reject these forces; and I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. Amen.

Warfare Prayer – Cleaning and Routing Demons – Jesus Christ Name – Prayer against Satan

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

Are you in a battle today, and it’s taking more than just a physical toll on you? Are you finding it difficult to find the words to tell the devil to be gone? Spiritual warfare is crippling, real, and troublesome, but Jesus has already won us the victory! Pray along with these words now and let the Lord break the chains of fear and bondage!

Jesus, sometimes I can almost sense the heaviness of pressure mounting and the ominous presence of darkness around me. I recognize my enemy is at work again. Whether he’s trying to discourage me to get sidetracked, to fall into temptation, to give up, or to take my eyes off you, he’s always hanging around.

I need your supernatural power, Lord, to stand strong and not surrender. Physical force won’t help, because you’ve said the weapons of our warfare are different from those in this world. As believers, ours are powerful and can demolish strongholds and lies. These supernatural weapons originate from you. By your precious name and blood, Jesus, I’m asking you to confuse Satan and cancel his attempts to shut me and my influence down. Help me not to become discouraged or to give in when heavy times of testing come.

When I’m tired and weak, you are strong, Lord, and you are my only source of help. I cannot fight without you. Teach me how to pray and to trust you to pull down those strongholds that keep me or others helpless. Guard me from isolation that leaves me exposed and vulnerable. I believe you destroyed the power of my enemy by your death and resurrection. But like a bad penny, my enemy keeps showing up, whispering lies, twisting truth, and attempting to inflate my selfish pride. He never gives up.

I am declaring the devil and his demons liars today, Lord. Through the power of your precious name and blood, I agree with your Word and the truth that you are in me and that you are greater than my enemy who wants to rule the world. You, your Word, and prayer, Lord, are my secret weapons. I belong to you, and that fills me with a powerful God-confidence. I want to constantly dress in the spiritual armor you give me. Help me use it to defend others from Satan’s fiery darts as well. No one and nothing can snatch me away from your hand.

Strengthen my faith, Lord. Forgive my sins, so that I may be clean in your righteousness. Make me brave, so I can stand and fight the spiritual battles in my life and in our world. Give me your wisdom and discernment so I won’t be caught off guard. Together, Lord, we’ll win, because in truth, you already have.

Warfare Prayer against Lust – Warfare Prayer for uncleanness – Father Prayer – Holy Prayer

Warfare Prayer against Lust - Warfare prayer for Satan - Rebuking evil - 4 Horsemen

Warfare Prayer against Lust

Ephesians 5:3  (KJV) But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

Father, I come boldly before Your throne of grace and mercy to find help and strength in my time of need. Lord, Your word says in Matthew 26:41 to watch and pray so that we will not enter into temptation, for we know that the spirit is willing, but Father, I know my flesh is weak. Lord, Your word says in James 4:7 that if we submit ourselves unto You, and resist the enemy, he will flee from us. Lord I fully submit to You, I resist this lust, I need you. Father, I am weak, but you are made strong in my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9) So by my faith, I overcome, In You. Being unable to overcome this lust myself, I give the burden to you by faith (Psalm 55:22) so that I am able to withstand the devil and his many temptations, by my faith, my strength, and hope, that is in in you. Therefore, Lord I confess that I am strong in You, and in the power of Your might (Ephesians 6:10).

Father, in the name of Jesus, I cast down every wicked, lustful, lascivious, and unclean thought of the enemy in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth (2 Cor 10:5). In your strength, I refuse, and will refuse, to allow any thoughts of the enemy to enter in; I cast them from me in the name of Jesus. I completely repent and turn from all lust. Father, I pray that You will cause me to think upon those things which are pure, honest, and of a good report (Philippians 4:8), and I pray that you will not allow my mind to wander into idleness and lust, but that it stay upon the name and person of Jesus.

Father, I thank You for revealing the evil lustful spirits, attempting to drive me to lust. I thank You and believe you will not allow me to be drawn away by the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, or the pride of Life (John 2:16). I thank You for not allowing me to be overcome with lust in my eyes, for I know the eyes are the door to the heart, and Your words says to guard my heart with all diligence (Proverbs 4:23) Father, please help me guard my heart by the words that I speak, and strengthen me to guard my thoughts and eyes. Father, I pray that You place upon me the whole amour of God, so that I will always be able to stand against the devises of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-20). I pray and thank you, that You lead and deliver me from every temptation of lust, sin, and evil desire.

In the name of the Lord Jesus, I take authority over Satan, every principality, every evil spirit, and every spirit of wickedness in high places. I cut every ungodly soul tie associated with all evil memory recall concerning lust. I bind all spirits involved in the name of Jesus Christ, and render them without power to operate in my life. I cut all lust, and all its triggers off my mind, will, and emotions and I surrender lust and its desires from out of my heart, to you Lord Jesus. In the name of Jesus, I bind and cast off every spirit of lust, adultery, fornication, lasciviousness, and uncleanliness in my life. Father, I surrender my body to you as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1), and I recognize that my body is the temple of the Almighty Living God, and a dwelling place for His Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and I rejoice in knowing that the blood of Jesus Christ sanctifies, cleanses and covers me.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy:

Satan, in the name of the Lord Jesus, every stronghold, you have attempted to bring against me is rendered, powerless and void, by the authority of Jesus Christ! I put off all forms of lust and put on my new nature, in spirit, of holiness righteousness, and purity, (Ephesians 4:24). I strip lust of all power over my flesh and carnal mind! Jesus has defeated you Satan and I take dominion over you, you are under my feet, and your power of lust and sin is broken in my life. I abide in Jesus. I have dominion and have received victory.

Father, I thank You for hearing my prayer, and delivering me from the power of the enemy. I thank You for Your word, that it is established in my heart, my thoughts, and life. I thank You for giving me power over the enemy, I thank You for strengthening me so that my body is not defiled by lust, because it is Your Temple. Thank You Lord, for restoring me, for cleansing me, and for overcoming for me. I praise You,(from my heart) and give You all the glory, and sing Hallelujah to the name of Jesus. I have the victory IN You and through You. I believe I have received (mark11:24) the victory.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

In Jesus mighty name, Amen.

7 Powerful Prayers That Focus on Protection and Security – Daily Prayer – Prayer against Enermies

7 Powerful Prayers That Focus on Protection and Security

7 Powerful Prayers That Focus on Protection and Security

Protection is on our minds daily. In a world filled with hatred, danger, and violence, how should we respond? Our children and families are at risk, and we shoulder the responsibility for their security. What can we do to shield them from harm? How can we enlist God’s help for their safety?

God has ordained prayer as the vital force we can all use to guard us and our loved ones from the evil around us. If that’s your desire, here are several prayers that might help you voice your thoughts to God:

A Daily Prayer for Protection

Lord God, I pray for Your protection as I begin this day. You are my hiding place, and under Your wings I can always find refuge. Protect me from trouble wherever I go, and keep evil far from me. No matter where I am, I will look to You as my Protector, the One Who fights for me every day. Your love and faithfulness, along with Your goodness and mercy, surround me daily, so I will not fear whatever might come against me. My trust is in You, God, and I give thanks to You for Your love and protection. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Prayer for Your Husband’s Protection

Lord Jesus, I ask You to protect my husband and shield him from danger. Make him strong, defined by Your character, so that he can lean hard on You for wisdom in any situation. Guard him by the power of Your name, and allow nothing formed against him to prosper. Hold him close to Your heart, with his eyes focused always on You. At home, work, or wherever he goes, keep his heart and thoughts pure. Lead him away from temptation, and help him to be continually aware of his enemy’s efforts to distract, deceive, or discourage him. Cancel every attempt to discredit my husband or his salvation.

May Your right hand strengthen him daily as You guard him with your presence. Help him wear his spiritual armor well, as he tries to lead his family with integrity and honor. Seal up the exits that cry for escape when responsibilities grow heavy on his shoulders. Thank You that You promise to carry his burdens and lighten his load in the daily battles of life. Preserve his testimony and keep his faith rooted deeply in You, Lord. You are His Sure Defense, and You are the only One who can truly keep him safe. Thank You, Jesus.

A Prayer for Your Children’s Protection

Father, I entrust my children into Your loving care. You are the most powerful influence in their lives, so I ask You to surround them with Your constant presence and safety. Because You love children, You are even more concerned than I am as a parent. You take their protection seriously. Place Your Holy Spirit around them like a bubble that deflects any harm aimed their way. Guard them from danger at school, whether from outside or inside. Place Your angels in strategic places, ready to move on their behalf. Let no evil come near them.

Give them a steadfast faith and trust in You that puts their fears at rest, knowing they will live in safety with Your solid protection. Guard them from temptation and those who would try to make them compromise their convictions. When trouble comes, let them cry out to You, their Deliverer and Refuge. May their security rest not in this world, but in their relationship with You and in their eternal future. Impress on them daily that this world is not their final home, and that nothing and no one can ever separate them from Your love. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

A Prayer for Protection Against Evil

Lord Jesus, evil is such a harsh word, and yet Your Word uses it frequently to describe the opposite of good. While we are all capable of sin, I ask Your protection against those who call good evil, and evil good. Guard us from those who scheme against righteousness and from those who twist truth into lies to accomplish their evil intents. May Your angels hover ever near to eradicate fear and fight against dark, spiritual forces we cannot see. Help us cast down every imagination and thought that our enemy tries to use to exalt itself against You.

You dealt our spiritual enemy a fateful blow on Calvary when you died on the cross for us and were resurrected on the third day. While evil still roams, the power of Your name and Your blood rises up to defeat and bring us victory against every evil planned against us. While malicious actions may disturb us, we use the armor of God You have given us to stand firm. You will bring justice in due time for all the harm and needless violence aimed at Your children. Until then, we remain in Your presence, aligned with Your purposes, and we look to You as our Supreme Commander and Protector. Help us to avoid temptation, and deliver us from evil, Lord. You are the Mighty One, the One Who will ultimately bring all evil to light. With You, Jesus, we are safe.

A Prayer for Protection from Earthly Enemies

Precious Jesus, You know what it means to be pursued by earthly enemies. And because of Your compassion and understanding, You know the harm we and our families face every day. As Christians and followers of Yours, we will be marked as enemies. Our children need protection from bullies, from misguided avengers, and from false philosophies that attack their spiritual heritage. Fiendish plots pursue our children’s hearts daily and try to entice them into harmful practices. Hold our loved ones tightly, Lord, and never let them go.

Command Your angels, Lord, to keep us in all our ways, so that no harm or disaster will come near to our home or our lives. Our trust is not in our ability but in Your stability as our El Shaddai. Our weapons of warfare are spiritual, and we look to You for victory. Show us when to speak up, when to listen, and when to act, always aware that You are fighting our battles for us and with us. Teach us to love our enemies, to pray for them, but to resist evil in Your powerful name. We don’t fear those who might try to hurt us physically. We are confident in our eternal security. Our fear is a holy, righteous reverence based on Who You are and Whose we have become in You. As Commander and Chief, You will defend us from all earthly enemies. And as long as You are with us, we fear no evil. In Your name, Amen.

A Prayer for Protection at Work

Lord God, I pray for Your physical and spiritual protection in the workplace, where our influence, our priorities, and our character are tested daily. Help us to remember that every foolish action reaps consequences, and every careless word carries weight among our coworkers. Others are watching, Lord, so set a watch before our mouths and guard the door of our lips. Protect us from those who try to sway our convictions or tempt us to compromise our standards in the name of success. Place an invisible banner over us that reminds us of Your protective love and that we belong to You.

Our work is important to You, so turn us away from slothfulness or misplaced priorities. When others aim criticism our way or when misunderstanding arises, guard us from impatience or anger. Protect us from our own sinful nature and help us to always take the high road of love in dealing with dissatisfied customers or disgruntled colleagues. Thank You for Your promise never to leave us or abandon us, and that Your Spirit lives inside of us to give wisdom, understanding, and security against those who want to pull us away or harm us. You are Lord, and as our Employer, we look to You to preserve all benefits involved in that relationship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Prayer for Good Health and Protection from Harm

We bless You, Lord, for You are our Jehovah Rapha, the Healer of all our diseases. Our body is the temple of Your Spirit, so we pray for protection from that which could bring harm to us physically. Guard us from stresses that steal our emotional strength and lower our immunity to fight infection. Heal us of past traumas that may affect our present or future health. Teach us how to discipline our bodies so we can grow stronger and increase our physical stamina. When challenges arise, we need not fear, for You have given us a spirit of power, of love, and a sound mind.

As the Great Physician, You know us so well. You ordained every part of our body even before we were born. Help us to treat our bodies with respect as Your beloved creations. We want to serve You with excellence, so in our weakness, grant us strength and good health so that nothing will prevent Your plan for our lives. Protect us from contagions and disease that can riddle the body and bring dangerous results. Safeguard us with wisdom to use well the rest You provide as we wait on You and with You daily. Our lives and our health are in Your hands, Lord, and our trust and faith are in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

5 Psalms that Remind You God is Near

Psalm 23:4 NIV
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 32:7 NIV
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Psalm 34:17 NIV
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.

Psalm 145:18 NIV

God doesn’t want fear to rule our lives. As our Great Protector, He is more concerned with our safety than we are. When we trust Him and His promises of protection and security, we can live boldly and confidently, knowing He is in control and will bring good out of every experience. Nothing escapes His attention, and nothing can remove us from the Father’s hand. When we pray and call on Him, He hears us, ready to meet every need. What a joy and blessing to have that kind of personal relationship with the One who knows us by name. What a sweet place of protection to rest in the arms of our loving heavenly Father.

5 Prayers for Protection – Protection from Evil Bible – Powerful Prayers for Protection and Safety from the Bible

5 Prayers for Protection - Protection from Evil Bible - Prayers for Protection and Safety from the Bible

Our world is filled with events and situations that can cause great fear and anxiety. It’s easy to become overwhelmed and live imprisoned by fear.  We are promised in God’s Word that he is faithful and will protect us (2 Thessalonians 3:3).  God wants us to let go of fear and to live life to the fullest! (John 10:10) When you are overcome by worry, use these prayers for protection to remember who God is and the protection he has promised you.

