TOP Prayer for Financial Help From God – Prayer for Financial Blessing – Blessing of Abraham

Strong PRAYER IN FINANCIAL CRISIS - Miracle Financial Breakthrough - Prayer for Financial Blessing and Favor

We’ve all been there. The moment where you cross your fingers and pray that the bills won’t bounce. Perhaps you’ve been faced with unemployment and you have no earthly idea how you’ll be able to make next month’s rent payment. Or maybe you’re working two jobs and still can’t seem to get ahead. Financial issues can be extremely stressful and effect so many different aspects of life – both physically and emotionally.

In order to gain better control over your finances, it may be wise to consult a financial advisor who has a better idea of how to manage funds and what type of options are accessible for your specific situation. While you may believe that you have it under control and perceive no other workable solutions, getting a second opinion on your financial situation can prove to make an extreme difference. Along with professional help, it’s important to maintain your sanity with spiritual assistance. You’ll discover a financial expert’s assistance coupled with prayer will provide you with the hope and motivation you will need to overcome just about anything.

The Bible provides Christians with a number of scriptures focused on money, finances and giving. Philippians 4:19 is one of my go-to scriptures to reference when I’m facing financial issues. The verse says, “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” It’s important, despite the frustrations tough finances brings forth, to know that the Lord is always by your side. He will never give you more than you can manage and will provide the necessities to live a prosperous life. First, place your faith in the Lord and he’ll do the rest.

“Dear Lord, help me to leave my financial worries in Your Hands. Guide me to peace so that I can hear your wisdom. Keep me mindful of my blessings no matter how much or little I may have. Grant me the patience and tolerance necessary to calm my spirit knowing that you have everything under control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Patience is a virtue that is required within so many elements of life – finances being one of those main elements. From time-to-time God’s children become so bogged down with the endless list of demands our life brings forward. The Lord understands your frustrations and sees firsthand how much work you’re putting in each day. Chin up friend – ask the Lord to grant you the necessary patience to get through this difficult financial period. While it may seem overwhelming, while you’re in the moment, remember that the Lord will always provide you with the resources you’ll need.

“O Lord, You placed the stars in the sky. You created a myriad of beautiful life. You gave us our breathe and water to drink.

You are a living Lord. You are my Savior, in whom I trust. Please rescue me from this financial crisis, Come redeem this situation. I ask for your almighty hand to come and cover me.

Give me wisdom and strength to stand strong through this storm. I ask for a miracle by your redeeming love. Please restore me, lead me to a safe place, a secure place, a place of financial balance. In you I trust. Amen.”

Jesus Christ, who is your Lord and Savior, understands better than anyone the spontaneity in life – and moreover, how those unexpected times can bring on financial burdens. If you’re going through a difficult time, ask the Lord for a miracle through prayer. A prayer for financial help from God can be a definite game changer and provide you with the resources that you need to get out of the hole. The world is filled with an insurmountable amount of solutions; however, identifying those answers can prove to be very challenging. Through prayer, ask the Lord to give you guidance coupled with the patience you’ll need to discover the financial solution you desperately need. In many cases, you’ll discover a solution that is seemingly been in front of you the entire time. In addition, this difficult financial time could also lead you to wisdom that you would have ordinarily been blind to.

Lastly, one of the strongest messages spiritual messages comes from Matthew.

These words redefine the true meaning behind necessity and desire. Often times, we as human beings, become obsessed with the materialistic aspects of things. Sometimes objects appear to be a necessity however, in fact, these items are not a vital aspect of survival.

“Our Lord challenged us in the Gospels not to worry about what we need in terms of the necessities of life such as food and clothing, but rather to “seek first the kingdom of God….and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). He also advised us to not to worry about tomorrow, as it would take care of itself (Matthew 6:34).”

Matthew 6:33-34 are lines to memorize and revisit when you decide it’s necessary to request a prayer for financial help from God. Our Lord came face to face with so many challenges during his life – and at times he wasn’t presented with the most appealable odds. Yet, the Lord made his resources work and did his best to make sure those around him also had a livable quality of life. Before you say a prayer for financial help, reevaluate your situation and ask yourself some very important questions. Can you wake up tomorrow and survive without the money you are asking for? Will you go hungry if you do not have the financial help you’re praying to the Lord for? Will your family be in a state of destitution without these funds? If your answer is no, then you’ll discover that life is not that bad off as is. Answering these definitive questions will help to paint the reality that may be skewed in your mind. However, if your answers to those questions are yes then find comfort in knowing that the Lord will provide and hear your prayers. Always remember that your God will always be by your side.

Almighty God,I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ.

Jesus I believe You are the Son of God and the only way to God. That You died on the Cross for my Sins and rose again from the dead. I confess that my life has been sinful separated from You ( Rom 3:23 ). Forgive my sins. Jesus I believe You shed Your precious Blood on the Cross for my justification. I thank You for Loving me.

Jesus I turn to You. Heal my body and soul. Heal my body, …heal my life. Come into my heart. Fill my soul. Change me. Mold me. Use me. Heal me. Deliver me. Transform my life and never let me be the same again. Cleanse me with your Holy blood and make me Whole.

Jesus – in You I have the Eternal life. And this is Eternal Life, that I may know You, the only True God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent ( John 17:1-5 ). Let me know You deeply through Holy Spirit Father. Reveal Your Will to me according to my calling.

Heavenly Father fill me with the Holy Spirit and Baptize me with the Holy Ghost and Fire. That I may have part of the First Resurrection ( Rev 20:5-6). I receive Your Spirit and the Spiritual Gifts as Holy Spirit gives me according to His Will. I desire for Spiritual Gifts.

Jesus. Give me a new mind and new heart and a new spirit. Transform my life as I surrender to Your Divine Calling. I surrender to Your will. I surrender to receive the Power!

Jesus is Alive and hears my prayer right now!

I give myself fully to You Jesus. I give myself fully to You Holy Spirit.
I receive Your Power!
I receive Your Anointing!

I Pray and give You the Glory,
Amen

WORLD WAR 3: Iran tries to form new coalition with Saudi Arabia to TAKE ON Donald Trump

IRAN launched an attack on Donald Trump in a bid to build a new anti-US alliance with Saudi Arabia to fight against the US President’s “delusion”.

Tehran came to the defence of Saudi Arabia after Mr Trump claimed the Saudi King would not stay in power for longer than two weeks without US support.

The Iranian Foreign Minister used the jibe to try to persuade Saudis form a coalition with Tehran and build a “strong” Middle East.

Javad Zarif wrote on Twitter: “President Trump repeatedly humiliates the Saudis by saying they can’t last two weeks without his support.

“This is the recompense for the delusion that one’s security can be outsourced.

“We again extend our hand to our neighbours: let’s build a strong region, and stop this conceit.”

The US President’s comments Mr Zarif heavily criticised were made last week during a rally in Southaven, Mississippi.

During his speech, Trump claimed to “love” King Salaman but noted that unless the Kingdom increases its defence budget, it will face an uncertain future.

He told his supporters: “I said: King, we’re protecting you.

“You might not be there for two weeks without us; you have to pay for your military.

“‘I said, king, you have got trillions of dollars.

“Without us, who knows what’s going to happen?

“With us they are totally safe.”

The US President did not specify when he made the remark to the Saudi Monarch and there was no immediate reaction from the Kingdom.

However, his comments were clearly an effort to put pressure on one of the US’ closest Middle East allies over rising oil prices.

Trump has repeatedly demanded OPEC and Saudi Arabia, the world’s biggest oil exporter, to push prices down.

But analysts have been warning prices could go up to $100 a barrel as Iranian oil exports have already been hit by the US sanctions, which will officially take effect on November 4.

Is Israel’s military honeymoon with Russia in Syria over?

Jerusalem also considered sending Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman to visit Moscow to stop the diplomatic crisis from spiraling even further.

Jerusalem also considered sending Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman to visit Moscow to stop the diplomatic crisis from spiraling even further.

For the first time in decades, the operational freedom of the Israel Air Force may truly be at risk – not because of terrorist groups or countries bent on Israel’s destruction, but because of Russia – and intense efforts have been put into motion on all sides to prevent that from occurring.

The downing of the Russian Ilyushin Il-20 plane by a Syrian air-defense missile during Israeli air strikes against Iranian targets has led to one of the lowest points in the relationship between Jerusalem and Moscow in years.

The deaths of 15 Russian servicemen is a major embarrassment for Moscow, which has positioned itself as the main superpower in the region and has placed the blame of the downing of the plane last week squarely on Israel, accusing it of using the Il-20 as cover to carry out the strikes on targets in Syria.

Israel, meanwhile, has placed the blame for the incident on the Syrian regime, which used a Russian-made antiaircraft battery to bring down the plane during a strike by Israeli F-16 fighter jets on a Syrian military facility near the coastal city of Latakia on September 17.

Following the incident, Israel sent an IDF delegation to Moscow headed by IAF commander Maj.-Gen. Amikam Norkin to present the Russians with all of the facts regarding the incident, including intelligence gathered prior to the attack, a recording of the hotline call between Tel Aviv and the Khmeimim Air Base before the Israeli operation, and the findings of the IDF’s own investigation into the accident.

Russian officials reportedly rebuffed an Israeli attempt to dispatch a high-level government delegation to Moscow led by national security adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat along with the IAF delegation led by Norkin.

According to reports, Jerusalem also considered sending Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman to visit Moscow to stop the diplomatic crisis from spiraling even further.

But Russia, which has blamed the Israeli military and not the government, preferred instead to meet only with Norkin, to hear his team’s explanation for the deadly incident.

While it is indisputable that Syrian forces are the ones that shot down the Russian plane using a Russian-made missile defense system, nevertheless, despite the Israeli delegation’s visit to Moscow and telephone calls between Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia is ignoring the findings of the IAF’s investigation.

The question is why: to save face for an operational blunder, to which Russia, which helps manage Syria’s air defense network, bears some responsibility? Or because Moscow has decided that the downing provides a long-sought-after pretext to void its agreement with Israel, which up until now has allowed the IAF to attack targets in Syria with relative impunity?

The answer is likely both. As many analysts have suggested, the downing of the Ilyushin Il20 has revealed fundamental problems with Russian air defenses in Syria, particularly the robustness of its IFF (identification friend or foe) electronic signals carried by its aircraft.

The fact that it didn’t work to save one of its own spy planes is a profound embarrassment for its military, especially since the Russian officers who operate the air defenses alongside Syrian troops failed to properly supervise the Syrians who pressed the launch button for the intensive antiaircraft fire that ended up taking down the Russian plane.

Accusing Israel of using the Russian plane as shield from the missiles is likely nothing more than a shield against the failure of its troops deployed in Syria.

Equally vexing has been the pounding Russia’s allies in Syria have taken in recent months at the hands of the IAF. With Israel’s recent admission that it had struck Syria over 200 times since 2017, Moscow needs to show some resolve, to demonstrate its commitment to its primary strategic partners in the region, which remain Damascus and Tehran.

Russia, which views Iran as a key player in resolving the crisis in Syria, has repeatedly emphasized the importance of the role that the Islamic Republic plays in the war-torn country.

Israel rarely comments on foreign reports of military activity in Syria and has remained silent on hundreds of other strikes since the outbreak of the country’s civil war, which Russia joined in September 2015.

Some of the strikes attributed to Israel even occurred in areas where the Russians have deployed their advanced S-300 and S-400 missile defense batteries. But thanks to a deconfliction mechanism in place, no Israeli jets were ever at risk.

According to the IDF, the strikes, which mainly targeted advanced weapons systems and infrastructure belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, were aimed at preventing Iranian entrenchment in Syria.

Following the downing of the Russian plane, Moscow announced it would supply Syria with the advanced S-300 missile defense system and impose electronic countermeasures over Syria’s coastline that would suppress satellite navigation, onboard radar systems and the communications of warplanes attacking targets in Syrian territory.

Emboldened by Moscow’s announcement, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said Wednesday that “Israel, which got used to carrying out many attacks under different pretexts, would have to recalculate and reconsider before attacking again.”

But while some think the supplying of S-300 systems to the Syrians may jeopardize Israeli missions over Syria, according to foreign reports Israeli pilots have already trained to defeat the system.

NATO member Greece, for example, has operated the S-300 since the late 1990s, and Israeli aircraft have trained in its airspace as well as in Cyprus, undoubtedly giving it an opportunity to learn its tracking system in real time.

“The S-300 delivery to Syria is overinflated,” wrote Amos Yadlin, head of the Institute for National Security Studies and former head of Military Intelligence, on his Twitter account on Tuesday. The “S-300 doesn’t change the strategic balance. No air defense system is impregnable or indestructible. Israel has F-35s which were designed with exactly such systems in mind.”

“If S-300 batteries are operated by Russians – that’s not new, with Russian S-400 operating in Syria for years, never launching against Israel or US aircraft. If Syrian crews operate them, Israel will know how to hit it. Russian air defense systems’ reputation will take a hit,” he added.

Netanyahu, too, warned Tuesday, before flying to New York to address the UN General Assembly, that Israel will continue to act against Iranian entrenchment in the region, even with Moscow supplying the system to the Syrians.

“In the past three years, Israel has been very successful in preventing the Iranian military from setting up bases in Syria and attempting to supply lethal weapons to Hezbollah. We did this with maximum and successful security coordination with the Russian military,” said Netanyahu.

“We will continue to act to prevent the Iranian military buildup in Syria,” he continued. “We will do what is necessary to defend Israel’s security.”•

End Time Headlines – Netanyahu’s speech wasn’t about Iran’s nuclear capability, but credibility

End Time Headlines - Netanyahu’s speech wasn’t about Iran’s nuclear capability, but credibility

The overall message slashing at Iran’s credibility was quite serious.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech on Thursday about Iran at the UN is not likely to create any sudden changes in the nuclear standoff any more than US President Donald Trump’s earlier speech.

Netanyahu also did not actually go after Iran in any serious way for increasing its nuclear capabilities.

So his speech was really another very public opportunity to peel away at the Islamic Republic’s credibility on the nuclear issue.

For example, his sole more technical reference was to Iran racing to conceal and spread out a supply of 15 kilograms of “radioactive material” – presumably enriched uranium.

In and of itself, this allegation does not actually mean very much.

Iran once had and gave away at least 11,000 kilograms of uranium and is allowed to continue to possess 300 kilograms of uranium under the 2015 nuclear deal.

The allegation might have been stronger if the prime minister had said that the 15 kilograms were highly enriched to the 20% or higher level which is not permitted under the deal.

So this part was likely a bit less serious and more to score some public relations points with viewers who got to hear the words “radioactive material.”

But the overall message slashing at Iran’s credibility was quite serious.

On April 30, Netanyahu gave a press conference to the world about a secret nuclear archive that Tehran was concealing from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and which the Mossad had appropriated in a daring operation for the ages.

Netanyahu said on Thursday that the IAEA had not performed any follow-up. Whether it has or not, it has not publicized that it has.
There was a lot of debate after the April 30 Netanyahu speech about whether he had revealed anything new.

What was clearly knew was catching Iran concealing information from the IAEA. What would disturb many observers following the nuclear standoff would be that, almost five months later, the IAEA has taken no real public action to clarify or explain the concealment allegations.

This was why Netanyahu revealed a second and new hidden site.

He will probably be criticized by some in the Mossad and the intelligence community about revealing what Israeli intelligence knows, as this can risk sources being cut off and found.

But he wanted to maintain and escalate the pressure on the IAEA to do its job.

As the EU touts its special economic vehicle for trying to help companies circumvent US anti-Iran sanctions so that they can continue to do business with the Islamic Republic, it maintains that its basis for aggressively defending Iran is that it has kept the 2015 deal.