1. Prayer for Personal Protection

Father, I come to You today, bowing in my heart, asking for protection from the evil one. Lord, we are assailed moment by moment with images on television, the internet, books and newspapers that leave us vulnerable to sin of every kind. Surround us with Your divine hedge of protection. Encompass us round about with Your strength and Your might. Let all who take refuge in You be glad, let them ever sing for joy. And may You shelter us, that those who love Your name may exult in You. For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD, You surround him favor as with a shield. (Psalm 5:11-12)

Lord, I ask that You protect our minds. Father, the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6) O God, set our minds on You. Let us not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds that we may prove what Your will is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2) Help us by the power of Your Spirit to think on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything is worthy of praise, let our minds dwell on these things. (Philippians 4:8)

Strengthen us in the power of Your might, O God. Dress us in Your armor so that we can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. We know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.(Ephesians 6:10-12)

You are our keeper, O Lord, the shade on our right hand. Protect us from all evil and keep our soul. Guard our going out and our coming in. From this time and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen. – by Lynn Cooke

2. Prayer for the Protection and Safety of Family

Lord, I pray Your emotional, physical, and spiritual protection over my kids (grandkids). Keep evil far from them, and help them to trust You as their refuge and strength. I pray You will guard their minds from harmful instruction, and grant them discernment to recognize truth. I pray You will make them strong and courageous in the presence of danger, recognizing that You have overcome and will set right all injustice and wrong one day. Help them to find rest in Your shadow, as they live in the spiritual shelter You provide for them. Let them know that the only safe place is in Jesus, and that their home on earth is only temporary.  – Ryan Duncan, Culture Editor at

3. Prayer for Children’s Security

Lord, I pray that my kids (grandkids) will develop an eternal perspective and purpose, not an earthly one.  Help them to see life–and every challenge–through Your eyes, eager and unafraid to share with others the good news of Jesus wherever they go. I pray that they will set their minds on things above, not just what’s going on here, and that they will be rooted and grounded in Your love. I pray they will come to understand the extent of Your own love for them–that it surpasses all the head knowledge they will acquire in school. I pray they will be filled up with You from morning ’til night. – Rebecca Barlow Jordan

4. “St. Patrick’s Breastplate” Protective Prayer:

Celtic monks used it to start their day.The hymn was several stanzas long, and the last two stanzas were especially memorable and moving:

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

I bind unto myself the Name,
The strong Name of the Trinity;
By invocation of the same.
The Three in One, and One in Three,
Of Whom all nature hath creation,
Eternal Father, Spirit, Word:
Praise to the Lord of my salvation,
Salvation is of Christ the Lord.

5. “Priestly Blessings” Prayer from Scripture:

Numbers 6:22-27 is known as the “Priestly Blessing” or sometimes the “Aaronic Benediction.” There are seven requests made in this prayer.

The LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: “’The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.”‘ “So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”

  1. The Lord bless you…
The word “bless” means to “provide favor or benefit.” Father, we pray that for our children. You are the Eternal God. Please place Your great kindness and advantage on those we love. May they be approved and favored by You.
  2. and keep you…
The Hebrew word “keep” means to “watch, guard, defend.” This is a prayer for protection. Father, my children are not perfect. They are going to make mistakes. But please watch over them and guard them again mistakes of youth that are unalterable. Please defend them against temptation. Protect them against Satan who desires to devour them.
  3. the LORD make his face shine upon you…
This is a request for God’s presence.Father, as a parent I know that I can’t be with my children all the time, but You can. Just like they feel the warmth of the sun shining on them, please allow them to experience Your presence. Thank You for being with them wherever they go.
  4. and be gracious to you…
Grace is God’s undeserved favor. He gives us what we don’t deserve. Father, thank You for Your gift of grace. I pray that gift to be poured out on my children. Following that great gift of salvation, please show them your kindness and love in all the endeavors of their lives.
  5. the Lord turn his face toward you…
Here is a request for God’s fellowship.Father, thank You, that because of their trust in Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives in my children. Please walk with them in a powerful way. Enable them to submit to the Spirit’s control day by day and moment by moment.
  6. and give you peace.
The Hebrew word for peace used here is “shalom.” It means “completeness, wholeness, and contentment.” Lord, please calm my children’s fears; soothe their anxious souls. Keep them complete and whole in their thinking, emotions, desires, and actions.
  7. So they will put my name on ___________ (the name of your child/children).
This is a request of identification. Lord, please place Your holy mark on my children. Set them apart to be used by You. I love them but You love them more. You love them with an everlasting love. May they represent You well on their earthly journey. And when their journey is completed, welcome them home to live forever with You.

Prayers for Protection and Safety from the Bible

“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:3

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” – Psalm 46:1

“My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.” – John 17:15

‘And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” – Matthew 6:13

“Because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” – Psalm 16:10-11

Prayer for Protection

There is a long tradition in the Jewish faith of God being seen as a protector – the feast of passover celebrates this, and this theme permeates much of the Old Testament writing. In the Christian faith, not only does the Lord promise to be with his people always, but His presence is said to guard their inner beings. When Paul wrote to the Church in Philippi, he encouraged them with these words:-

“…the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus”.

(Phil 4:7, WEB)

When we pray for God’s protection, we can remind ourselves that we live in this long tradition of faith in a God as guard and protector.

Lower down on this page is a modern Christian prayer for safety and protection, an ancient Celtic prayer and a good meditation on God’s guardianship from Youtube. There are also prayers for family protection and safety at night, and two short prayers for protection at work and protection against evil. Near the bottom of this page can be found bible verses about God’s care and safety.

End Time Headlines – Analysis When blood and sand, law and war mix Prophecy News of ISRAEL JPOST

End Time Headlines - Analysis When blood and sand, law and war mix Prophecy News of ISRAEL JPOST

A new law of war frees up the IDF, and reduces civilian casualties.

One is a picture of four unarmed Palestinian minors being blown up on a Gaza beach by, according to foreign sources, an IDF attack drone. They were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and had been misidentified by the IDF drone as Hamas naval commandos.

The incident has been referred to as Black Friday because it was the incident in the war in which the single largest number of Palestinian civilians were killed by the IDF.

Then we move these three pictures into the present. In the process, we also eventually get a unique view into the IDF’s war-making and targeting process, the usually hidden and classified role of its intelligence teams and the broad question: How well does the IDF investigate itself?

In August, IDF Military Advocate-General Maj.-Gen. Sharon Afek closed the Black Friday probe, the most important legal decision relating to the 2014 war, without criminal charges – though that merely added to a line of decisions to close all war-crimes cases to date, other than a series of cases against IDF soldiers for theft.

With a years-long debate about how many Palestinian civilians died in that August 1 battle between the IDF and Hamas (estimates had ranged between 30 and 150), the IDF concluded that it had killed some 70 civilians, but had not committed any crimes.

The decision had an even greater impact because it came only days after reports in the Intercept and The Jerusalem Post exposing the entire IDF internal file regarding the Gaza beach incident.

While the coverage in the reports was very different, they both raised more penetrating questions about the sufficiency of IDF intelligence and the sufficiency of IDF warnings.

In the bigger picture, the reports delved deep into the debate about what types of borderline targets should be considered legal in asymmetric wars.

IN A recent book, former IDF chief justice and paratroops commander, and IDC Herzliya professor, Maj.-Gen. (ret.) Yishai Beer confronts these issues with a rare combination of military and academic experience along with a readiness for brutal honesty and self-evaluation. There are literally almost no individuals with an academic background who have delved as deeply into field command issues and the military judicial establishment.

In Beer’s book, Military Professionalism and Humanitarian Law: The Struggle to Reduce the Hazards of War, he argues that there is a split over interpreting international law between military lawyer practitioners and between academics and human-rights advocates which must be bridged.

This split might as well be a chasm.

He explains that military lawyers rarely take the time to fully conceptualize what they do and the bigger picture as well as to fully study international law beyond the specific concrete issues they are dealing with. Also, he says that militaries take into account humanitarian concerns, but only after a much stronger focus on achieving their military goals.

What this means in practice is that the Israeli security cabinet, mostly led by the prime minister and the defense minister, set goals for a conflict – lately these goals are usually to get Hamas to stop firing rockets on the Israeli home front. They will also define how deep IDF ground forces, versus its air force, can penetrate into Gazan territory to achieve the quiet with a general understanding of a tolerable approximate casualty threshold for Israeli soldiers and Palestinian civilians. Top IDF commanders then define which units will penetrate Gaza, when, what points they should stop at and their basic maneuvering strategy.

Before a conflict, the IDF generally, air force and naval intelligence have assembled a “target bank” of Hamas locations. The last step in all of this is that the target banks have maps indicating sensitive civilian sites nearby which cannot be targeted unless Hamas takes them over sufficiently to change their character to essentially military. In many circumstances, the IDF will also issue warnings to civilian locations of an imminent attack with fliers, telephone calls or a non-explosive warning shot on the relevant roof.

In contrast, he says that academics and human rights advocates mostly lack an understanding of how war actually works and how the dry law of conventions can and should be applied in the real world. Further, he says, they focus almost exclusively on humanitarian concerns and basically ignore a military’s need to achieve a mission.

He also describes a dizzying disconnect, where the military lawyer’s approach triumphs during times of war and the academic’s approach during times of peace, with both sides annoyed at the criticism they receive from the other side.

As a starting point, Beer suggests that in analyzing war-related issues, all involved need to adopt a professional military mentality – looking at things in terms of what really happens on the battlefield and not just analyzing philosophical issues in a classroom.

He says that this is crucial for multiple reasons.

First, he explains that without fully understanding military issues and the way things work operationally on the battlefield, even experts’ views of key issues are incomplete, missing large pieces of the picture.

Taking on a battlefield mentality could initially have the effect of insulating militaries from some charges as it could presume greater sympathy with military commanders and the way they view moral dilemmas. But after that initial effect, Beer says that grasping a battlefield mentality on the issues will allow pressing militaries to reduce the scope of what kind of objects they can consider attackable due to “military necessity.”

Essentially, he argues that critics of militaries have made a mistake in not delving into understanding real-world battlefields. This gap allows critics to stay pure at a philosophical level but forced them to cede the playing field regarding the details of what kind of attacks are truly necessary.

WHAT DOES all of this mean at a broad level?
It means Beer is contending that critics of militaries would prefer to slam all attacks where civilians were killed as criminal. They would prefer this even if their criticism is generic and they know it will not be taken seriously by military lawyers.

However, Beer’s new approach suggests that critics get “their hands dirty,” in which case they would likely need to acknowledge the legality of many attacks in which civilians are killed by Western militaries as non-criminal collateral damage, but a tragic and inevitable result of war. Instead they would need to focus their criticism on a much more limited list of specific attacks.

Beer says that if they got their hands dirty in this way, they would have a better chance of identifying core interests of a military in any given war. Once they did that, critics could challenge specific military targets as possibly not important enough to those core interests to risk civilian deaths.

Arguing that not every tank or machine gun or each military bunker needs to be destroyed to achieve an operation’s broader goals, he says that if critics adopt a military-strategy way of thinking and accept that civilian casualties as sometimes necessary they could get militaries to make a key admission: that in situations when a given military is the stronger power, they do not need to kill all enemy combatants. Rather they only need to attack combatants in circumstances which will help achieve their overall military goals.

Here, Beer pulls a stunning legal move.

In international-law speak, since 9/11, Israel, the US and some other militaries have argued that a much broader spectrum of objects can be targeted if “military necessity” is viewed in broad terms of defeating the adversary.

This means that not just fighters but even finance and economic sectors, internal security forces and government ministries of terrorist groups – like Hamas or ISIS – could now be attacked.

Beer turns this trend on its head and says that viewing a military’s goal broadly is a two-way street.

While militaries have used their broader goals to justify a more permissive approach to targeting, something which could be justifiable, he counters that a fully honest military approach would admit that many targets which might seem legal because they are combatants, should not be attacked. Not because there is no legal basis, but because it is not smart.

This would be because attacking some combatants is not really important to defeating the adversary. Not every combatant represents an existential threat and some nominal military interests that are not core to the mission can be ignored due to humanitarian concerns.

Furthermore, Beer suggests that militaries distinguish between the threat posed by different kinds of military units.

As an example, he suggests that through this new lens it could be argued that all or many of the Iraqi forces – which fled Kuwait into Iraq on Highway 80 during the Gulf War and which the US decimated during their retreat – could have been spared in light of their complete retreat.

Why? Because that retreat fulfilled the US’s stated war aims that Iraqi forces leave Kuwait. Maybe elite Iraqi forces might have been worth attacking, but not forces that US intelligence acknowledged were poorly trained and looking to desert their posts.

WHAT DOES any of this have to do with the three pictures from the beginning – the Gaza Beach incident, the rocket attack on an Israeli preschool and Black Friday?

The IDF has said that it had the right to target the four Palestinian minors because it had intelligence that they were Hamas naval commandos and believed they were. The mixture of blood and sand that this caused was horrifying, but in real time, as opposed to retrospectively, it says the decision was legal.

The Post’s exposure to the full internal file brought out new fascinating revelations about the hotly debated intelligence and how the decision to strike was made.

Although the Post is prevented by the censor from revealing the exact nature of the classified intelligence since aspects of the file were not properly blacked out, the Post can confirm that the intelligence was of a strong and specific quality in the spectrum of what “intelligence” can provide. “Weaker” intelligence might involve a pattern of past movements by a potential combatant-target and “stronger” intelligence might involve intercepting different kinds of actual communications from a combatant-target about where they intend to go on a specific day – not just about the past.

The IDF has noted that this event occurred not long after Hamas naval commandos had pulled off a surprise attack against an IDF position at Zikim Beach. But the IDF repelled that attack with no losses. Also, it has not disputed that it could not tell in real time, even with its available continuous visual coverage, whether they were commandos or children – a point hammered home as highly problematic by the human-rights organization Adalah.

In the internal file, “Maj. Y,” who led the training of alleged IDF drone operators, made a striking confirmation. He said that even he could not have identified whether the four were commandos or children due to the beach’s unique layout and lack of houses and other structures to use for height comparison.

Moreover, instead of claiming that there was an imminent attack expected, the IDF has said that the moment provided a chance to eliminate potential attackers at a known point who might later be hard to track.

This all then goes to the central question of how war-time decisions are made currently by the IDF and in many Western armies. Former IDF intelligence chief of analysis Brig.-Gen. (ret.) Itai Brun highlighted in a recent book that targeting and intelligence have shifted to often focusing on eliminating a high quantity of Hamas targets, even if the quality is low.

Beer’s approach would appear to say that something significant is missing from the process and should change.

To achieve Israel’s goal of either stopping Hamas’s rocket fire or eliminating its 31 attack tunnels, Beer’s theory would suggest that four Hamas naval commandos, who presented no immediate threat, did not need to be targeted, while also suggesting the IDF could target Hamas’s senior commanders “off-battlefield” if that may contribute a cease-fire.

And if the IDF publicly and justifiably defined destroying any Hamas naval commando as a central goal of its operation, then possibly even those commandos could still be targeted while they were just meeting simply because of their status as naval commandos.

But more broadly, in Beer’s approach, the IDF and other Western armies would get both a freer hand and a more limited hand in targeting.

They would be freer from knee-jerk blame for civilian collateral damage when striking a senior adversaries’ commanders. At the same time, they would need to restrict targeting adversaries’ combatants more in cases where the connection to achieving the overall strategic goals is more tenuous.

HOW WOULD this work with targeting rockets being stored for later attacks on Israeli preschools, but which were not being used in the moment? Or targeting possible low-level Hamas operatives in civilian buildings based on estimates of where the Hamas soldiers might be fleeing a battle? And what about where civilians might be killed by indirect effects of the strike’s explosions, such as being caught in unexpectedly collapsing structures nearby?

Questions like these go to the essence of the controversy of what occurred on Black Friday.

Two hundred structures were destroyed and there were well over 1,400 major strikes by the IDF, which killed only 42 Hamas operatives.

By any measurement, Beer’s reasoning would strongly appear to suggest that even if each specific attack that led to killing the 70 Palestinian civilians could be explained as legal, that something was desperately wrong with using that much firepower to wreak that much destruction while achieving so little in terms of broad military goals.

The current mentality of many Israeli critics is to jump on the volume of civilians killed as clear evidence of war crimes. In turn, the IDF easily dismisses this as populism because it does not analyze the individual attacks’ circumstances or the intent of those involved. Analyzing individual circumstances and intent is crucial in the laws of war and criminal law.

Beer would likely depart from these views as not bothering to try to understand the complex military situation on the ground nor the IDF’s broader military goals.

However, he would come back with what he would call a much stronger objection: that the volume of force used on the targets available did not align with the IDF’s publicly stated goals. How would destroying 200 above-ground buildings proportionally eliminate 31 underground attack tunnels even if some of the tunnels had connections to those buildings? How would killing only 42 Hamas fighters with 1,400 strikes give Hamas enough pain to bring about quiet?

The proof is in the pudding. Despite the 1,400 strikes, Hamas did not agree to a cease-fire for 26 more days – longer than some other entire Israeli-Arab wars.

Also, with a deeper military understanding, critics might be able to ask more legitimate questions about IDF intelligence.
Human-rights critics could ask: How well did the IDF warn civilians or make sure civilians were not in the area that it pounded? The IDF’s explanation is that most civilians had already evacuated during earlier stages of fighting and that its intelligence indicated there were much fewer civilians left than there actually were. This is true for the IDF’s attack on two buildings near the Balbisi Junction of the Rafah area in Gaza, where it had intelligence that Hamas had a command center but where, unexpectedly, there had been 16 civilians.

But the focus of human-rights critics fails to take into account military necessity. What targets needed to be attacked to achieve the mission?

IN CONTRAST, Beer would put the focus on the military necessity itself.

Is a Hamas command center able to be targeted in the abstract? For sure. Is striking every “Hamas command center” – if they are not housing top-level Hamas officials – important and really a contribution to the public goals of the operation? Beer would say it is hard or impossible too make sense, from a military perspective, of using the force used on Black Friday for so little a military gain.
Instead, he would advocate his new internationa
l law approach as a way to avoid another Black Friday.

And Beer advocates reducing the number of targets a military will attack even sometimes when the intelligence is solid.
From the IDF’s classified internal file, the Post now reveals the full scope of the high-ranking officers involved in the decision to strike Gaza Beach. The group included two brigadier-generals, three lieutenant-colonels, four majors, three captains, two lower-ranked soldiers and another six soldiers whose ranks were censored. Which means that this was not some fly-by-the-pants decision.

There was even an additional lieutenant-colonel from the general IDF military intelligence who joined the air force and naval intelligence teams advising on the operation by making a special visit to the field operations office. The lieutenant-colonel wanted to provide any additional necessary expertise on nuanced Palestinian issues.

The picture that arises from the full raw intelligence details reviewed by the Post shows that the intelligence teams even engaged in extra checks and harbored certain doubts relating to aspects of the targeting. But it also shows that in real time the high-ranking intelligence officers were ultimately convinced that the targeting was legal.

Again, Beer would say the problem was not an intelligence issue. Rather, it was by not realizing that it had been unnecessary, in a broader sense, to target four Hamas naval commandos in circumstances where they presented no danger and in an area whose military or civilian definition was debatable. Put simply, it was not smart or worth it.

Why does Beer see now as the right time to let international law evolve?

Even if making a change was difficult in the past, Beer says now there is a unique window to make the shift.
The combination of asymmetric warfare and exponential changes in technology, precision targeting and intelligence gathering make the timing ideal for a change.

AND SO we return to the pictures of Gaza Beach, the rocketed preschool and Black Friday.
In most of the world’s view, pictures of killed Palestinians on a Gaza beach will always eclipse pictures of rocketed preschools where Israeli children escaped harm. The world will never be able to make sense of Black Friday even if Israel provides the voluminous details it has about each individual attack.

Beer is hoping that Israel, its allies and its fair-minded critics will look deeper into a way to handle situations that may not make for as many one-sided condemnations of Israel as critics want and may restrain some Israeli military action, but will ultimately bridge the divide between the sides and lead to fewer civilian deaths.

After US National Security Adviser John Bolton’s recent speech dismissing the ICC, Israel could just hope that the problem will go away. But the ICC outlasted Bolton under the Bush administration and it could again.

Confronting its critics could mean the IDF would need to change war-making decisions, how it uses its intelligence and how it probes itself, but it might also save Israel from a damaging showdown with the International Criminal Court.

Is Israel’s military honeymoon with Russia in Syria over?

Jerusalem also considered sending Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman to visit Moscow to stop the diplomatic crisis from spiraling even further.

Jerusalem also considered sending Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman to visit Moscow to stop the diplomatic crisis from spiraling even further.

For the first time in decades, the operational freedom of the Israel Air Force may truly be at risk – not because of terrorist groups or countries bent on Israel’s destruction, but because of Russia – and intense efforts have been put into motion on all sides to prevent that from occurring.

The downing of the Russian Ilyushin Il-20 plane by a Syrian air-defense missile during Israeli air strikes against Iranian targets has led to one of the lowest points in the relationship between Jerusalem and Moscow in years.

The deaths of 15 Russian servicemen is a major embarrassment for Moscow, which has positioned itself as the main superpower in the region and has placed the blame of the downing of the plane last week squarely on Israel, accusing it of using the Il-20 as cover to carry out the strikes on targets in Syria.

Israel, meanwhile, has placed the blame for the incident on the Syrian regime, which used a Russian-made antiaircraft battery to bring down the plane during a strike by Israeli F-16 fighter jets on a Syrian military facility near the coastal city of Latakia on September 17.

Following the incident, Israel sent an IDF delegation to Moscow headed by IAF commander Maj.-Gen. Amikam Norkin to present the Russians with all of the facts regarding the incident, including intelligence gathered prior to the attack, a recording of the hotline call between Tel Aviv and the Khmeimim Air Base before the Israeli operation, and the findings of the IDF’s own investigation into the accident.

Russian officials reportedly rebuffed an Israeli attempt to dispatch a high-level government delegation to Moscow led by national security adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat along with the IAF delegation led by Norkin.

According to reports, Jerusalem also considered sending Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman to visit Moscow to stop the diplomatic crisis from spiraling even further.

But Russia, which has blamed the Israeli military and not the government, preferred instead to meet only with Norkin, to hear his team’s explanation for the deadly incident.

While it is indisputable that Syrian forces are the ones that shot down the Russian plane using a Russian-made missile defense system, nevertheless, despite the Israeli delegation’s visit to Moscow and telephone calls between Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia is ignoring the findings of the IAF’s investigation.

The question is why: to save face for an operational blunder, to which Russia, which helps manage Syria’s air defense network, bears some responsibility? Or because Moscow has decided that the downing provides a long-sought-after pretext to void its agreement with Israel, which up until now has allowed the IAF to attack targets in Syria with relative impunity?

The answer is likely both. As many analysts have suggested, the downing of the Ilyushin Il20 has revealed fundamental problems with Russian air defenses in Syria, particularly the robustness of its IFF (identification friend or foe) electronic signals carried by its aircraft.

The fact that it didn’t work to save one of its own spy planes is a profound embarrassment for its military, especially since the Russian officers who operate the air defenses alongside Syrian troops failed to properly supervise the Syrians who pressed the launch button for the intensive antiaircraft fire that ended up taking down the Russian plane.

Accusing Israel of using the Russian plane as shield from the missiles is likely nothing more than a shield against the failure of its troops deployed in Syria.

Equally vexing has been the pounding Russia’s allies in Syria have taken in recent months at the hands of the IAF. With Israel’s recent admission that it had struck Syria over 200 times since 2017, Moscow needs to show some resolve, to demonstrate its commitment to its primary strategic partners in the region, which remain Damascus and Tehran.

Russia, which views Iran as a key player in resolving the crisis in Syria, has repeatedly emphasized the importance of the role that the Islamic Republic plays in the war-torn country.

Israel rarely comments on foreign reports of military activity in Syria and has remained silent on hundreds of other strikes since the outbreak of the country’s civil war, which Russia joined in September 2015.

Some of the strikes attributed to Israel even occurred in areas where the Russians have deployed their advanced S-300 and S-400 missile defense batteries. But thanks to a deconfliction mechanism in place, no Israeli jets were ever at risk.

According to the IDF, the strikes, which mainly targeted advanced weapons systems and infrastructure belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, were aimed at preventing Iranian entrenchment in Syria.

Following the downing of the Russian plane, Moscow announced it would supply Syria with the advanced S-300 missile defense system and impose electronic countermeasures over Syria’s coastline that would suppress satellite navigation, onboard radar systems and the communications of warplanes attacking targets in Syrian territory.

Emboldened by Moscow’s announcement, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said Wednesday that “Israel, which got used to carrying out many attacks under different pretexts, would have to recalculate and reconsider before attacking again.”

But while some think the supplying of S-300 systems to the Syrians may jeopardize Israeli missions over Syria, according to foreign reports Israeli pilots have already trained to defeat the system.

NATO member Greece, for example, has operated the S-300 since the late 1990s, and Israeli aircraft have trained in its airspace as well as in Cyprus, undoubtedly giving it an opportunity to learn its tracking system in real time.

“The S-300 delivery to Syria is overinflated,” wrote Amos Yadlin, head of the Institute for National Security Studies and former head of Military Intelligence, on his Twitter account on Tuesday. The “S-300 doesn’t change the strategic balance. No air defense system is impregnable or indestructible. Israel has F-35s which were designed with exactly such systems in mind.”

“If S-300 batteries are operated by Russians – that’s not new, with Russian S-400 operating in Syria for years, never launching against Israel or US aircraft. If Syrian crews operate them, Israel will know how to hit it. Russian air defense systems’ reputation will take a hit,” he added.

Netanyahu, too, warned Tuesday, before flying to New York to address the UN General Assembly, that Israel will continue to act against Iranian entrenchment in the region, even with Moscow supplying the system to the Syrians.

“In the past three years, Israel has been very successful in preventing the Iranian military from setting up bases in Syria and attempting to supply lethal weapons to Hezbollah. We did this with maximum and successful security coordination with the Russian military,” said Netanyahu.

“We will continue to act to prevent the Iranian military buildup in Syria,” he continued. “We will do what is necessary to defend Israel’s security.”•

End Time Headlines – Netanyahu’s speech wasn’t about Iran’s nuclear capability, but credibility

End Time Headlines - Netanyahu’s speech wasn’t about Iran’s nuclear capability, but credibility

The overall message slashing at Iran’s credibility was quite serious.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech on Thursday about Iran at the UN is not likely to create any sudden changes in the nuclear standoff any more than US President Donald Trump’s earlier speech.

Netanyahu also did not actually go after Iran in any serious way for increasing its nuclear capabilities.

So his speech was really another very public opportunity to peel away at the Islamic Republic’s credibility on the nuclear issue.

For example, his sole more technical reference was to Iran racing to conceal and spread out a supply of 15 kilograms of “radioactive material” – presumably enriched uranium.

In and of itself, this allegation does not actually mean very much.

Iran once had and gave away at least 11,000 kilograms of uranium and is allowed to continue to possess 300 kilograms of uranium under the 2015 nuclear deal.

The allegation might have been stronger if the prime minister had said that the 15 kilograms were highly enriched to the 20% or higher level which is not permitted under the deal.

So this part was likely a bit less serious and more to score some public relations points with viewers who got to hear the words “radioactive material.”

But the overall message slashing at Iran’s credibility was quite serious.

On April 30, Netanyahu gave a press conference to the world about a secret nuclear archive that Tehran was concealing from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and which the Mossad had appropriated in a daring operation for the ages.

Netanyahu said on Thursday that the IAEA had not performed any follow-up. Whether it has or not, it has not publicized that it has.
There was a lot of debate after the April 30 Netanyahu speech about whether he had revealed anything new.

What was clearly knew was catching Iran concealing information from the IAEA. What would disturb many observers following the nuclear standoff would be that, almost five months later, the IAEA has taken no real public action to clarify or explain the concealment allegations.

This was why Netanyahu revealed a second and new hidden site.

He will probably be criticized by some in the Mossad and the intelligence community about revealing what Israeli intelligence knows, as this can risk sources being cut off and found.

But he wanted to maintain and escalate the pressure on the IAEA to do its job.

As the EU touts its special economic vehicle for trying to help companies circumvent US anti-Iran sanctions so that they can continue to do business with the Islamic Republic, it maintains that its basis for aggressively defending Iran is that it has kept the 2015 deal.

This argument becomes harder and harder to make as Israel continues to publicly out hidden sites that the IAEA has not and is not inspecting.

Netanyahu is also messaging to Iran that the Mossad and surveillance can find Tehran’s secret nuclear moves anytime and anywhere even if the IAEA is not aggressively inspecting beyond the sites it knows about.

At some point, EU support for the deal may start to become less sturdy. At that point, even if Iran is keeping aspects of the deal, Netanyahu’s continuing barrage of bombshell disclosures of concealment could be the principled basis to walk away.

Prophecy News – Tony Blair – We need a second Brexit vote so that we don’t betray Britain’s future

Prophecy News - Tony Blair - We need a second Brexit vote so that we don’t betray Britain’s future

The case for the People’s Vote is now overwhelming. The real betrayal of the country would be refusing it.