This argument becomes harder and harder to make as Israel continues to publicly out hidden sites that the IAEA has not and is not inspecting.

Netanyahu is also messaging to Iran that the Mossad and surveillance can find Tehran’s secret nuclear moves anytime and anywhere even if the IAEA is not aggressively inspecting beyond the sites it knows about.

At some point, EU support for the deal may start to become less sturdy. At that point, even if Iran is keeping aspects of the deal, Netanyahu’s continuing barrage of bombshell disclosures of concealment could be the principled basis to walk away.

Prophecy News – Tony Blair – We need a second Brexit vote so that we don’t betray Britain’s future

Prophecy News - Tony Blair - We need a second Brexit vote so that we don’t betray Britain’s future

The case for the People’s Vote is now overwhelming. The real betrayal of the country would be refusing it.

There have been two years of frankly fruitless negotiations. We are not agreed with Europe or among ourselves. There are at least three different versions of what the 2016 Brexit mandate means. The Chequers proposal is the least popular version on offer, polling miserably. Yet this is what our Government is threatening to stampede through Parliament or else plunge us into the abyss of a “no deal Brexit .”

Our knowledge of what Brexit entails from the single market and customs union to the Irish border is vastly enlarged. Facts have replaced claims. There has been no recession. But the value of our currency has fallen around 10-15 per cent — a prediction by the international markets of decline in our future wealth. Investment confidence in the UK is negative, the motor industry alone down by 40 per cent. Prices are up. The financial sector is moving jobs. And, no, we will not be seeing a £350 million weekly boost to the NHS. Instead, we are spending billions preparing for Brexit plus paying a £40 billion bill to Europe.

At a minimum, this thing has turned out to be much more complicated than anyone thought in June 2016.

In these circumstances it is natural common sense to ask: in the light of all we know now, is the will of the British people still for Brexit or to remain part of Europe?

In these circumstances it is natural common sense to ask: in the light of all we know now, is the will of the British people still for Brexit or to remain part of Europe?

This solution is the only route to salvation. For the country, if Britain votes again for Brexit, that is the conclusion of the matter. Then we set about making a new future for the country.

By contrast, the Chequers proposal will not end anything. The Brexiteers have made it clear that they will carry on the fight after March 2019 to secure a harder Brexit. My side will use the halfway house of Chequers as a stepping stone back into Europe.

For the Conservative Party, the People’s Vote is a way of ridding themselves of the Europe question which has bedevilled them and on which they’re irredeemably divided. Ironically, separate it out in a new referendum and they’re completely united in fighting today’s Labour Party.

As for Labour, its members are massively in favour of a People’s Vote. The drama around the Salzburg summit has obscured why we are where we are in the Brexit debacle.

At the heart of Brexit is a myth: that we don’t control our own laws. The reality is we do. We have created the NHS and could abolish it. Have tuition fees or scrap them. Put taxes up or down. Spend more or spend less. Shut down all immigration from outside Europe or not. Declare war or make peace. Be tough on crime or be softer.

We had a Labour government in the Seventies when Britain was part of Europe, nationalising, taxing heavily and giving trade unions power. We had a Thatcher government in the Eighties which privatised, hammered unions and cut tax. Today we could have a Conservative Government under Jacob Rees-Mogg or a Labour one under Jeremy Corbyn — and let us agree that their consequences would be very different.

The laws where we have chosen to be constrained are those arising from the single market, a unique trading construct where Europe does not merely abolish tariffs — a conventional trade agreement — but has created a unified regulatory regime, with standards and specifications the same between London and Paris as they are between London and Newcastle. This allows a car manufacturer in Britain to make and assemble parts using plants all over Europe and sell the car in one big market of 450 million people, not one of 65 million.

“If we lose access to the single market and go to a Canada-style free trade agreement we will pay a heavy price”

Because those laws sometimes give rise to disputes and 28 different countries are involved, they’re settled by the European Court.

For more than three decades we have been trading in this market. A huge network of interrelated commerce has grown up around it.

What Britain is seeking to do with Brexit is what no other modern developed nation has ever tried: to de-liberalise its trade by exiting its main trading agreement, the single market, only to re-liberalise it by other means.

The problem with Brexit is Brexit. At its core is this dilemma which the Government has struggled with from the beginning and never resolved, not because they’re incompetent — though some of the negotiating has been that — but because there is no resolution.

If we lose access to the single market and go to a Canada-style free trade agreement we will pay a heavy price. And there will be a hard border in Northern Ireland. Theresa May’s criticism of Boris Johnson’s position is right.

On the other hand, if we don’t pull out of the single market, we will remain bound by its rules, the rationale for Brexit disappears and so the Johnson criticism of May is also right.

The dilemma — “what’s the price vs what’s the point” — is the reason for the breakdown in the negotiations and the absence of consensus in the country. Neither is palatable. The issue is: if that’s the choice, do the people prefer to leave or stay in the EU?

The idea that there will be riots in the street if we ask them is fatuous. The opposition to such a vote is not fear of defying the people but, 30 months the wiser as to what Brexit really means, fear of what they might say.

End Time Prophecy News – Russia says it will send Syria powerful antiaircraft missiles

End Time Prophecy News - Russia says it will send Syria powerful antiaircraft missiles

Russia said Monday it would equip Syria with sophisticated air defense systems, a move that could worsen a rift with Israel by limiting its ability to bomb across its northern border.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Moscow would send Russia’s powerful S-300 ground-to-air missile systems to Syria, a longtime ally, in the next two weeks. Israel, which has repeatedly bombed Iranian targets in Syria, has long opposed such deliveries, and Russia up to now has refrained from supplying the weapons.

But the downing last week of a Russian reconnaissance plane with 15 service members aboard changed the dynamic. The plane was shot down by a Syrian missile, but Russia faulted Israel for the crash because an Israeli fighter jet allegedly had used the Russian plane as a screen against Syria’s air defenses.

Israel, by contrast, said that its air force had not violated any agreements with Russia and that Israeli jets had already returned to Israeli airspace when the missiles were launched. The crash was one of the deadliest incidents for regular Russian service members in the Syrian war.

“Today, the situation has changed, for no fault of ours,” Shoigu said in a televised statement Monday announcing the S-300 deliveries.

Shoigu said Russia also will jam military aircraft communications in the airspace next to Syria over the Mediterranean Sea while upgrading Syria’s air defense command systems.

Prophecy in News – Kushner Says Punishing Palestinians Won’t Hurt Chance for Peace Deal

Prophecy in News - Kushner Says Punishing Palestinians Won’t Hurt Chance for Peace Deal

Three days after the Trump administration evicted the Palestine Liberation Organization from its offices in Washington, Jared Kushner defended the latest in a string of punitive actions against the Palestinians and insisted that none of them had diminished the chances of a peace accord between Israel and the Palestinians.

Speaking on Thursday, 25 years to the day after the Oslo peace accords were signed on the White House lawn not far from his West Wing office, Mr. Kushner said President Trump had actually improved the chances for peace by stripping away the “false realities” that surround Middle East peacemaking.

“There were too many false realities that were created — that people worship — that I think needed to be changed,” he said in an interview. “All we’re doing is dealing with things as we see them and not being scared out of doing the right thing. I think, as a result, you have a much higher chance of actually achieving a real peace.”

Mr. Kushner said he did not want to be too critical of the Oslo accords, which created the framework for peace negotiations over the last three decades. But he cast his own efforts as a radical break with the past, evincing little nostalgia for the historic images of Bill Clinton drawing together Yasir Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin in September 1993.

Prophecy in the News – Atlanta archbishop invites pro-LGBT priest James Martin to speak in archdiocese

pro-LGBT priest James Martin

A U.S. archbishop has invited Fr. James Martin, SJ — the most outspoken proponent of the normalization of homosexuality within the Catholic Church — to speak in his diocese.