There have been two years of frankly fruitless negotiations. We are not agreed with Europe or among ourselves. There are at least three different versions of what the 2016 Brexit mandate means. The Chequers proposal is the least popular version on offer, polling miserably. Yet this is what our Government is threatening to stampede through Parliament or else plunge us into the abyss of a “no deal Brexit .”

Our knowledge of what Brexit entails from the single market and customs union to the Irish border is vastly enlarged. Facts have replaced claims. There has been no recession. But the value of our currency has fallen around 10-15 per cent — a prediction by the international markets of decline in our future wealth. Investment confidence in the UK is negative, the motor industry alone down by 40 per cent. Prices are up. The financial sector is moving jobs. And, no, we will not be seeing a £350 million weekly boost to the NHS. Instead, we are spending billions preparing for Brexit plus paying a £40 billion bill to Europe.

At a minimum, this thing has turned out to be much more complicated than anyone thought in June 2016.

In these circumstances it is natural common sense to ask: in the light of all we know now, is the will of the British people still for Brexit or to remain part of Europe?

This solution is the only route to salvation. For the country, if Britain votes again for Brexit, that is the conclusion of the matter. Then we set about making a new future for the country.

By contrast, the Chequers proposal will not end anything. The Brexiteers have made it clear that they will carry on the fight after March 2019 to secure a harder Brexit. My side will use the halfway house of Chequers as a stepping stone back into Europe.

For the Conservative Party, the People’s Vote is a way of ridding themselves of the Europe question which has bedevilled them and on which they’re irredeemably divided. Ironically, separate it out in a new referendum and they’re completely united in fighting today’s Labour Party.

As for Labour, its members are massively in favour of a People’s Vote. The drama around the Salzburg summit has obscured why we are where we are in the Brexit debacle.

At the heart of Brexit is a myth: that we don’t control our own laws. The reality is we do. We have created the NHS and could abolish it. Have tuition fees or scrap them. Put taxes up or down. Spend more or spend less. Shut down all immigration from outside Europe or not. Declare war or make peace. Be tough on crime or be softer.

We had a Labour government in the Seventies when Britain was part of Europe, nationalising, taxing heavily and giving trade unions power. We had a Thatcher government in the Eighties which privatised, hammered unions and cut tax. Today we could have a Conservative Government under Jacob Rees-Mogg or a Labour one under Jeremy Corbyn — and let us agree that their consequences would be very different.

The laws where we have chosen to be constrained are those arising from the single market, a unique trading construct where Europe does not merely abolish tariffs — a conventional trade agreement — but has created a unified regulatory regime, with standards and specifications the same between London and Paris as they are between London and Newcastle. This allows a car manufacturer in Britain to make and assemble parts using plants all over Europe and sell the car in one big market of 450 million people, not one of 65 million.

“If we lose access to the single market and go to a Canada-style free trade agreement we will pay a heavy price”

Because those laws sometimes give rise to disputes and 28 different countries are involved, they’re settled by the European Court.

For more than three decades we have been trading in this market. A huge network of interrelated commerce has grown up around it.

What Britain is seeking to do with Brexit is what no other modern developed nation has ever tried: to de-liberalise its trade by exiting its main trading agreement, the single market, only to re-liberalise it by other means.

The problem with Brexit is Brexit. At its core is this dilemma which the Government has struggled with from the beginning and never resolved, not because they’re incompetent — though some of the negotiating has been that — but because there is no resolution.

If we lose access to the single market and go to a Canada-style free trade agreement we will pay a heavy price. And there will be a hard border in Northern Ireland. Theresa May’s criticism of Boris Johnson’s position is right.

On the other hand, if we don’t pull out of the single market, we will remain bound by its rules, the rationale for Brexit disappears and so the Johnson criticism of May is also right.

The dilemma — “what’s the price vs what’s the point” — is the reason for the breakdown in the negotiations and the absence of consensus in the country. Neither is palatable. The issue is: if that’s the choice, do the people prefer to leave or stay in the EU?

The idea that there will be riots in the street if we ask them is fatuous. The opposition to such a vote is not fear of defying the people but, 30 months the wiser as to what Brexit really means, fear of what they might say.

End Time Prophecy News – Russia says it will send Syria powerful antiaircraft missiles

End Time Prophecy News - Russia says it will send Syria powerful antiaircraft missiles

Russia said Monday it would equip Syria with sophisticated air defense systems, a move that could worsen a rift with Israel by limiting its ability to bomb across its northern border.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Moscow would send Russia’s powerful S-300 ground-to-air missile systems to Syria, a longtime ally, in the next two weeks. Israel, which has repeatedly bombed Iranian targets in Syria, has long opposed such deliveries, and Russia up to now has refrained from supplying the weapons.

But the downing last week of a Russian reconnaissance plane with 15 service members aboard changed the dynamic. The plane was shot down by a Syrian missile, but Russia faulted Israel for the crash because an Israeli fighter jet allegedly had used the Russian plane as a screen against Syria’s air defenses.

Israel, by contrast, said that its air force had not violated any agreements with Russia and that Israeli jets had already returned to Israeli airspace when the missiles were launched. The crash was one of the deadliest incidents for regular Russian service members in the Syrian war.

“Today, the situation has changed, for no fault of ours,” Shoigu said in a televised statement Monday announcing the S-300 deliveries.

Shoigu said Russia also will jam military aircraft communications in the airspace next to Syria over the Mediterranean Sea while upgrading Syria’s air defense command systems.

End Time Prophecy News – The Future of Credit-Card ID Verification

End Time Prophecy News - The Future of Credit-Card ID Verification

As companies change how they verify identities, Europe offers a glimpse of what’s to come

Credit-card companies, banks and vendors are changing how they verify consumers’ identities. Passwords and PINs could become less important. Biometric analysis could become the norm.

The proving ground for the latest in payment technology is Europe, where a new law could encourage greater use of biometrics in a bid to reduce burgeoning payment fraud.

Starting September 2019 in the European Union, a large portion of online payments greater than €30 (currently about $35) will require multifactor authentication. Consumers will need to use two of three things to verify transactions: something they know, like a password; something they have, like a digital device, perhaps a USB token, that identifies them; or something they are: biometric data.

Proofs based on physical characteristics, like fingerprints and faces, are slowly becoming more common. This legislation will likely cause them to surge.

Most consumers using biometrics will likely do so on their phones, many of which already have technology that payment-service providers will use to verify payments—such as Apple Inc.’s Touch ID fingerprint sensors or Face ID facial-recognition software on its iPhones.

Making the payment process frictionless could determine which providers prosper—and which languish.

“We’re helping the industry move toward biometrics as a preferred method,” says Mark Nelsen, senior vice president at Visa Inc. “Customers are getting more comfortable with those solutions, and they’re our preferred method, too.”

Another company hoping to profit from the change is Veridium, a Boston-based biometrics firm.

“We’ve built our company around trying not to change the way you interact with technology too radically,” says Chief Executive James Stickland. “You could plug in Touch ID or Face ID, and that’s great because people are used to it.”

Veridium also provides an authentication technology it calls 4 Fingers TouchlessID that turns smartphones, even older models, into fingerprint scanners.

Ease of use will be paramount to companies in the payment-services and biometrics sector. Vendors and payment-services providers “have to meet requirements on the fraud side and provide a good user experience,” says Frances Zelazny, chief marketing officer at BioCatch, a firm based in Boston. “If they can’t manage their fraud, they’ll go away,” Ms. Zelazny says. “And if they can’t manage their user experience, they’ll go away” because consumers won’t use them.

Behind the scenes, BioCatch and other biometrics companies are working on technology called behavioral biometrics. That technology allows vendors and payment providers to analyze users’ actions and habits to determine whether a transaction should be considered valid. Criteria include whether the transaction is in line with a user’s usual spending pattern, made from a familiar location, or aimed at someone who often receives payments from that user.

“With touch-screen devices, we have a lot of sensors, so we’re able to infer how you swipe, the pressure you put on the screen, how much of your finger you’d leave on the button as you pause before the next one,” says Dr. Neil Costigan, CEO of BehavioSec, a behavioral biometrics firm. “Not so much what you’re doing as how you’re doing it.”

EU guidelines say that payments of €30 to €500 will be exempt from multifactor authentication if they are judged to be sufficiently safe—a determination that behavioral biometrics can help to make. Those technologies can also be used, in certain circumstances, instead of physical biometrics as one of the three proofs required to authenticate a transaction. Smoother, more secure verification processes minimize false alarms when cards are declined, thus reducing abandoned purchases.

Still, biometric solutions face barriers to adoption. Veridium’s Mr. Stickland says: “People’s education is probably the most immature element of utilization. The end user has to be more aware.”

“What concerns us is consumer awareness,” says Visa’s Mr. Nelsen. “We know the consumer has no idea really what this regulation means.” And, he adds, “with hundreds of millions of customers making online payments, and millions of merchants receiving them, older technologies won’t disappear overnight.”

Meanwhile, even if customers do take to biometrics, a full rollout of the technology may take some time.

“Part of the challenge has been lethargy. We’ve seen that with chip and PIN in the U.S.,” says Mr. Stickland, referring to the card industry’s ponderous transition away from requiring signature-based payments.

As a result, he says, the move away from plastic cards—and toward mobile-based authentication—is “probably a 10-year journey, not a two-year journey. But I think plastic will be gone altogether in 10 years.”

Passwords, too, will be around for quite some time. Mr. Nelsen says that biometrics systems already in place still use passwords as backups for authentication.

“The only way to get rid of passwords is to have a number of biometrics, so if one fails, you can use another one,” he says. “We’ll start to see more biometrics used to verify identity…. You’ll walk up to the counter, use face recognition to initiate the payment, and that’s it.”

Trump’s second speech to the international body only briefly touched on Middle East peace. But what he said was telling.

NEW YORK — Months after the UN General Assembly voted to rebuke US President Donald Trump for recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, on Tuesday he warned the world to brace for more policy changes that would rile the status quo of a conflict that has been frozen for decades.

Trump’s second speech to the international body only briefly touched on Middle East peace. But what he said was telling and reflective of recent comments from members of his peace team who are beginning to preview a plan for Israeli-Palestinian peace that will buck conventional norms long governing the process.

The president was channeling Jared Kushner, his son-in-law leading the peace effort, who in an interview with The New York Times earlier this month, said the administration was intentionally slaughtering sacred cows of the conflict in order to disrupt the discussion.

“There were too many false realities that were created – that people worship – that I think needed to be changed,” Kushner said on the anniversary of the signing of the Oslo Accords.

Similarly, the president in his speech said the aim of peace “is advanced, not harmed, by acknowledging the obvious facts.

“America’s policy of principled realism means we will not be held hostage to old dogmas, discredited ideologies and so-called experts who have been proven wrong over the years, time and time again,” Trump told the gathering.

This is the administration’s main explanation and defense of Trump’s actions on Jerusalem, as well as its decision to defund the UN agency on Palestinian refugees which – according to the peace team – perpetuates a narrative on the status of refugees unhelpful to the pursuit of peace.

The Palestinians see in these statements tea leaves of a plan that will attempt to redefine the terms of their cause, in which they seek sovereignty and independence from Israel in a two-state solution – a term the administration has yet to use. They are already campaigning against the US proposals, which Trump aides note they have not seen.

While Trump’s comments on the peace plan were brief, they at the very least signal policy growth from a year ago, when he addressed the UN General Assembly for the first time. In that speech, he made no mention of the peace process.

WASHINGTON – A mega-pastor of one of the largest “evangelical” churches in the U.S. is attacking the Old Testament again, this time insisting Jesus rendered the Ten Commandments null and void, issuing one new law “as a replacement for everything.”

Andy Stanley, pastor of the 34,000-member North Point Community Church in suburban Atlanta, who famously advised his flock to “unhitch” from the Old Testament in a sermon last spring, has now penned an article promoting his new book saying laws such as “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” and “Thou shalt not kill” are no longer relevant to Christians living in the New Covenant era.

“You’ve heard the story before: A group of Christians puts up a monument of the Ten Commandments in a public space or on government property,” begins Stanley in his article titled, “Why do Christians want to post the Ten Commandments and not the Sermon on the Mount?” “Someone says it violates the separation of church and state. The Christians say taking it down would violate their freedom of speech. There’s some back and forth in court and both sides say some not-so-great things about the other. Rinse and repeat. But how many times have you seen Christians trying to post the text of the sermon on the mount in a public place? Or the all-encompassing commandment Jesus gave us? ‘A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another — John 13:34 The one commandment! Doesn’t have the same ring to it, does it? But if we’re going to create a monument to stand as a testament to our faith, shouldn’t it at least be a monument of something that actually applies to us?”

Stanley goes on to write that the Ten Commandments are from the Old Covenant, which he says “played a significant role in God’s creation of the nation of Israel. It gave them moral guidelines and helped separate this new nation from their neighbors. This was part of the formal agreement (or covenant) God created with his people, but Jesus’ death and resurrection signaled the end of that covenant and all the rules and regulations associated with it. Jesus didn’t issue his new command as an additional commandment to the existing list of commands. He didn’t say, ‘Here’s the 614th law.’ Jesus issued his new commandment as a replacement for everything in the existing list. Including the big ten. Just as his new covenant replaced the old covenant, Jesus’ new commandment replaced all the old commandments.”

The implications of that unequivocal statement have been staggering to other Christians who point out how the words of Jesus and the apostles seem to contradict them flatly and reject such a conclusion.

In Matthew 5:17-19, Jesus says: “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

gospel-book-196“Andy Stanley is not preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus and the apostles preached,” says Joseph Farah, author of “The Gospel in Every Book of the Old Testament,” which documents what he characterizes as “the miraculous, supernatural and perfect continuity of the Good News of redemption throughout both the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures.” “Nor is Stanley preaching the Gospel of personal salvation that Jesus and the apostles preached. Instead, he is preaching replacement theology – completely discarding about three-quarters of the Bible and misinterpreting what’s left.”

Farah calls Stanley’s reductionist gospel “Chick-fil-A theology,” an exegesis based on modern American Christian cultural traditions rather than the Bible.

“Participants in the new covenant (that’s Christians) are not required to obey any of the commandments found in the first part of their Bibles,” writes Stanley. “Participants in the new covenant are expected to obey the single command Jesus issued as part of his new covenant: as I have loved you, so you must love one another. The new covenant replaced the old one. The covenant established by Jesus retired the covenant God established with the nation of Israel. This is why most Christians don’t mind a little bacon with their eggs. It’s why you can’t get either at Chick-fil-A on Sunday. (If we were still taking our marching orders from the old covenant, they would be closed on Saturday.)”

Writing a response to Stanley’s new assault on the Hebrew Scriptures, Grayson Gilbert, a graduate student pursuing a masters of divinity degree at Moody Bible Institute, disputes that Jesus only left His disciples with one new law to follow. In fact, Jesus issued hundreds of commandments in the gospel accounts, while affirming the Ten Commandments and the law and the prophets in Matthew 22:37-40: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

“Interestingly enough, Stanley bypasses these verses in his discussions, though I have a feeling he would explain them away and disregard that they are drawn from Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18, which are legal texts in and of themselves given to Israel,” writes Gilbert. “Furthermore, it is plainly stated in the text itself, these are a summation of the law and prophets.”

Stanley blames the Old Testament , not misguided Christianity, for centuries of horrors and abuse of those of different beliefs: “The justifications Christians have used since the fourth century to mistreat people find their roots in old covenant practices and values. Imagine trying to leverage the Sermon on the Mount to start an inquisition, launch a crusade, or incite a pogrom against Jews. But reach back into the old covenant, and there’s plenty to work with.”

“This not only fundamentally misunderstands the nature of God, but essentially claims He has instituted a means of oppression and ill-begotten values in the Old Testament,” writes Grayson. “In other words, the Old Testament is only the foundation of violence, oppression, and so forth, rather than revealing the character and standards of God. Let me be quite frank, Andy is about as close as one can get to saying the God of the Old Testament is different than the New Testament without explicitly stating, ‘The God of the Old Testament is different than the God of the New Testament.’”

It’s not the first time Stanley has been accused of the heresy of Marcion, who took just such a position.

Stanley concludes: “While Jesus was foreshadowed in the old covenant, he did not come to extend it. He came to fulfill it, put a bow on it, and establish something entirely new. The “new” Jesus unleashed made the faith of first-century believers formidable. Their apologetic was irrefutable. Their courage, unquestionable. And the results were remarkable. Dear Christian reader: Why? Why? Why would we even be tempted to reach back beyond the cross to borrow from a covenant that was temporary and inferior to the covenant established for us at Calvary?”

“Jesus is One and the Same as the God of the Old Testament,” says Farah. “He is described in John 1 as the Creator, the maker of all things that were made and in as the One and Only Mediator between God and man in 1 Timothy 2:5. It’s not just that Jesus was foreshadowed in the Old Testament, as Stanley says. He was there at the beginning. He tells the Pharisees: ‘Before Abraham was, I am.’ In other words, Jesus referred to Himself as the great ‘I am,’ one in the same as the Father. There is no separation, no disagreement, between the Father and the Son. They are One.”

Stanley’s new book is called, “Irresistible: Reclaiming the New that Jesus Unleashed for the World.” It is currently ranked at Amazon as one of the most popular books in the “church leadership” category. Farah’s new book, prior to release, as one of the most popular in “Old Testament” category.”

“Maybe they are dueling books for a time such as this,” says Farah. “This is a teaching that must be countered by believers.”

Farah has challenged Stanley’s assertions on the irrelevance and inapplicability of the Old Testament in a series of commentaries:

End Time Prophecy News – An End-of-Days Guide to the Palestinians and Gaza

An End-of-Days Guide to the Palestinians and Gaza

As Israel’s southern border is threatened by rockets, mortars and incendiary kites, End-of-Days experts weigh in on the prospective roles that Palestinians in Gaza play in the Messianic era.
Palestinians: Spiritual Roots in Israel’s Biblical Enemy

Rabbi Matityahu Glazerson, a Torah codes expert, believes that the modern day Palestinians have their spiritual roots in the Biblical Philistines.

“We can see this in the name they choose for themselves and we can also see this in their attraction for Gaza,” Rabbi Glazerson told Breaking Israel News.

He emphasized that not only was Gaza a military stronghold but it was also a major center for the Philistines’ idolatry and temple. “Their hatred for Israel is so great that it is clearly an ancient conflict and not just one from the last few decades. Their recent kite attacks, burning the fields in Israel, are precisely a desire of revenge for Samson burning the Philistine fields in a similar manner.”

He lit the torches and turned [the foxes] loose among the standing grain of the Philistines, setting fire to stacked grain, standing grain, vineyards, [and] olive trees.Judges 15:5

In a recent video on the subject, Rabbi Glazerson used a computer program that searches for equidistant letter sequences in the Bible to find the word “Palestinian” in the Torah. He found it in the book of Deuteronomy, which he explained is the section of the Bible that corresponds to the current era. The word “Palestinian” intersected with a verse that described God giving the land of Israel to the Jews.

Hashem your God will bless you in the land that Hashem your God is giving you as a hereditary portion Deuteronomy 15:4

“The Zohar (the seminal source for Jewish mysticism) states that this conflict that began in the Bible will continue until the Moshiach (Messiah)” Rabbi Glazerson said. “This is a spiritual battle which will never be solved by politics. It has to be fought on spiritual terms by learning Torah and keeping the Sabbath.”

Palestinians: A Nation That is no Nation

Rabb Levi Sudri, an award-winning Bible expert who is well-versed in esoteric sources, believes the appearance of the Palestinians is a final attempt to fix a nation that was flawed from its Biblical beginnings.

“Reincarnations are an attempt to fix things and this era, the time preceding the Messiah, is the final chance to fix problems that have their sources in the Bible. What we are seeing in the Middle East is the entire world focused on the final fixing of the Philistines. We first saw this in the Bible in Ham, the son of Noah, who was cursed for gazing on his father’s nakedness.

He said, “Cursed be Canaan; The lowest of slaves Shall he be to his brothers.” Genesis 9:25

“Abraham and Isaac tried to fix Ham by making a covenant with Abimelech the King of the Philistines, Ham’s descendants. But the language of this Biblical agreement is important today”, Rabbi Sudri emphasized.

And Abimelech said, “Here, my land is before you; settle wherever you please.” Genesis 20:15

“This covenant was broken by the Philistines in the days of Joshua, and again in the days of Saul,” Rabbi Sudri said. “It is precisely this agreement that is being broken again today.”

Rabbi Sudri noted that despite Israel’s clear military superiority, the Palestinians are succeeding in creating a challenge Israel cannot defeat.

“How can it be that Israel, with such a strong military, cannot cope with the Palestinians?,” the rabbi asked. “If there is a clear enemy, even a strong enemy, we can fight them. We cannot defeat them because the fight is on a spiritual level, the angel of one nation against the angel of another nation. Every nation has an angel but the Zohar explains that the Philistines do not have an angel.”

Rabbi Sudri referred to the Philistines as a “nation that is not a nation.”

“Every nation has a patriarch but the Philistines did not have a patriarch,” Rabbi Sudri said. “The word ‘Philistine’ is derived from the Hebrew word meaning ‘wanderers’ or ‘foreigner.’ With a real nation, you can make war or peace. Since they are not a nation, we cannot do either, neither war nor peace, with the Palestinians.”

According to Rabbi Sudri, this confrontation with the “nation that is not a nation” has a corresponding negative effect on the Jewish Nation.

“Israel is the most ancient nation, with the clearest claim to being a nation. But by entering into relations with the Palestinians, by agreeing to that definition of what is a nation, we shed doubt on our identity as a nation which is explicitly outlined in the Bible, a stronger claim to nationhood than any other nation in existence. By calling the Palestinians a nation, we have brought into doubt our claims to nationhood and our claims to our land, a claim that is clearly seen in the Bible, in archaeology and in every history book in existence.”

The Battle for Prayer

Rabbi Yosef Berger, the rabbi of King David’s Tomb on Mount Zion, believes the spiritual roots of the Palestinians goes back to Ishmael, the brother of Isaac.

“As such, his fate is to be in conflict always,” Rabbi Berger said, quoting the blessing given to Ishmael by an angel.

He shall be a wild ass of a man; His hand against everyone, And everyone’s hand against him; He shall dwell alongside of all his kinsmen.” Genesis 16:12

“His warring nature will continue until the very last moment before the Messiah,” Rabbi Berger said. “It will be the spark that brings the Messiah.”

“But the name ‘Ishmael’ means ‘God will hear,” Rabbi Berger pointed out. “By the merit of Ishmael, God heard Hagar praying in the desert. The real battle is over who God will listen to. That is why the Palestinians are concentrating on the Temple Mount, and specifically on prayer. They want to be the only nation that God listens to, and they think they can do that by preventing the Jews from praying on the Temple Mount.”

“Prayer has much more power than people realize, especially prayer in our times just before Messiah, and especially on the Temple Mount,” Rabbi Berger said. “We see this in the fact that since only Muslims are allowed to pray there, Islam is getting stronger in the world. It isn’t Islam that is getting stronger, it is the angel of Ishmael. The Temple Mount is where the final battle between Ishmael and Israel is going to be, and it is going to be a battle of prayer, a battle of the angel of Ishmael against the angel of Israel.”

‘Run for the Ship’

Rabbi Pinchas Winston, a prolific end-of-days author, believes the Palestinians are a prophesied wake-up call to motivate the Nation of Israel to focus on Messiah. To illustrate his point, he related a midrash (homiletic teaching) from the Talmud (Tractate Baba Batra 73b). According to the Talmud, Rabbah Bar Hana was traveling on a ship and went ashore to cook some food. The island turned out to be an enormous fish covered in sand. Feeling the heat of the fire, the fish turned over, sending Rabbah Bar Hana scrambling for his ship, which fortunately was ready to sail.

Rabbi Winston cited Rabbi Yaakov Lorberbaum, the rabbi of Lissa Poland in the 1800’s, known as Rabbeinu Yaakov.

“Rabbeinu Yaakov taught that this peculiar story in the Talmud is actually an allegory of what will happen in the days before Messiah,” Rabbi Winston said. “He explained the Talmud as teaching that the Jews will return to our land but we will end up ruling over another nation. The other nation will appear weak and small but they will actually turn everything upside down.”

“If the ‘boat is ready’, if the Jews are ready for Messiah, everything will be fine and we will enter into the Messiah,” Rabbi Winston explained. “If the Jews are not ready, we will ‘drown from the problems this small nation will cause us.”

Rabbi Winston sees this allegory as a perfect description of the Palestinian Intifada.

“The Intifada started in 1987, precisely 40 years after Israel became a nation,” Rabbi Winston explained. “40 represents is a complete period of gestation. A woman is pregnant for 40 sabbaths.”

“After Israel became a state, we were given a period of 40 years to show what was really conceived when Israel first became a state,” Rabbi Winston said. “We weren’t ready to ‘run for the boat’, to bring the Messiah. Since we hadn’t prepared for the Messiah, the Intifada was sent to wake us up, to push us to do what we need to bring the Messiah. In this case, the wake-up call came from a small nation that succeeded in overturning the entire nation of Israel, making us ‘run for the ship’.”

End Time Prophecy News – Fulfilling Zechariah 8:23 With Torah Books for Non-Jews

Fulfilling Zechariah 8-23 With Torah Books for Non-Jews

“Observe them faithfully, for that will be proof of your wisdom and discernment to other peoples, who on hearing of all these laws will say, ‘Surely, that great nation is a wise and discerning people.’” Deuteronomy 4:6 (The Israel Bible™)

“There is currently a surge in the publication of books that convey Torah teachings to the non-Jewish world, and such literature is being published at an ever-increasing rate, for one good reason.

“There is clearly a massive appetite and yearning among the Nations to understand what the Jews are really about, and to hear from them and understand what the Torah has to say about God’s unfolding plan for the geula – the imminent redemption of the entire world.

“This remarkable phenomenon of the awakening of so many holy souls among the Nations to get closer to God and discover His Torah, is both mysterious and wonderful, and strongly suggests that these stirrings are directed from above and are signs of the arrival of the geula.” So says Nachum Shaw of Promised Land Publishers.

Shaw spoke to Breaking Israel News about his unique publishing house. “To help reveal and spread the wisdom of the Torah and its uplifting and enlightening message to the widest possible readership, both Jewish and non-Jewish, I formed a new publishing house called Promised Land. Promised Land just published five books by Rabbi Avraham Greenbaum, the world-renowned author of over 25 books on Jewish spiritual teachings.”

Shaw told Breaking Israel News that one of Rabbi Greenbaum’s new books, The House on the Mountain, contains, “Jewish spiritual teachings that are destined to be taught to all the inhabitants of the world. It explains all aspects of Judaism and the central role that the soon to be built Third Temple will have in bringing balance back to nature and our environment, and peace, happiness, spiritual fulfilment and goodness to the whole world, with the coming of Moshiach (Messiah).”

There’s also a fulfillment of a prophecy directed to the Jewish people in this trend of publishing Torah books expressly for non-Jewish readers. “If we look at Exodus 19:6, we are told that the Children of Israel will be to God, “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.”

but you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the children of Yisrael.” Exodus 19:6

“As the Jews’ role is to be priests to the Nations, it follows that spreading Torah literature to the Nations greatly helps the Jewish people to accomplish this role,” Shaw argued.

Connecting these two ideas – the publication of books containing Torah concepts intended for people from the Nations and Redemption – is echoed in the comments of Rabbi Lazer Brody. Rabbi Brody translated The Universal Garden of Emuna, written by Rabbi Shalom Arush. Emuna is the spiritual principle of unshakeable belief that God runs the world. The Universal Garden of Emuna was adapted from a similar book originally written for a Jewish audience.

Speaking to Breaking Israel News, Rabbi Brody invoked a prophetic sentence from the Jewish prayer Aleinu. “We say thrice daily in Aleinu, ‘And all of living flesh shall call Your Name.’ The closer we get to Moshiach, the more humanity will realize that emuna is the only path to peace and happiness. That’s what the world is hungry for.” The Universal Garden of Emuna was written to bring this redemptive message to non-Jews.

Yisrael Rosenberg, author of a forthcoming commentary on the Book of Isaiah which he wrote for Christian readers, meets many Christians who are interested in books like his. Rosenberg told Breaking Israel News, “My personal experience is that many Christians are hungry for knowledge about the Jewish roots of their faith. I wrote my upcoming book, ISAIAH: End Times and Messiah in Judaism in response to the interest that many Christians, both clergy and laypeople, have shown for these issues. On one level, I seek to meet the growing demand for the Jewish ‘take’ on faith-related topics.”