“Archbishop Wilton Gregory of Atlanta has graciously invited me to his archdiocese to speak,” said the Jesuit priest in a tweet, “so I will be speaking at St. Thomas More Parish (the Jesuit parish) on Sat. Oct 20 and at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on the morning of Sun. Oct 21.”

“I will be speaking on the same topic as I did at the World Meeting of Families: ‘Showing Welcome and Respect in Our Parishes to LGBT People and their Families,’” noted Martin in a follow-up tweet.

Faithful Shepherds has listed Archbishop Gregory as not upholding Church teaching on homosexuality. News broke last month of Gregory’s appointment of a pro-gay priest who heads a gay-affirming parish to be diocesan spiritual director for victims of sexual abuse by clergy.

The parish of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the first Catholic church built in Atlanta, maintains a “Pride Outreach,” including running a booth at Atlanta’s gay pride week.

“The Shrine has always welcomed all of God’s children. During PRIDE week each year, we celebrate God’s diversity by maintaining a booth in the park,” the parish website states.

End Time Headlines - Iran blames U.S. and its allies for terror in Iranian city The early morning attack is one of the bloodiest in decades.

Iran blames U.S. and its allies for terror in Iranian city The early morning attack is one of the bloodiest in decades.

ran blamed the US and its allies in the region, which includes Israel and Saudi Arabia, for an attack in Ahvaz on Saturday that killed at least 25 and wounded dozens. The attack targeted a military parade that was attended by members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Twelve members of the IRGC were killed.

The allegation will almost certainly ratchet up tensions with Iran’s regional rival Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies, who along with the United States have been working to isolate the Islamic Republic.

The four gunmen attacked the military parade in Ahvaz, in southwestern Iran, in an early morning attack that was one of the bloodiest in decades. The gunmen, disguised as local soldiers, sprayed participants with bullets and targeted a reviewing stand where commanders and senior regime leaders were standing. The parade had begun at around 9 a.m.

Videos by witnesses at the event showed the moment the shots were fired. Dozens ran, including many of the soldiers present who didn’t initially use their weapons to engage the attackers. By noon the government accused “takfiri elements” for the attack, a reference to Sunni Muslim terrorists.

“Their crime is in the continuation of plots hatched by the US-led governments in the region who aim to create insecurity in our dear country,” Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said, without mentioning the regional states he believed were to blame.

Khamenei ordered security forces to bring to justice the “criminals” behind one of the worst attacks ever against the IRGC, which answers to him.

Foreign Minister Javad Zarif tweeted, “Terrorists recruited, trained, armed and paid by foreign regime have attack Ahvaz. Children and journos [sic] among casualties.” He also said that Tehran held the US accountable for the attack and that “Iran will respond swiftly and decisively in defense of Iranian lives.”

The gunmen were trained by two Gulf Arab states and had ties to the United States and Israel, according to Brig.-Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi, a senior spokesman for Iran’s armed forces. “They are not from Daesh (Islamic State) or other groups fighting [Iran’s] Islamic system… but they are linked to America and [Israel’s intelligence agency the] Mossad,” he told state news agency IRNA.

There was no immediate Gulf Arab comment on his remarks.

Shekarchi said the attackers had hidden weapons in an area near the parade route several days in advance.
Women and children also died in the assault, state news IRNA agency reported.

“All four terrorists were quickly neutralized by security forces,” he told state television. “A four-year-old girl and a wheelchair-bound war veteran were among the dead.”

An Iranian ethnic Arab opposition movement called the Ahvaz National Resistance, which seeks a separate state in oil-rich Khuzestan province, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Islamic State militants also claimed responsibility. Neither group provided evidence. All four attackers were killed.

The assault comes a day after a group fighting against the regime in Ahvaz had sent congratulations to Saudi Arabia for its national day.

Ahwaz is the center of a province that has a large Arab minority and there are a number of groups that have opposed the Iranian regime from Ahvaz over the years. An Ahvaz activist was assassinated last year in the Netherlands, allegedly by the Iranian regime.

A spokesman for one of the groups who called into a Farsi language TV program said that his group had targeted the IRGC, not civilians.

The attack comes 10 days after the US said it would hold Iran accountable for attacks in Iraq after Iranian-backed militias targeted a US consulate in Basra, across the border from Ahvaz.

The bloodshed struck a blow to security in OPEC oil producer Iran, which has been relatively stable compared with neighboring Arab countries that have grappled with upheaval since the 2011 uprisings across the Middle East.

The IRGC, the most powerful and heavily armed military force in the country, has been the sword and shield of Shi’ite clerical rule in Iran since its 1979 Islamic Revolution. The Guards play a big role in Iran’s regional interests and have a vast stake worth billions of dollars in Iran’s economy.

Tensions between mainly Shi’ite Iran and mostly Sunni Saudi Arabia have risen in recent years, with the two countries supporting opposite sides in wars in Syria and Yemen and rival political parties in Iraq and Lebanon.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani ordered security forces to identify those responsible for the violence, the semi-official ISNA news agency said. The attack occurred the day before Rouhani heads to New York to address the annual UN General Assembly next week.

“Rouhani will use the terrorist attack to justify Iran’s presence in the Middle East… The attack will strengthen the IRGC’s position inside Iran and in the region,” Tehran-based political analyst Hamid Farahvashian said.

Iran will face pressure to respond to the high-profile attack on the Revolutionary Guards.

“The attacks are doubtlessly meant to tarnish the prestige of the IRGC, but I believe the terrorist incidents will strengthen the IRGC’s standing and even mobilize some public support,” said Ali Alfoneh, a senior fellow at the Gulf Arab States Institute in Washington.

Hardliners like the IRGC have gained standing at the expense of pragmatists in Iran’s multi-tiered leadership since US President Donald Trump decided in May to pull the United States out of the 2015 international nuclear deal with Tehran and reimpose sanctions in moves to isolate the Islamic Republic.

Kurdish militants killed 10 Revolutionary Guards in an attack on an IRGC post on the Iraqi border in July, where armed Kurdish opposition groups are active.

Last year, in the first deadly assault claimed by Islamic State in Tehran, 18 people were killed at the parliament and at the mausoleum of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic.

End Time Headlines – Egypt releases 1978 Camp David Accords calling for Palestinian autonomy JPOST

End Time Headlines - Egypt releases 1978 Camp David Accords calling for Palestinian autonomy

Some analysts believe that the document was published now, to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Accords, as a poke in the eye of United States President Donald Trump.

Egypt on Thursday published previously classified documents from its 1978 peace negotiations with Israel that called for full Palestinian autonomy in the West Bank and Gaza Strip within five years. The talks resulted in the Camp David Accords, comprising one deal pertaining to the Palestinian issue and a second that formed the foundation of the comprehensive Israel-Egypt treaty forged a year later. The Accords were signed by then-Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin as well as former Egyptian and American presidents Anwar Sadat and Jimmy Carter.

The document regarding the Palestinians, titled “A Framework for Peace in the Middle East,” envisioned a five-year transitional period beginning with the establishment of an elected Palestinian body to administer the territories captured by Israel in the 1967 war. The Israeli military government would thereafter cease to operate in these self-ruled regions, although the terms of the pact provided for the Israel Defense Forces to remain in certain areas for an undefined period of time.

After the interim period, final-status negotiations were to be held to hash out the details of an end-of-claims agreement. Notably, the initial framework did not include mention of the status of Jerusalem or Palestinian refugees.

Some analysts believe that the document was published now, to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Accords, as a poke in the eye of United States President Donald Trump, whose administration was boycotted by the Palestinian Authority following Washington’s recognition in December of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. High-ranking Palestinian officials, including PA leader Mahmoud Abbas, repeatedly have leveled fierce criticism against the White House, which they accuse of being biased in favor of Israel and of attempting to “liquidate” the Palestinian cause through a yet-unveiled peace proposal.

In response, President Trump has cut off hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to the PA and to programs in the West Bank and Gaza, including funds earmarked for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which tends to Palestinian refugees.