Rosenberg echoed Rabbi Brody’s emphasis on emuna when he continued, “On a deeper level, I am convinced that the simple, practical approach to emuna (faith in God) as presented by the 19th-century Hasidic teacher Rabbi Nachman of Breslov could serve as a source of universal teachings that might help non-Jews grow closer to Hashem (God).”

Both Rosenberg and Rabbi Tuly Weisz, director of Israel365 and the publisher of The Israel Bible and Breaking Israel News addressed themselves to what’s behind this trend.

Rosenberg credits the Internet with changing the relationship between Christians and traditional Torah teaching. “One of the key drivers is the Internet, which allows curious people to dig in and find basic information about Judaism, in a way that has never been available before. All of humanity is becoming more and more connected with every passing day,” he said.

Rabbi Weisz shared a longer historical perspective. “The big picture goes back 500 years to the Protestant Reformation and even a little bit before, to the invention of the printing press. That was a major transition, where all of a sudden, Christians started reading the Bible. Everyone had a Bible in their home.

“Christians are realizing that the Bible is a work that’s all about the Jewish people in the Land of Israel and it’s taken a long time for this all to crystalize. It’s clarifying and crystalizing in a significant way that there’s a plan for the Jewish people that’s spelled out in the Bible.

“The Bible describes the history of Israel in the past and the present-day situation of the Jewish people in the exile, as well as the future promise of the restoration and the ingathering of the exiles. It was always some kind of mythical, mystical idea that is obviously coming to fruition in front of our eyes, in front of their eyes.

“These are the big factors leading to this growing interest in the Jewish perspective, in the Hebrew Roots of Christianity and in the Torah,” he argued.

Rabbi Weisz continued, “To me what’s so exciting is the passage in Isaiah 2.

And the many peoples shall go and say: “Come, Let us go up to the Mount of Hashem, To the House of the God of Yaakov; That He may instruct us in His ways, And that we may walk in His paths.” For instruction shall come forth from Tzion, The word of Hashem from Yerushalayim. Isaiah 2:3

“That’s like our foundational scripture for Yeshiva for the Nations and The Israel Bible – this idea that in the end of days, the non-Jews are going to say, ‘Teach us the Torah, for from Zion shall come forth the Torah.’

“It’s so exciting to be a part of that. It’s so exciting to see that actually happen. The ingathering of the exiles we’ve seen. The rebirth of the Land we’ve seen. The last promise is this idea that the non-Jews are going to say, “Teach us the Torah.” And that’s particularly what drives me, what drives Yeshiva for the Nations and what drives The Israel Bible.”

Shaw ties it all together. “If we look at Isaiah, we see the prophet talking about the (future) Temple in Jerusalem.

I will bring them to My sacred mount And let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices Shall be welcome on My mizbayach; For My House shall be called A house of prayer for all peoples.” Isaiah 56:7

How will this be possible unless the Nations are first introduced to and know what is in God’s Torah? The wide distribution of Torah literature can help to facilitate this knowledge,” he clarified.

Praying With Power – Power of Prayer in Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul Prayer Power

Praying with Power Jesus Christ
So many people believe in God and yet, they feel powerless in this world. So, they pray to Him for power. That seems to make sense, right? But what if instead of praying for
power, He wants us to pray with power. One of the most exciting things that I know about God – and I’m grinning ear-to- ear with joy as I think about this – is that He delights in empowering
‘little people’,common, ordinary, garden-variety people like you and me. Some of us might imagine that the ones whom God empowers are the big names, or the big preachers, or the big leaders. I’m sureHe does do that; at least, with some of them. But it’s the‘little people’in the pews, whom He also delights in empowering.

Praying With Power

Now, that’s important because so often the little people feel as though God’s power is only for the ‘super Christians’ (whatever we think those people might look like). But actually,
God’s power is for anyone and everyone who puts their trust in Jesus Christ, His Son. The reason I know this, is because of one of the many letters written by the early Christian
leader Paul, he wrote one particular letter to the ‘little people’ in the pews of a church in a place called Ephesus in Greece. That’s right, he wrote this letter to the whole Church; not just to the
elders or to the preacher. And in this letter, Paul tells these people in the pews in Ephesus, about how he prays for them. This is what he wrote: I keep asking the God of our Lord, Jesus
Christ, the glorious Father, that He may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints and His incomparably great power for us who believe.
That power is like the working of His mighty strength which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him up from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the age to come. And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the Church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.
(Ephesians 1:17-23)
I love the way that Paul starts off. He’s such a great guy – so direct and so ‘in our faces’. His prayer is that the ‘little people’ in the pews in Ephesus – and the rest of us, who believein Jesus – would get to know God better. He doesn’t pray here that we would sin less or that we would feel better about ourselves. Neither does he pray that God would use us more powerfully or that we would become mighty prayer warriors or ‘big’ people; or that we would be used by God to perform miracles … or anything else, for that matter. No, he doesn’t pray any of those things.Instead, Paul wants us to know God better. All of us in the pews. That includes you and me. He tells the good folk in Ephesus that he has been pleading with God that He would put His Spirit in them, so they would know Him better. Obviously, Paul knows that they need to know God better. But there’s another purpose behind this prayer. He also wants them to open up their eyes. In fact, he wants
God to open their eyes, and ours as well. I can hear him shouting, “Wake up!” (As only Paul could). “Wake up! Open your eyes! Have a look at this!” I pray also that the eyes of your heart might be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He’s called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.
(Ephesians 1:18-19)
There are three things Paul aches for his beloved friends in Ephesus to see with their eyes opened by God:
1. The certain hope of the future they have in Christ.
2. The riches of their inheritance in Christ;and … wait for it …
3. The incomparably great power for us who believe.
Now, I’m definitely no great scholar of Greek, the ancient language in which Paul originally wrote. Like most people, I have to rely on the linguistic work done by translators and scholars  so that I can read God’s Word in English. To understand the full force of what Paul is saying here, I rely on a great teacher and colleague of mine, Dr Barry Chant. Back when I was studying under him as a student at Bible College, Barry said something along these lines: “If I were to transliterate the Greek words that Paul uses here to describe the nature of the power that he wants us to wake up to, it would go something like this – ‘incomparably great power’ would sound more like ‘hyper ballistic, metaphonic, dynamic’ power.
Do you get the point?
Paul isn’t talking about some teensy weensy little bit of power. He’s not even talking about a moderate amount of power. He’s not even talking about a lot of power. He’s saying, “I’m praying for you, that you would get to know your God better.” Then you would know – finally wake up to the fact – that the power He has ready and waiting for you is ‘hyperballistic, megathonic dynamic’ power. And indeed, Paul is also letting us know that this power is for you and me. Because he goes on to explain in Ephesians 1:20 that it’s the very  same power that raised Jesus from the dead. That same power is the power that God has for you, if you believe in Him. Now, it’s kind of a contradiction, given that we access that power by bowing our lives down in complete submission to God through Jesus Christ. We humble ourselves at the foot of the cross and we cry out, “God, it’s not about me; it’s about You.”
Through doing that, it’s really easy to develop what I call a ‘worm theology’. Psalm 22:6 says:But I am a worm and not a human, scorned by others and despised by people.God’s people know that, in the scheme of things, we’re not at the top of everything. God is. There is an enormous gulf between the pure heights reserved for God and the low, low, low  state of affairs of sinful, imperfect humans.Recognising that fact should lead us to admitwhat is put simply in Psalm 22:6 – we are a‘ w o r m’,a bottom-feeder trying to survive in the dirt and grime of our existence. But the amazing point about realising this ‘worm theology’, when it comes to our low estate,is that God wants to restore us back into His image! That’s what he wants to do in our lives. He wants to adopt us back into His family, to give us hope, riches and power.
Not so we can misuse and abuse those things as we used to do for our own selfish gain. No! Not for that, but so that we can  be His children, His agents of peace on planet Earth, in this warring world. And we’re restored back into His image, we can be His light to shine out His glory into this dark and lost world. As we start to live out that sort of life – the sorts of life He always intended
for us to live – it truly does become all about Him. But at the same time, He fills us with His joy and a peace and a wonder through this laying down of our lives, which words simply cannot
Do you believe in Jesus? Are you one of these weak sinners on your knees before God? If so, then those three things that Paul prayed for in Ephesians Chapter 1 are for you. The hope, the
riches and the power are for you and me, here and now. So if you do believe in Jesus, it’s time for you to stop praying for power. It’s time to stop asking God for power because His word clearly tells us that this incomparably great power – this hyperballistic, megathonic dynamic power – is already ours. It’s time to take the little bit of faith that we’ve got in our hearts and start praying with power, here and now. Let’s give this a moment to sink in. What God wants us to do is let the Holy Spirit etch God’s Word onto our hearts. Instead of praying for power, it’s time to start praying with power, the hyperballistic, megathonic dynamic power that God has already given us.
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the power that God has already given you.
I keep asking the God of our Lord, Jesus
Christ, the glorious Father, that He may
give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation,
so that you may know Him better. I pray
also that the eyes of your heart would be
enlightened in order that you may know the
hope to which He has called you, the riches of
His glorious inheritance in the saints and His
incomparably great power for us who believe.
That power is like the working of His mighty
strength which He exerted in Christ when He
raised Him up from the dead and seated Him
at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far
above all rule and authority and power and
dominion and every title that can be given,
not only in the present age but also in the
age to come. And God placed all things under
His feet and appointed Him to be head over
everything for the Church, which is His body,
the fullness of Him who fills everything in
every way.

Prayers – The Lord’s Prayer – Jesus Teaching on Prayer – The High Priestly Prayer – Jesus Prays for All Believers

The Lord’s Prayer

This, then, is how you should pray:“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

—Matthew 6:9-13

When you pray, say: “Father hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.”
—Luke 11:2-4

Jesus Teaching on Prayer

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

—Matthew 6:5-8

Prayer of Praise
At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.”

—Matthew 11:25-26

Prayers During the Raising of Lazarus

So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing
here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

—John 11:41-42

Prayer in Gethsemane

“Abba, Father,” Jesus said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

—Mark 14:36

Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

—Matthew 26:39, 42

The High Priestly Prayer

After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.”

—John 17:1-5

Jesus Prays for His Disciples

“I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you.”

—John 17:6-11

“Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.”

—John 17:11-12

“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.”

—John 17:13-19

Jesus Prays for All Believers

“My prayer is not for them alone. I prayalso for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

—John 17:20-21

“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”

—John 17:22-23

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.”

—John 17:24

“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and
will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

—John 17:25-26

Prayers from the Cross
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they aredoing.”

—Luke 23:34

About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?”(which means “My God, my God, why have you for saken me?”).

—Matthew 27:46

Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.
—Luke 23:46

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Dear Friends,

Not only does God give us a voice, but He invites us to use our voices with Him anytime, anywhere. Through prayer we are given access to approach the One who holds all things together—a breathtaking invitation, indeed.God eagerly awaits every request, heart cry, desire, and expression of gratitude. No syllable, consonant, or vowel offered up in prayer escapes God’s notice. Yet despite the opportunity to bend the ear of God, many of us struggle with how we should pray, what we should say, and what a vibrant prayer life really looks and feels like. When asked how to pray, Jesus provided a specific prayer as a model known as The Lord’s Prayer. But as I’ve plied the Gospels to better under

stand prayer, I’ve been taken back by the prayer life of Christ. The prayers of Jesus are marked by simplicity, brevity, and profundity. Only a handful of Jesus’ prayers are recorded, and Jesus’ teachings on prayer are limited, making every word all the more worth studying and savoring. Whether your prayer life is vibrant and active or struggling and inactive,
I’d like to challenge you to prayerfully consider and reflect on the following passages that reveal the prayers of Jesus. I’m still in the beginning stages of understanding prayer, plying its depths,
and laying hold of God. But my hope and prayer is that these passages will challenge and inspire you to go deeper in your prayer life than you’ve ever been before.

Derek Prince – Letting the Holy Spirit Lead August 2002

Derek Prince Prayers and Proclamations - Holy Spirit Guide 2003

In my many years of ministry I have often taught about the Holy Spirit. It has been my experience that a better understanding of the Holy Spirit can make us more effective for God’s Kingdom. It is the Holy Spirit who continues the ministry of Jesus in our lives. One key ministry of the Holy Spirit is to be our Guide. He has been sent by God the Father to lead us through life. In John 16:13 Jesus says:

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth . . .
In Romans 8:14, Paul explains practically how we can live as God’s children: it is by being led by the Holy Spirit.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

The tense used here is the continuing present tense: As many as are regularly led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. The word son here speaks of maturity. It is not the word for an infant, but for a grown son. In order to become God’s children we have to be born again of the Spirit of God. Jesus makes this very clear in John chapter 3. But once we have been born again, in order to grow up and become mature and complete, we need to be regularly led by the Holy Spirit. The sad truth is that many Christians who have been born again never really go on to be led by the Holy Spirit. Consequently, they never achieve maturity. They never become the kind of complete Christians that God intends. That is why it is vitally important to deal with this theme of being led by the Holy Spirit.

Achieving Righteousness The Bible deals with two methods by which to achieve righteousness with God: law and grace—and they are mutually exclusive. If you seek to achieve righteousness by law, you cannot achieve it by grace. And if you seek to achieve righteousness by grace, then you cannot do it by keeping the law. It is extremely important to emphasize this, because it has been my observation that many Christians try to mix law and grace. They seek to keep themselves in good standing with God partly by law and partly by grace. The truth of the matter is that they do not really understand either grace or law. Law is a set of rules that you must keep. If you keep all the rules—all the time—you achieve righteousness. Grace, on the other hand, is something that we cannot earn. Grace is received from God only by one way, as described in Ephesians 2:8:

Do we live as sons of God by keeping a set of rules? No. We live as sons of God by being led by the Holy Spirit. That is the only way we can live as God’s mature children.
For by grace you have been saved through faith…
Personally, I believe that only God Himself could conceive the method of achieving righteousness by faith. I believe that natural man, left to himself, would never have conceived such a way of achieving righteousness. To the best of my knowledge, every other major religion requires people to achieve righteousness by doing something. Different religions hold to different requirements, but, in essence, all of them think along this line: “I’ll be righteous if I do these things and don’t do those things.” This means that the Christian faith, if we understand it rightly, is absolutely unique. There is no other religion that even tries to offer righteousness on the basis of grace received through faith alone. But, when you embrace God’s grace, He empowers you to live free from the control of sin. In Romans 6:14, Paul is speaking to people who have received the grace of God:
For sin shall not have dominion over you; for you are not under law but under grace.

Notice that these two are mutually exclusive. If you are under law, you are not under grace. If you are under grace, you are not under law. You cannot be under both at the same time. I notice also Paul says that sin will not have dominion over you because you are not under the law. The implication is that if you are under the law, sin will have dominion over you. If we seek to achieve righteousness by keeping the law, we will never be able to escape sin’s grasp. Let us look once more at Romans 8:14:
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Do we live as sons of God by keeping a set of rules? No. We live as sons of God by being led by the Holy Spirit. That is the only way we can live as God’s mature children. Now let us look at Galatians 5:18:

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Once again, the message is clear. You become a son of God by being led by the Spirit. And if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. For many professing Christians, however, following a set of rules is like a crutch. They limp around supporting themselves on the crutch. God says, “Throw the crutch away and trust Me!” I have discovered that it frightens people to trust God’s grace completely. We all want to hang on to a little set of rules that we keep. That is our crutch. But it does not work! We must become completely dependent on the Holy Spirit. God’s way to righteousness and holiness is not through struggling, but through yielding—yielding to the Holy Spirit. Come to the end of your efforts and say, “Holy Spirit, take over. I cannot handle this situation— but You can!” It does not mean you do not need willpower. It means you need to use your willpower in a different way. You have to use your willpower to not do it by yourself, but to trust the Holy Spirit. By nature, I am an independent, strong-minded person. Any time I have a problem, my natural instinct is to work out the solution for myself. It has taken me years to come to the place where I do not do that. Instead, I say, “Lord, what is Your solution?” Often, God’s solution is different from anything I myself would ever have thought of. The Christian life is not a life of struggle, it is a life of yielding—to the Holy Spirit within us. In Romans chapter 7, Paul illustrates this by an example from the marriage relationship. The fruit of your life will not be determined by the amount of effort you make, but by the person to whom you are married. If you are married to your fleshly nature, you will bring forth the works of the flesh. But if—through the Holy Spirit—you are united with the resurrected Christ, through that union you will bring forth the fruit of the Spirit.
Just Stay Connected In John 15:1 Jesus compares our relationship with Him to a vine and its branches:
I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

The vinedresser is the one who does the pruning. In verses 4 and 5, Jesus goes on to say to His disciples:
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

The branches of a vine do not bear grapes with a lot of effort. They do not make resolutions and say: “Now I’m going to bring forth grapes!” They bear grapes simply by being united to the trunk—the stock of the vine. The same life that is in the trunk flows through the branches, and the life in the branches brings forth the appropriate kind of fruit. Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you will remain related to Me—joined to Me—you’ll bring forth much fruit.” Jesus goes on to talk about pruning. When a vinedresser prunes a vine, he is ruthless. He cuts the branches all the way back to the stem. You would think that vine is never going to bear fruit again. But the next year, it is more fruitful than before. Some of our most painful struggles may be the result of bearing fruit. Right now, the Father may be pruning you. But do not give up! Do not say, “How could this happen to me?” Simply yield! Surrender to the vinedresser. All three Persons of the Godhead are involved in this process of bringing forth fruit. The Father is the vinedresser. Jesus is the vine. And the Holy Spirit is the life that flows through the vine and into the branches. The Holy Spirit is the one who actually produces the fruit. It is not the fruit of our best efforts. It is not the fruit of religion. It is the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

A Map or a Guide? Let me share with you a little parable to make this vivid. I am sharing this out of my own experience. I know what it is to struggle to please God with my own efforts. I have tried at times to be more “religious.” But I have felt so frustrated. I have not known what to do! But I have learned that this is just part of the process that makes our walk with Jesus come alive. This parable concerns a map and a guide: Suppose you are in a certain place and you need to find the way to a distant destination over country that you have never traveled. God gives you two options. You can have a map, or you can have a personal guide. You are strong. You are clever. You are self-reliant. God says to you, “What do you want, the map or the guide?” You respond, “I’m good at reading maps. I’ll take the map.” Knowing the right direction to take, you set off down the road. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and you feel happy. You say to yourself, “This is easy! This is a piece of cake!” About three days later, you are in the middle of a jungle. It is midnight. It is raining. Hard! Furthermore, you are on the edge of a precipice. You do not know whether you are facing north, south, east or west. But a gentle voice says, “Can I help guide you?” And you reply, “Oh, I need you! I need you!” The Guide says, “Give me your hand and I’ll get you out of this.” Alittle while later, you and your Guide are out on the road again and walking along side by side. Then it occurs to you, “I was pretty silly to get so panicky just about being in that jungle. I could have made it on my own.” So you turn around to explain this to your Guide, and the Guide is not there any longer! You shrug your shoulders and say, “Well, I can make it on my own,” and you set off again. About two days later, you are in the middle of a bog and you sink a little deeper with every step you take. You do not know what to do! You think to yourself, “I can’t ask for help again. Last time I got it and I didn’t do the right thing.” At this moment, you discover to your astonishment that the Guide is right beside you once more. He says, “Let me help you,” and you start off together again. At this point, you remember the map that is still in your pocket. So you take it out and offer it to the Guide saying, “Maybe you’d like that.” But the Guide says, “Thanks, I know the way, I don’t need the map.” Then he says, “As a matter of fact, I made the map.” The map, of course, is the law. It is perfect. Every detail is exactly right. Every single item in the
geography is correctly marked. It is up to you to decide, “I won’t take the map. I’ll trust my Guide.” Who is the personal Guide? The Holy Spirit, of course! How often does this kind of thing need to happen? How many times will we go back to trusting our own wisdom and our own cleverness and in this way snub the Holy Spirit?

The Bride Who Trusted Her Guide Genesis 24 is a vivid account of how Abraham obtained a bride for his son Isaac. He sent his servant back to the land of Mesopotamia to find a young woman of his own family line, which—according to the culture of that time—was an essential requirement. This story is a parable acted out in history. Abraham is a type of God the Father. Isaac is a type of Jesus Christ the Son. The chosen bride (whose name was Rebekah) is a type of the church. Then there is one other main character who remains nameless: the servant. The servant is a type of the Holy Spirit. Genesis 24 contains the Holy Spirit’s self-portrait. It is characteristic that he does not even name Himself. The Holy Spirit never draws attention to Himself, but always works to bring glory to the Father and the Son. The servant sets off, taking with him ten camels laden with various gifts, having in mind that he is going to choose a bride. In the Middle East, whenever you make a significant choice and build a relationship, you always give a gift. If your gift is received, you as a person are received. If your gift is rejected, then you are rejected. This is an absolutely critical part in establishing any relationship. Having lived in that part of the world, I can tell you that camels carry an immense amount of baggage— and the servant is making the trip with no less than ten camels! He arrives at the place where they water the flocks and he prays: “I’m going to ask one of these young women to draw water for me. Let the one who is the chosen young woman say, ‘I’ll draw water for you and for your camels as well.’” (Bear in mind that a camel can drink forty gallons of water. So, this chosen young woman would be volunteering to draw up to four hundred gallons of water.) So here comes Rebekah, and the servant says, “Give me something to drink.” Rebekah replies, “Certainly! And I’ll draw for your camels as well.” Then the servant says to himself, “This is the girl!” Let me add that Rebekah is a pattern of faith and works. It takes a lot of work to draw water for ten camels. Then the servant pulls out a beautiful jewel and places it on Rebekah’s forehead. The moment she accepts the jewel, it marks her as the appointed bride. What would have happened if Rebekah had refused the jewel? She would never have become the bride! What can we say of a church that refuses the gifts of the Holy Spirit? It lacks the distinctive marks of the bride! Rebekah never had a map. She had never been where the guide was taking her. She had never seen either the man she was to marry or his father. But she had a guide who knew the way! He also knew both the father and the son. He could supply her with all the information she needed. That is how it is with you and me. We cannot make it with a map, but we must have a Guide. In this life we will probably never see the Father or the Son or the place that is our destination. But if we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, He will show us the way. He will also be our source of information concerning the Father and the Son. Take some time today to thank God for His Holy Spirit! Adapted from “The Holy Spirit as Guide” (4330)

Derek Prince – Prayers and Proclamations – Introduction – Proclaim Praise Prayer Thanksgiving

Derek Prince Prayers and Proclamations

God had commissioned Moses to deliver Israel out of their slavery in Egypt, but Moses felt he was not equipped for the task. “What is that in your hand?” God asked. “A rod,” Moses replied. He saw no special significance in it. God proceeded to demonstrate to him the miraculous potential in that seemingly insignificant rod—and Moses actually fled in terror from his own rod! But when God showed him how to use the rod as an instrument of divine authority, it was all he needed to fulfill his task. With that rod Moses defeated the magicians of Egypt—stripped Pharaoh of his power— humiliated Egypt’s gods—and brought Israel out from slavery to freedom. You, too, have a rod in your hand: your Bible. If you can understand its unlimited potential, you can use your Bible as Moses used his rod: to extend God’s authority into any situation where Satan opposes the people and

the purposes of God. Over the past three years Ruth and I have been fighting a continuing war against Satan, who has opposed us and our ministry in many different ways. His primary goal has been to kill Ruth. In this war the Holy Spirit has taught us how to take the Bible as our rod and extend God’s authority through it into every area where Satan has been opposing us. The Holy Spirit has led us systematically to Scripture after Scripture, and has shown us how to direct them to each area where Satan has been opposing us. The strategy which the Holy Spirit has taught us is: PROCLAIM! THANK! PRAISE! First, PROCLAIM the appropriate Scripture with bold, unwavering confidence. To make this fully effective, we often personalize the passage we quote, making any grammatical changes needed to apply it personally to ourselves. For instance, where the Bible says, “you,” we change

it to “I” or “we.” The second step is to accept the Scripture we have proclaimed as true, even before we see its actual outworking in any situation. The natural result of this is to THANK God for it. This leads logically to the third step: loud, jubilant PRAISE. In Song of Solomon 6:4, Solomon depicts Christ’s Bride, the Church, as “awesome as an army with banners.” Under these three banners —PROCLAMATION, PRAISE, THANKSGIVING—we have been able to drive out the hosts of darkness and enter into the freedom which God has appointed for us as His believing people. The scriptural proclamations in this booklet have been tested and tried in our own experience. The passages we have memorized have been taken from the particular version that the Holy Spirit has made “alive” to us. Unless otherwise indicated, this is The New King James. Where we have felt it appropriate to make significant changes in the wording, this has been indicated by an asterisk (*).

The Scriptures are grouped under nine main headings: Righteousness and Holiness Health and Strength Guidance, Protection, Preservation God’s Intervention in Human Affairs Testing and Trial Spiritual Conflict Perfect Redemption Mental and Emotional Stability Serving God Finally, at the end, there are three comprehensive proclamations which are “special favorites” of ours. To receive the maximum benefit from these Scriptures, here are three simple steps to follow: 1. Ask the Holy Spirit to make “alive” to you the special Scriptures which are appropriate to your particular situation. 2. Read these Scriptures through many times—out loud, if possible.

3. Gradually proceed from reading aloud to systematic memorization. This is a natural step. The Hebrew expression for “to learn by heart” is “to learn by mouth.” As you read the words aloud, they gradually become imprinted on your memory. After a while, you will probably find other Scriptures, which the Holy Spirit makes “alive” for you in a special way. The blank pages at the end of each section are for those personal prayers and proclamations. Ruth and I pray that these Scriptures will do as much for you as they have done for us. They have made the difference between defeat and victory!

Prophecy in News - Kushner Says Punishing Palestinians Won’t Hurt Chance for Peace Deal

Three days after the Trump administration evicted the Palestine Liberation Organization from its offices in Washington, Jared Kushner defended the latest in a string of punitive actions against the Palestinians and insisted that none of them had diminished the chances of a peace accord between Israel and the Palestinians.

Speaking on Thursday, 25 years to the day after the Oslo peace accords were signed on the White House lawn not far from his West Wing office, Mr. Kushner said President Trump had actually improved the chances for peace by stripping away the “false realities” that surround Middle East peacemaking.

“There were too many false realities that were created — that people worship — that I think needed to be changed,” he said in an interview. “All we’re doing is dealing with things as we see them and not being scared out of doing the right thing. I think, as a result, you have a much higher chance of actually achieving a real peace.”

Mr. Kushner said he did not want to be too critical of the Oslo accords, which created the framework for peace negotiations over the last three decades. But he cast his own efforts as a radical break with the past, evincing little nostalgia for the historic images of Bill Clinton drawing together Yasir Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin in September 1993.

Prophecy in News – U.S. Air Force Seeks Largest Expansion Since Cold War

U.S. Air Force Seeks Largest Expansion Since Cold War

The increase reflects a shift in focus away from counterterrorism and toward possible conflict with China or Russia.

he U.S. Air Force has determined it will need a nearly 25 percent boost in combat squadrons in order to support a major war with another great power such as China or Russia, signaling the largest potential increase in air power for the United States since the end of the Cold War.

Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson said the service wants to grow to 386 operational squadrons by around 2025-2030, compared with the 312 it has today. The rise would support Defense Secretary James Mattis’s shift in focus from the fight against terrorism in the Middle East to potential conflicts with near-peer competitors.

Wilson laid out the new road map during a keynote address at the Air Force Association’s annual Air, Space & Cyber Conference in National Harbor, Maryland, on Monday. Foreign Policy obtained exclusive details about the makeup of the 74 additional combat squadrons.

Russia and China have spent the last several decades studying U.S. military strategy and investing in ways that would take away its advantage, according to Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein. The new force structure is designed to counter new defensive and offensive capabilities that Russia and China are developing, such as long-range aircraft and nuclear weapons, he said.

“This is about how do we stay out in front of them based on the best assessment that the Joint Staff and the intelligence [agencies have] put together on where we think our adversaries are headed,” Goldfein said.

Under the plan, the Air Force would add tens of thousands of airmen and a range of sophisticated aircraft and other capabilities that will likely cost U.S. taxpayers tens of billions of dollars over the next decade, if not more.

Officials declined to put a price tag on the increase but said it would include more bombers, refueling tankers, fighter jets, and drones, as well as airlift, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and special operations aircraft. In addition, the Air Force would boost the number of combat squadrons focused on space and cybersecurity. The overall increase could also include a new light attack fleet, which the Air Force believes provides a cheaper way to fight militants in the Middle East.

Increasing the number of squadrons by about 25 percent would require roughly 40,000 additional airmen, for a total force of about 717,000, Wilson said.