By contrast, others believe Cairo’s move was prompted by a desire to remind the Palestinians of what is at stake should Abbas continue to reject out-of-hand President Trump’s eighteen-months-in-the-making so-called “deal of the century.” In fact, one Palestinian official who spoke to The Media Line on condition of anonymity contended that Egyptian President Abdel al-Fattah al-Sisi was in the US’s corner, especially since Washington earlier this month released $1.2 billion in military aid to Egypt previously suspended over human rights concerns.

Abbas has in recent months clashed with Cairo, which is mediating a process aimed at ending the decade-long feud between the PA-governed West Bank and Hamas-ruled Gaza.

End Time Headlines – China, Russia warn US of consequences over sanctions

End Time Headlines - China, Russia warn US of consequences over sanctions

MOSCOW (AFP) –

Moscow and Beijing lashed out Friday at Washington’s new anti-Russian sanctions that also target China for the first time, warning the United States could face consequences.

The United States is “playing with fire”, Russia’s deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov said, while Beijing voiced “strong indignation” over the move.

United in their resentment of America’s global influence, China and Russia have sought in recent years to tighten up their ties and this month conducted week-long joint military drills, Moscow’s largest ever war games.

On Thursday, China — which is also locked in a trade war with Washington — got caught up in the sanctions war against Russia as the United States announced a new raft of measures that would punish third countries for dealing with Moscow.

Stepping up pressure on Moscow over its “malign activities,” the US State Department said it was placing financial sanctions on the Equipment Development Department of the Chinese Ministry of Defence, and its top administrator, for its recent purchase of Russian Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets and S-400 surface-to-air missile systems.

Beijing on Friday urged the United States to withdraw sanctions or “bear the consequences”.

“The US actions have seriously violated the basic principles of international relations and seriously damaged the relations between the two countries and the two militaries,” said foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang, adding Beijing had lodged an official protest with the United States.

“We strongly urge the US to immediately correct their mistake and withdraw their so-called sanctions, otherwise the US will have to bear the consequences.”

US officials said it was the first time a third country has been punished under the CAATSA sanctions legislation for dealing with Russia, signalling Donald Trump’s administration will risk relations with other countries in its campaign against Moscow.

– ‘Undermining stability’ –

Moscow said Washington was rocking global stability and said sarcastically that placing sanctions on Russia has become Washington’s favourite “pastime.”

“It would be good for them to remember there is such a concept as global stability which they are thoughtlessly undermining by whipping up tensions in Russian-American ties,” said Ryabkov.

“Playing with fire is silly, it can become dangerous,” he said in a statement.

The State Department also announced it was placing 33 Russian intelligence and military-linked actors on its sanctions blacklist.

All of them — defence related firms, officers of the GRU military intelligence agency, and people associated with the Saint Petersburg-based Internet Research Agency disinformation group — have been on previous US sanctions lists.

Twenty eight of them have already been indicted by Robert Mueller, who is investigating election meddling by Russia.

US officials said that the US could consider similar action against other countries taking delivery of Russian fighter jets and missiles.

Turkey is in talks to buy S-400 missile systems from Russia.

Ryabkov reiterated that none of the rounds of sanctions had managed to force Russia to change its course so far.

“It appears that it has become a sort of national pastime there,” he added, noting the latest round of anti-Russian measures was the 60th since 2011.

For all of Russia’s seemingly upbeat rhetoric the new measures can hurt the country’s struggling economy.

Arms exports are an important source of revenue for the country and last year Russia sold more than $14 billion worth of arms overseas.

– Sanctions target only Russia? –

A senior US administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity, insisted the ultimate target was Russia.

“CAATSA sanctions in this context are not intended to undermine the defence capabilities of any particular country,” the official said.

CAATSA, or the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, was passed in 2017 as a tool that gives Washington more ways to target Russia, Iran and North Korea with economic and political sanctions.

China’s EDD and its director Li Shangfu became targets after taking delivery over the past year of the jets and missiles from Rosoboronexport, Russia’s main arms exporter already on the US blacklist for its support of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.

The US official said Washington had spent “an enormous amount of time” seeking to discourage prospective buyers of Russian arms.

The new sanctions came as the United States and China are in the heat of a trade war.

The two countries will launch new tariffs on Monday, with Washington targeting $200 billion in Chinese exports and Beijing hitting $60 billion worth of American products.

End Time Headlines - Duke Energy says dam breached at North Carolina plant and coal ash may be flowing into Cape Fear River

Duke Energy says dam breached at North Carolina plant and coal ash may be flowing into Cape Fear River

  • A Duke Energy dam containing a 1,100-acre reservoir in North Carolina is breached, and may be causing coal ash to flow into the nearby Cape Fear River.
  • Hurricane Florence brought rain measured in feet to North Carolina, followed by rising rivers and standing water in fields.
  • The president of Duke Energy’s North Carolina operations, David Fountain, told CNBC earlier this week that the impact from Hurricane Florence has been the most severe he’s ever experienced.

Floodwaters on Friday breached a dam that contains a man-made lake connected to a Duke Energy power plant in North Carolina, possibly causing coal ash to flow into the nearby Cape Fear River, the company said.

The floodwaters flowed from Cape Fear River into the northern side of Sutton Lake, an 1,100-acre reservoir built in 1972 to cool the L.V. Sutton Power Station. That water caused breaches in the dam on the south end of the lake, which was flowing back into the river, Duke Energy said in a press release.

The 200-mile Cape Fear River flows into the Atlantic at Wilmington, North Carolina.

The Sutton site in Wilmington was home to a coal-fired power plant until 2013, when Duke replaced it with a natural gas power station. Duke dismantled the coal-fired plant by 2017, but the grounds contained about 7 million tons of coal ash in waste pits at the time of its closure. There are still two coal ash basins on site.

The flooding forced Duke to shut down the 625-megawatt natural gas plant, and the company is monitoring the coal ash pits.

Coal ash is a byproduct produced primarily at coal-fired power plants. It contains contaminants harmful to human health including mercury, cadmium and arsenic.

Heavy rain from Florence caused one of the coal ash landfills to partially collapse, Duke reported on Saturday. The incident likely caused coal ash to run off into Sutton Lake, a Duke spokesperson told the AP.

On Friday, Duke said it believes coal ash contained in one of the basins remains in place behind a steel wall that separates Sutton Lake from a site where the waste is still being excavated. That steel wall was under water, the company said, but an earthen part of the dam setting off the basin remained 2 feet above the surface.

Another type of coal combustion byproduct, cenospheres composed mostly of alumni and silica, has flowed from that basin into Sutton Lake and Cape Fear River, Duke said.

The second basin, which contains most of the sites ash, is about 10 feet from the floodwater and has not been affected, Duke said.

Shares of Duke Energy, which were higher before the news hit, rolled over and were down less than 1 percent Friday afternoon.

Hurricane Florence packed high wind and rain measured in feet to the Carolinas, followed by rising rivers and standing water in fields.

Florence made landfall on Sept. 13 as a Category 1 hurricane in a resort town just east of Wilmington, North Carolina’s eighth-largest city. The city of more than 117,000 people has been cut off by floodwaters. At least 42 storm-related deaths have been reported in the region, according to AP.

David Fountain, president of Duke Energy’s North Carolina operations, told CNBC on Monday that the impact from Florence has been the most severe he’s ever experienced.

“I’ve lived in North Carolina my entire life, and I’ve seen a lot of bad storms, a lot of bad hurricanes. But this is absolutely the worst,” Fountain said.

Property damage and disruption from Florence is expected to total at least $17 billion to $22 billion, but that estimate could end up being on the conservative end, according to Moody’s Analytics.

The company estimates 49,000 homes and businesses were still without power late this week.

End Time Headlines – OIL PRICE CRISIS – Trump DEMANDS Middle East reduce oil prices – We keep you safe

OIL PRICE CRISIS Trump DEMANDS Middle East reduce oil prices - We keep you safe

OIL PRICE CRISIS: Trump DEMANDS Middle East reduce oil prices – We keep you safe

US President Donald Trump linked American support for Middle Eastern countries to oil prices on Thursday as he again urged OPEC to lower prices.

He wrote on Twitter: ”We protect the countries of the Middle East, they would not be safe for very long without us.
“And yet they continue to push for higher and higher oil prices! We will remember.
“The OPEC monopoly must get prices down now!”
The Republican president has lashed out at the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries over the past several months.
Rising US gasoline prices could create a political headache for Mr Trump before November congressional elections by offsetting Republican claims that his tax cuts and rollbacks of federal regulations have helped boost the US economy.

Mr Trump has called on Saudi Arabia, OPEC’s largest producer, to raise output, saying that it should help the US lower fuel prices since Washington is aiding Riyadh in its struggle against Iran.

OPEC and its allies are unlikely to agree to an official increase in crude output when they meet in Algeria this weekend.

However, pressure is mounting on top producers to prevent a spike in oil prices ahead of new US sanctions on Iran, OPEC sources told Reuters on Thursday.

The new sanctions take effect in November, as a result of with Mr Trump’s decision to pull out of a 2015 agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.

Saudi Arabia is worried that any sanctions-related spike in oil prices will trigger fresh criticism from Trump.

However, it also faces doubts over its ability to compensate for a drop in Iranian supply, the sources said.

In a visit to Moscow this month, US Energy Secretary Rick Perry said Saudi Arabia, the United States and Russia can between them raise global output in the next 18 months to compensate for falling oil supplies from Iran.

Iran oil crisis: OPEC says Tehran ‘VERY important’ even AFTER US sanctions

THE HEAD of the oil producer group OPEC said yesterday Iran remains a “very important member” of the cartel, as Tehran braces for a second wave of US sanctions targeting its crude exports.

The oil-rich nation, which is currently at loggerheads with Washington over its nuclear weapons programme, is currently the third-largest producer in OPEC.

“Iran is a very important member of OPEC … and we have no choice but to continue working with all parties,” Mohammad Barkindo, the chief of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, said at the Gulf Intelligence Energy Forum in the emirate of Fujairah.

Tehran, he continued, is a “very important exporter of oil”.

Mr Barkindo did not, however, explain how crude producers would compensate for declining exports from Iran, with the fresh sanctions targeting the country’s oil industry due to come into force on November 4.

Mr Barkindo added that a “permanent” framework of communication between the 14 OPEC members and 11 non-OPEC oil states, including the world’s top oil exporter Russia, would be set up in December.

The Islamic republic is currently the third-largest producer in OPEC.

But output has dropped to its lowest level since July 2016 as top buyers India and China distance themselves from Tehran in fear of the sanctions.

In May, US President Donald Trump pulled America out of what he called a “defective” and “rotten” international nuclear deal with Iran and announced new sanctions against the regime.

Under the 2015 accord, Iran agreed to curb its nuclear activities in return for a lifting of crippling economic sanctions.

Britain, France and Germany – the deal’s European signatories – jointly condemned the move and pledged to save the deal from collapse, claiming it was the only way to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons in the Middle East.

European leaders, however, have since struggled to counter the impact of the sanctions.

The Trump administration, for its part, is pushing its allies to cut imports of Iranian oil to zero.
It is also coaxing other oil producers such as Saudi Arabia and Russia to pump more oil to meet any supply shortfall, and has warned importers to stop buying oil from Iran or risk being hit with secondary sanctions themselves.

Moayyed Hosseini Sadr, an adviser to Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh, said that the sanctions could not reduce the country’s oil sales to zero because of continued high demand, Iranian state TV reported on Tuesday.

“Considering the high demand and low supply in the market, America’s sanctions cannot drop Iran’s oil sales to zero… Other oil producers cannot replace Iran’s oil,” he said.

Mr Trump, a long-time critic of the Obama-era accord, has said he is open to striking a new, wider deal with Iran that would also address Tehran’s ballistic missiles programme and hegemonic ambitions in the Middle East.

But Iran has dismissed calls for such talks with the US.

End Time Headlines - Russian Military Plane With 14 Soldiers On Board Shot Down In Syria As Israel Takes Out Chemical Weapons Facility

Russian state news TASS said the IL-20 disappeared over the Mediterranean on Monday evening at the same time as the suspected strike. A Syrian facility linked to the country’s chemical weapons program was bombed on Monday night, triggering Syrian air defenses, state media reported.

14 Russian servicemen aboard plane which went missing over Mediterranean; Syria claims 2 killed after Israel fires missiles from Lebanese airspace toward chemical weapons-linked facility in Latakia

The Middle East was rocked tonight as a Russian military jet with 14 soldiers onboard was shot down as Israel launched airstrikes from Lebanese airspace on a chemical weapons depot in the Syrian city of Latakia. Israel is saying the Russian jet was shot down accidentally by Syrian forces, while others are saying that it was American Tomahawk missiles that were behind the strike.

Russia is demanding answers, Israel is refusing to comment, and America says the Russian jet was shot down by Syria. There will be very little sleep in the Middle East tonight.

FROM TIMES OF ISRAEL: A Russian military plane with 14 servicemen aboard was accidentally shot down by Syrian air defenses as they tried to repel an alleged Israeli strike on Monday, a US official told CNN. The official added that the plane was downed by a Russian-made missile system which was sold to Syria.

Russian state news TASS said the IL-20 disappeared over the Mediterranean on Monday evening at the same time as the suspected strike.  A Syrian facility linked to the country’s chemical weapons program was bombed on Monday night, triggering Syrian air defenses, state media reported.

The state-run Al-Ikhbariya TV reported loud explosions in the coastal Latakia province, saying they were likely from Israeli strikes targeting a state company for technical industries.

The Syrian army said that Israel fired missiles from Lebanese airspace, adding that two people were killed in the attack and the facility was severely damaged, Hadashot reported early Tuesday. A spokesperson for the US Department of Defense denied that the American military was behind the attack, telling the Voice of America news outlet, “I can unequivocally say this is not us.”

US officials have reported the Syrian army shot down the Russian plane while trying to thwart an alleged Israeli airstrike. Syrian state media said air defences intercepted and downed missiles targeting areas in the city of Latakia. Military sources reported missiles came from the direction of the sea in an hour-long attack.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel: It’s possible we will recognize Golan Heights

Friedman revealed in the interview that Israeli intelligence prevented terrorist attacks on US soil, Israel Hayom reported.

US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman said “it’s possible”, that the US might recognize the Golan Heights in the future in an interview with Israeli daily Israel Hayom.

“I personally can not imagine a situation in which the Golan Heights will be returned to Syria,” Friedman said. “And giving up the territory of the Golan Heights may put Israel in a great security disadvantage.”

Friedman made it clear in the interview that the Trump administration might consider future American recognition of the Golan Heights as an Israeli territory, according to Israel Hayom.

The ambassador was asked to respond to US National Security Adviser John Bolton’s statements from three weeks ago concerning the Golan Heights where Bolton told Reuters that “there’s no discussion of it, no decision within the US government.”

Friedman clarified that Bolton was describing the current situation and not the US’s future position.

In addition, Friedman rejected the possibility that any American government would reverse President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. “I do not see it happening, no matter which party is in power,” he said. “In order for any government to cancel the move, they will have to reach the conclusion that Jerusalem is not the capital of Israel, but Tel Aviv.”

Furthermore, the ambassador described talks between the administration and Israel concerning the West Bank and said that the Israelis have not yet approached the Americans about creating territorial contiguity between Jerusalem and the adjacent settlement of Ma’aleh Adumim, which would likely remain part of Israel in the event of territorial swaps for a two-state solution.

Friedman also addressed the recent decision by the administration to cut UNWRA budgets, and said “UNRWA is a critically damaged organization. It does not promote regional peace and perpetuates the conditions that make peace more difficult. As such, the US does not see how another investment in it will restore its value properly for the US taxpayer. ”

Friedman revealed in the interview that Israeli intelligence prevented terrorist attacks on US soil, Israel Hayom reported.

The ambassador also spoke about Trump’s overall policy and the recent investigations surrounding Trump’s administration.

Breaking Finance News – Pound US dollar exchange rate: GBP sheds last week’s gains against USD

Breaking Finance News Pound US dollar exchange rate GBP sheds last weeks gains against USD

THE pound US dollar exchange rate is trending at around $1.282 after reversing all of the gains made last week. The exchange rate has already lost over a cent this week, and is well below last Thursday’s multi-week-high of $1.303.

The US dollar has easily capitalised on fresh Brexit jitters, against general higher market demand for ‘safe haven’ currencies.

On top of a broadly stronger US dollar, the primary reason for the pound to US dollar exchange rate’s tumble has been fresh fears about disagreements between UK and EU Brexit negotiators.

Theresa May has said the government intends to hold its ground on its Brexit blueprint, despite criticism from EU Chief Negotiator Michel Barnier over some aspects of the plan.

Mr Barnier reminded reporters that the UK would not be able to pick and choose parts of the single market.

His criticism led to concerns that the UK and EU were still struggling to overcome key issues in negotiations, which has kept significant pressure on Sterling.

The pound has seen further downside pressure today too, in the form of Britain’s latest construction PMI.

The construction report was forecast to slide from 55.8 to 55.0, but unexpectedly slumped to 52.9.

Meanwhile, a resurgent US dollar has been able to capitalise on the pound’s weakness.

Investors have been pouring into the US dollar again as demand for safe havens escalates.

With trade tensions between the US and China worsening again, and US-Canada trade talks having fallen through, currency traders have been cautious about risk exposure once again.

And with the US economic outlook looking solid following Donald Trump’s tax and trade reforms, the US dollar is the most appealing currency for investors seeking safety.

Looking ahead, it’s possible the pound to US dollar exchange rate will fall further if Brexit fears continue to worsen.

Upcoming data could also prove influential. The UK services PMI could drive the pound on Wednesday, as services are the most important element of the UK economy.

If the data impresses, it could help the pound avoid further losses against the US dollar.

The US dollar, on the other hand, could weaken if investors shrug off their risk fears, or if trade and Non-Farm Payroll data, due in the second half of the week, disappoint.

EU in ‘MORTAL DANGER’: These FOUR member states ‘want to DESTROY us’ rages Brussels boss
THE European Union is in “mortal danger” because a number of nations want to destroy it, budget Commissioner Günther Oettinger has sensationally claimed.

Guenther Oettinger outlines plans to fill ‘Brexit blackhole

The Brussels boss said Europe would only be able to show it remains capable of being strong against a number of challenges facing it if national leaders and the European Parliament could quickly agree the EU’s next long-term budget.

Speaking at an event organised by Germany’s Federal Association of Non-Statutory Welfare Services on Tuesday evening, Mr Oettinger picked out four countries the EU has been feuding with as ones that want to “weaken or even destroy” it.

Commenting on the threats to the European Union, he told an audience during the event in Brussels: “In my view, the project is in mortal danger.

“Some within Europe want to weaken it or even destroy it — Poland, Hungary, Romania, the government of Italy.”
Mr Oettinger also picked out Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and “the clever Chinese” as putting the EU at risk by using trade wars and aggression.

The Budget Commissioner, a senior official within Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats and a long-time ally of the German Chancellor, even attacked his own country Germany for not showing enough enthusiasm for the EU, particularly when it comes to the budget.

He labelled Social Democrat Finance Minister Olaf Scholz as “an even stricter treasurer in that regard” than his Conservative predecessor Wolfgang Schäuble.

According to Politico, Mr Oettinger claimed the first chapter of the German government’s coalition deal is entitled to “a new start in Europe”

But he said: “I see nothing of that in the current debates in Berlin. Absolutely nothing.”

Commenting on whether Germany wanted to join a group of other nations from the bloc in pushing for a smaller EU budget, he added: “Help to make sure the German government doesn’t make cuts, as it did last time.”

Last week, Mr Oettinger said he saw a “50-50” chance and “100 percent good arguments” for the EU to reach a budget deal before the next European Parliament election, which will be held from May 23-26, 2019.

The Budget Commissioner added that he hoped the European Council summit in December would address major Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) topic and find new ways to accelerate talks before Easter.
The MFF is a seven-year framework regulating its annual budget and sets out the maximum amount of spend in the EU budget each year for a number of policy areas.

Mr Oettinger has said that blocking the long-term budget “is in the interest of no member state”, but has received strong opposition and criticism of it from a number of EU members recently, in particular Italy.

Last week, he rubbished Deputy Prime Minister Luigi Di Maio’s claims that Italy contributes €20 billion to the EU.

Both Mr Di Maio and Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini threaten to withhold Italy’s alleged €20 billion contributions to the Brussels bloc unless member states agreed to share the burden of asylum seekers docking in southern Italian ports.
Mr Oettinger – who warned Rome of the “heavy sanctions” Italy would incur into if it failed to meet budget requirements on Friday – argued Italy’s contribution to the EU is as little as €3 billion a year.

He said: “We should correct the figures. It’s not €20 billion a year.

“Italy pays in €14bn, €15bn, 16bn a year. If you take into account what they get out of the EU budget, that leaves a net contribution of €3bn a year.

“€20bn is a travesty.”

END TIME NEWS – Japan earthquake: Sapporo ROCKED by 6.7 earthquake – landslide traps people in homes

Japan Earthqake 2018

A POWERFUL earthquake has rocked the city of Sapporo in northern Japan just hours after large parts of the south of the country were battered by the biggest typhoon to hit in 25 years.

The Magnitude 6.7 quake struck 70 miles south of Sapporo on the island of Hokkaido, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The tremor triggered a landslide which covered homes in the rural town of Atsumi trapping residents inside.

People in Sapporo were woken up by strong shaking shortly after 7pm BST (3am Thursday local time) as the earth moved for around 20 seconds.

Japanese TV showed damaged buildings and quoted police as saying some people had been trapped in collapsed structures.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said officials have set up a command center to coordinate rescue efforts.

At least 10 people have been taken to hospital after being injured in the quake.

Reports of power outages in Japan’s northernmost prefecture have been widely shared on social media.

One Twitter user said: “Just woke up to a pretty damn big earthquake in Sapporo. I’ve been through quite a few before and I’m shaking like a leaf right now. In fact, we’re getting an aftershock right now…”

The tremor struck at an approximate depth of 20 miles, USGS data said.

No tsunami warning has been issued following the earthquake, which was initially reported as a Magnitude 7.0.

The epicenter was just 16 miles from the city of Chitose, home to Hokkaido’s main airport.

A Twitter user named Licia said: “My friends. We just had a major #earthquake here in Japan. #Hokkaido. #Sapporo. We are in the dark, but otherwise fine. Omg! It was humongous. No information on magnitude. Internet still works for now.”

USGS said the earthquake is not expected to generate a tsunami based on its intensity, depth and historic tsunami records.

Sapporo is the capital of Hokkaido prefecture with a population of nearly two million people.

Kenji Yamamoto, an official in Noborito, told public broadcaster NHK there were no reports of injuries or death in that town.

Japan sits in the “Ring of Fire” arc of volcanoes and oceanic trenches that partly encircles the Pacific Basin.

The island nation accounts for around 20 percent of the world’s earthquakes of Magnitude 6 or greater.

The earthquake comes just hours after prefectures in the south of Japan were battered by Typhoon Jebi.

At least 11 people were killed and more than 450 injured in the powerful storm caused widespread damage.

The cities of Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto which make up the Kansai region were some of the worst hit with violent winds of 135mph recorded.

Kansai International Airport, a major travel hub for the south of Japan, remains closed and could be shut for as long as a week.

Trump Cabinet Meeting Begins with Prayer by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo

Trump-meeting-Prayer-Breaking-News-about-Trump-President-Praying-prayer-trump

In a move that sparked division on social media, President Trump opened his cabinet meeting Thursday by asking Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to pray.

Pompeo said he was using a “Cadet Prayer” booklet from his days at West Point.

“O God, our Father, Thou Searcher of men’s hearts, help us to draw near to Thee in sincerity and truth. May our religion be filled with gladness and may our worship of Thee be natural,” Pompeo prayed. “Strengthen and increase our admiration for honest dealing and clean thinking, and suffer not our hatred of hypocrisy and pretense ever to diminish. Make us to choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong, and never be to content with a half truth when the whole can be won.”

“Endow us with courage that is born of loyalty to all that is noble and worthy, that scorns to compromise with vice and injustice and knows no fear when truth and right are in jeopardy,” Pompeo said. “Help us to maintain the honor of the United States untarnished and unsullied and to show forth in our lives the ideals of America in doing our duty to Thee and to our nation. All of which we ask in the name of the Great Friend and Master of man. Amen.”

C-SPAN posted the prayer on Twitter. Some applauded it.

“God bless this country!” one person wrote.

Others, though, said it was out of place.

“Is it a religious meeting? All of them are hypocrites,” another person wrote.

President George W. Bush, too, often began his cabinet meetings with prayer, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Breaking News – Correction: Israel-Palestinians story

In a story Aug. 24 about a Palestinian nurse involved in an attack against Israeli forces, The Associated Press reported erroneously that his employer, Doctors Without Borders, said he had been killed by Israeli troops. The group says he was killed, but it did not provide a cause of death.

A corrected version of the story is below:

Israel says Palestinian militant worked as nurse for MSF

Israel identifies Palestinian militant who it says attempted cross-border attack, says he was a nurse with MSF

By ILAN BEN ZION

Associated Press

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel has identified a Palestinian militant who it says attempted to carry out a cross-border attack this week, saying he worked as a nurse for the aid group Doctors Without Borders.

A statement released late Thursday by COGAT, the Israeli defense body responsible for Palestinian civilian affairs, said Hani al-Majdalawi tried to infiltrate Israel from Gaza, opened fire at soldiers and threw a bomb.

Israeli troops apparently shot and killed al-Majdalawi during the attack on Monday. The Israeli military has not said whether it is holding al-Majdalawi’s remains.

According to the statement, COGAT’s commander, Maj. Gen. Kamil Abu Rokon, said those who take “part in saving lives should assist in humanitarian activities in the Gaza Strip, and should not take part in terrorism.”

Alva White, spokeswoman for Doctors Without Borders, confirmed al-Majdalawi had worked for the organization. She said the group, also known under its French acronym MSF was “working to verify and understand the circumstances regarding this extremely serious incident.”

Al-Majdalawi’s brother Osama said on Facebook that his brother had bought the rifle with his own money and that he was not affiliated with any militant group but a newly married man with a pregnant wife.

Monday’s incident came amid Egyptian efforts to broker a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, the Islamist militant group that rules the Gaza Strip. The two sides have come close to serious conflict in recent weeks, as militants launched rockets and mortars into Israel, which retaliated with airstrikes.

Since March, Hamas leaders have organized violent protests weekly along the Gaza border fence.

Clashes with Israeli troops on the border have seen at least 168 Palestinians killed by Israeli fire, including at least 125 protesters, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry and a local rights group. An Israeli soldier was killed by a Gaza sniper during this same period.

End Time Prophecy News – Trump increases staff for Israeli-Palestinian peace team

Jerusalem Palestina Conflict Trump Resolves

The White House policy team is recruiting staffers from other government agencies to help them message the plan to the public.

WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump is adding staff to his Middle East peace team ahead of its rollout of a plan for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The White House policy team, currently centered on three of the president’s closest advisers, is recruiting staffers from other government agencies to help them message the plan to the public. They also seek expert units on the plan’s political elements as well as its economic components, according to reporting by the Associated Press.Jared Kushner, the president’s senior adviser leading the peace effort; and Jason Greenblatt, his special representative for international negotiations, “are expanding their team and the resources available as they finalize the details and rollout strategy of the peace initiative,” a National Security Council spokesman confirmed. “They continue to work very closely with the National Security Council staff and State Department.”

David Friedman, the president’s ambassador to Israel, is also deeply involved in the planning.

The administration has been working on the plan for more than a year but few details are known of its contents. The team has yet to decide when it will begin the rollout, or how, including whether they will preview it with the parties before releasing it publicly.

Trump threatens to pull aid to Palestinians if they don’t pursue peace at Davos, January 25, 2018 (REUTERS)

That will prove difficult with the Palestinian Authority, which cut off contact with the White House after Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital on December 6 last year.

Members of the team broadly describe the plan as a detailed, pragmatic outline for a resolution to the conflict, focused heavily on economic revitalization of the Palestinian territories and on Israeli security guarantees. Up until now, they have avoided using the term “two-state solution,” which has led Palestinians to believe the plan will not explicitly endorse their sovereignty claims.

End Time Christian Zionism – Huckabee Joins Jewish Call to Prayer for Global Unity

What does Mike Huckabee believe Where the candidate stands on 10 issues

Who is the man who is eager for life, who desires years of good fortune? Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from deceitful speech. Psalms 34:13 (The Israel Bible™)

In a Fox News opinion piece by Mike Huckabee, a Christian minister and former Republican Governor of Arkansas, he announced that he will be answering a call to prayer by Acheinu, an Orthodox Jewish outreach organization, for its global Day of Jewish Unity.

In the article, Huckabee described his long and deepening relationship with Israel. He noted that he has been visiting the Holy Land for 45 years.

“On each trip to Israel, my relationship with the Lord grows deeper and I am privileged to share that journey with others, drawing on my roots from years ago as an evangelical pastor to ensure they too feel that joy and wonder,” Huckabee wrote. “But my continuing religious growth is only part of the reason I return so often to the Holy Land of the Bible. I also feel a deep sense of belonging in the country, both politically and socially. Going to Israel is a bit like going home. That’s why it is so important to continue to pray and act for Israel’s survival and serenity.”

Huckabee gave this as his reason for joining in the call to prayer that will take place on Friday, September 7. The prayers for peace will be accompanied by a promise to be kinder and more caring.

“Supporting Israel not only helps its citizens, but helps us in America as well,” Huckabee wrote. “As a Christian, I know that Israel is sacred and is a fulfillment of prophecy in the Bible. God wants Israel to stay strong and grow. We need an Israel free from violence, with Jerusalem as its united capital. There are too many forces in our world trying to destroy the Jewish people and the Holy Land, but Jews need to stay strong and united – and we must join them.”

The annual event was established in memory of Rabbi Israel Meir Kagan, who passed away in 1933. Rabbi Kagan, known as the Chofetz Chaim, was a halachic (Torah law) authority also known for his teachings about the evils of gossip and slanderous speech.

Huckabee cited Rabbi Kagan’s emphasis on shmirat ha’lashon (guarding the tongue) as a vital element missing in the current socio-political environment. He wrote about how his daughter, White House Spokesperson Sarah Huckabee-Sanders, has been the target of slander and disparaging remarks.

“My daughter is a kind, caring and good-hearted wife and mother, so it pains me to see the near-constant personal attacks made against her,” he wrote. “This is not to say you cannot disagree with her or with the White House she represents, but the key to civil discourse is civility.”

Huckabee called for prayer as a unifying act.

“On Sept. 7, please join me in praying to God for peace and the continued prosperity of Israel and all mankind,” he concluded. “And backup your prayers with your interactions with others by reminding yourself to be kind, courteous and always civil.

End Time News – End of Days Expert on Iran: ‘Things Are About to Get Biblical!’

End Time News - End of Days Expert on Iran Things Are About to Get Biblical

“Therefore prophesy, O mortal, and say to Gog: Thus said