Todd Harrison, a budget expert with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, estimated that this increase in manpower would likely add $13 billion a year to operating costs. The Air Force currently spends about $53 billion per year on aircraft operations, training, and recruiting, he noted.

One source with knowledge of the discussions stressed that the Air Force may not be able to afford the full increase.

Prophecy in the News – Atlanta archbishop invites pro-LGBT priest James Martin to speak in archdiocese

pro-LGBT priest James Martin

A U.S. archbishop has invited Fr. James Martin, SJ — the most outspoken proponent of the normalization of homosexuality within the Catholic Church — to speak in his diocese.

“Archbishop Wilton Gregory of Atlanta has graciously invited me to his archdiocese to speak,” said the Jesuit priest in a tweet, “so I will be speaking at St. Thomas More Parish (the Jesuit parish) on Sat. Oct 20 and at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on the morning of Sun. Oct 21.”

“I will be speaking on the same topic as I did at the World Meeting of Families: ‘Showing Welcome and Respect in Our Parishes to LGBT People and their Families,’” noted Martin in a follow-up tweet.

Faithful Shepherds has listed Archbishop Gregory as not upholding Church teaching on homosexuality. News broke last month of Gregory’s appointment of a pro-gay priest who heads a gay-affirming parish to be diocesan spiritual director for victims of sexual abuse by clergy.

The parish of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the first Catholic church built in Atlanta, maintains a “Pride Outreach,” including running a booth at Atlanta’s gay pride week.

“The Shrine has always welcomed all of God’s children. During PRIDE week each year, we celebrate God’s diversity by maintaining a booth in the park,” the parish website states.

End Time Headlines – The Russia-Israel crisis

Russia-Israel crisis

End Time Headlines – The Russia-Israel crisis

End Time Headlines – The Russia-Israel crisis The Israeli air attack was indeed a sensitive, if necessary, operation, near the Russian air base in the area and on the eve of the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur.

On the night of September 18, in an unfortunate incident in the fog of war, Syrian air defense mistakenly downed a Russian military IL-20 spy plane with 15 servicemen aboard. The Assad regime had launched a barrage of anti-aircraft missiles targeting planes flying over Latakia. Russian media said the plane lost contact with radar near the Khmeimim Air Base near Latakia, and disappeared during “an attack by Israeli F-16s.” Russian media claimed to have “registered the launch of missiles from a French frigate.”

The Russian Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigo, slammed Israel on claiming that its “irresponsible actions” led to the downing of the Russian military aircraft as Israel only warned Russia one minute before launching the strikes. The Russian Defense Minister spoke on the phone with Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and told him that Moscow holds Israel wholly to blame for the shooting down of the Russian plane in the waters off Syria.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, seeking to cool tensions between the two countries, declared after several hours that Israel was not responsible. “It looks like a chain of tragic circumstances, because the Israeli plane didn’t shoot down our jet,” he said. At the same time, he said Russia will respond by “taking additional steps to protect our servicemen and assets in Syria.” “It will be the steps that everyone will notice,” he said without elaboration.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu quickly called Putin to express sorrow over the death of the plane’s crew, blamed the plane’s loss squarely on Syria, and offered to send Israel’s air force chief to Moscow to share information about the incident.

However, as expected after the hints in President Putin’s declaration, Russia decided to close areas near Cyprus to air, land and sea movement from Thursday until next Wednesday “for the sake of military operations.”

The Israeli air attack was indeed a sensitive, if necessary, operation, near the Russian air base in the area and on the eve of the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur.

It will probably provoke more retaliation from the Russian side, most possibly the imposition of no-fly zones for Israeli aircraft in the Damascus and Latakia areas. In the short term, it will muddle the already sensitive practical understandings between the two states.
There is a low probability that Russia will use also economic retaliatory measures against Israel, like it did in the case of a Russian fighter jet downed by the Turkish air force in 2015. Then Russia stopped the flow of Russian tourists to Turkey and the imports of goods from Turkey.

It is of interest to cite a remarkable article in published on September 19 by Pavel Felgenhauer in the daily Novaya Gazeta, which directly puts the blame on the Russian side, under the title “The Jews are to blame for everything! The Ministry of Defense is trying to disguise the self-defense.”

Google Translate rendered the Russian-language article as follows:

“On the night of September 18, the F-16 bombers of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) bombed targets north of the coastal Syrian city of Latakia, where, according to Israeli intelligence, there were Iranian weapons warehouses with products allegedly destined for the radical Lebanese Shi’ite movement Hezbollah. The main Russian air base Khmeimim is also located on the Mediterranean coast near Latakia, but to the south of the city.

“The air defense forces of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) of the Assad regime fired back at Israeli raiders and shot down with a long-range missile 5В28 of the S-200V air defense missile system (S-200V) the Russian reconnaissance aircraft IL-20 which came in for landing in Khmeimim, after carrying out reconnaissance of positions of insurgents in the neighboring province of Idlib. Russia accused Israel.”

“After the start of the Russian operation in Syria in 2015, a purposeful program was launched for the revival of the SAA, including its air force and air defense. Russian specialists restored equipment, local teachers were taught and retrained, gratuitous deliveries of components, spare parts and equipment from the presence in domestic arsenals were flown from the Russian Federation via the so-called “Syrian Express”. The SAA’s air force and air defense were saturated with Russian experts and advisers. For the duration of the operation in Syria, the ground and air echelons of the VKS and CAA operated together. They are practically integrated under the supremacy of the Russian military. Therefore, in Moscow, they found out almost immediately that the IL-20 was shot down by Syrian “friendly fire” and not by the Americans, the French, the IDF, or somebody else.

“The situation was extremely unpleasant: the Russian military adviser at the Syrian command post for some reason approved the launch of a long-range missile S-200 missile near our base Khmeimim, which has an official range of 250 km. and a real range of over 300 km. The command post of the connection in Khmeimim was also obliged to control the surrounding airspace. The CP knew about the scheduled flight of IL-20 and had to prohibit the launch of the S-200. But it seems that the Russian military has completely lost control of airspace and control of the air defense system in the area of its main base of the UHF Khmeimim, and as a result, in fact, they shot down their own IL-20.

“It was necessary to somehow explain such a catastrophe to President Vladimir Putin, and because it was the raid of the IDF that launched the “chain of circumstances” that led to the tragedy of the IL-20, the military leadership decided to bring everything to the Jews. It’s better than being responsible for your own sloppiness.”

This reminds of me a déjà vu situation of Russian military intervention in Syria, in the 1970s, which I analyzed in my May 2018 article “How Serious the Russian Threat to Israel in Syria? A Historical Perspective.” I argued there that, in historic perspective, the Soviet Union, and later Russia, have not been successful in providing the necessary strategic umbrella to their allied radical Arab regimes during their wars against Israel and the Russian weapons systems have suffered disgraceful defeats at the hands of the Israeli military.

A few months before the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War, Syrian teams were dispatched to the USSR to train in the use of surface-to-air SA-6 missiles to form the new air defense divisions. A CIA report on Syria stated that during the war in 1973, Soviet advisers supervised the operation of Syrian ground-to-air forces and were present at various headquarters. According to the testimony of an adviser to one of the bombardment squadrons (MiG MF 21) stationed at the Syrian air base in Damir, the consultants helped planning the first air strike.

However, it seems that the Syrian command did not like the Soviet intervention on the front and the advice given by the Russians.

According to Soviet sources, the Syrian command were not ready to listen to the advisers since they wanted to conduct the war according to their understanding and not from what they learned from them. The Soviet chief of staff, Gen. Victor Kulikov, was asked why the Soviet advisers do not correct the Syrians’ mistakes in the conduct of the war. “They do not listen to us… They pretend to be their own strategists,” he replied.

It is this author’s hope that the Israeli leaders will stand firm to the Russian challenge, as long as Russia does not act more firmly against the Iranian attempts to implant itself and its proxies on Syrian soil and build a platform for future, if not immediate, attacks against the Jewish State.

End Times Headlines – Rouhani -Iran will beat Trump, wont abandon missiles

End Times Headlines - Rouhani -Iran will beat Trump, wont abandon missiles

“The same will happen to Trump. America will suffer the same fate as Saddam Hussein.”

DUBAI – US President Donald Trump will fail in his confrontation with Iran, just like Iraq’s Saddam Hussein, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday, referring to the war between the two Middle Eastern powers and vowing that Tehran will not abandon its missiles.

Tensions have ramped up between Iran and the United States after Trump withdrew from a landmark multilateral nuclear deal in May and reimposed sanctions on the Islamic Republic last month.

As Rouhani spoke, Iran began displaying its naval power in the Gulf during annual parades in the capital Tehran and the port of Bandar Abbas on the Gulf marking the start of the country’s 1980-88 war with Iraq.

Iran has suggested in recent weeks that it could take military action in the Gulf to block other countries’ oil exports in retaliation for US sanctions intended to halt its sales of crude.

Washington maintains a fleet in the Gulf that protects oil shipping routes.

“The same will happen to Trump. America will suffer the same fate as Saddam Hussein,” Rouhani said in a speech carried live by state television.

“Iran will not abandon its defensive weapons … including its missiles that make America so angry,” Rouhani said.

In the latest American warning on Iran’s missile program, on Friday the US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley accused Iran of transferring ballistic missile technology to its proxies in Iraq.

“If there is one country that is the source of conflict and instability in the Middle East – one country that merits a quarterly debate in the Security Council – that country is not Israel. It’s Iran,” Haley said.

State media said about 600 vessels took part in the Gulf naval drill on Saturday, a day after Iran held aerial exercises in the waterway, vowing that a “pounding reply” awaited the country’s enemies.

Iran blames U.S. and its allies for terror in Iranian city The early morning attack is one of the bloodiest in decades.

ran blamed the US and its allies in the region, which includes Israel and Saudi Arabia, for an attack in Ahvaz on Saturday that killed at least 25 and wounded dozens. The attack targeted a military parade that was attended by members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Twelve members of the IRGC were killed.

The allegation will almost certainly ratchet up tensions with Iran’s regional rival Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies, who along with the United States have been working to isolate the Islamic Republic.

The four gunmen attacked the military parade in Ahvaz, in southwestern Iran, in an early morning attack that was one of the bloodiest in decades. The gunmen, disguised as local soldiers, sprayed participants with bullets and targeted a reviewing stand where commanders and senior regime leaders were standing. The parade had begun at around 9 a.m.

Videos by witnesses at the event showed the moment the shots were fired. Dozens ran, including many of the soldiers present who didn’t initially use their weapons to engage the attackers. By noon the government accused “takfiri elements” for the attack, a reference to Sunni Muslim terrorists.

“Their crime is in the continuation of plots hatched by the US-led governments in the region who aim to create insecurity in our dear country,” Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said, without mentioning the regional states he believed were to blame.

Khamenei ordered security forces to bring to justice the “criminals” behind one of the worst attacks ever against the IRGC, which answers to him.

Foreign Minister Javad Zarif tweeted, “Terrorists recruited, trained, armed and paid by foreign regime have attack Ahvaz. Children and journos [sic] among casualties.” He also said that Tehran held the US accountable for the attack and that “Iran will respond swiftly and decisively in defense of Iranian lives.”

The gunmen were trained by two Gulf Arab states and had ties to the United States and Israel, according to Brig.-Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi, a senior spokesman for Iran’s armed forces. “They are not from Daesh (Islamic State) or other groups fighting [Iran’s] Islamic system… but they are linked to America and [Israel’s intelligence agency the] Mossad,” he told state news agency IRNA.

There was no immediate Gulf Arab comment on his remarks.

Shekarchi said the attackers had hidden weapons in an area near the parade route several days in advance.
Women and children also died in the assault, state news IRNA agency reported.

“All four terrorists were quickly neutralized by security forces,” he told state television. “A four-year-old girl and a wheelchair-bound war veteran were among the dead.”

An Iranian ethnic Arab opposition movement called the Ahvaz National Resistance, which seeks a separate state in oil-rich Khuzestan province, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Islamic State militants also claimed responsibility. Neither group provided evidence. All four attackers were killed.

The assault comes a day after a group fighting against the regime in Ahvaz had sent congratulations to Saudi Arabia for its national day.

Ahwaz is the center of a province that has a large Arab minority and there are a number of groups that have opposed the Iranian regime from Ahvaz over the years. An Ahvaz activist was assassinated last year in the Netherlands, allegedly by the Iranian regime.

A spokesman for one of the groups who called into a Farsi language TV program said that his group had targeted the IRGC, not civilians.

The attack comes 10 days after the US said it would hold Iran accountable for attacks in Iraq after Iranian-backed militias targeted a US consulate in Basra, across the border from Ahvaz.

The bloodshed struck a blow to security in OPEC oil producer Iran, which has been relatively stable compared with neighboring Arab countries that have grappled with upheaval since the 2011 uprisings across the Middle East.

The IRGC, the most powerful and heavily armed military force in the country, has been the sword and shield of Shi’ite clerical rule in Iran since its 1979 Islamic Revolution. The Guards play a big role in Iran’s regional interests and have a vast stake worth billions of dollars in Iran’s economy.

Tensions between mainly Shi’ite Iran and mostly Sunni Saudi Arabia have risen in recent years, with the two countries supporting opposite sides in wars in Syria and Yemen and rival political parties in Iraq and Lebanon.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani ordered security forces to identify those responsible for the violence, the semi-official ISNA news agency said. The attack occurred the day before Rouhani heads to New York to address the annual UN General Assembly next week.

“Rouhani will use the terrorist attack to justify Iran’s presence in the Middle East… The attack will strengthen the IRGC’s position inside Iran and in the region,” Tehran-based political analyst Hamid Farahvashian said.

Iran will face pressure to respond to the high-profile attack on the Revolutionary Guards.

“The attacks are doubtlessly meant to tarnish the prestige of the IRGC, but I believe the terrorist incidents will strengthen the IRGC’s standing and even mobilize some public support,” said Ali Alfoneh, a senior fellow at the Gulf Arab States Institute in Washington.

Hardliners like the IRGC have gained standing at the expense of pragmatists in Iran’s multi-tiered leadership since US President Donald Trump decided in May to pull the United States out of the 2015 international nuclear deal with Tehran and reimpose sanctions in moves to isolate the Islamic Republic.

Kurdish militants killed 10 Revolutionary Guards in an attack on an IRGC post on the Iraqi border in July, where armed Kurdish opposition groups are active.

Last year, in the first deadly assault claimed by Islamic State in Tehran, 18 people were killed at the parliament and at the mausoleum of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic.
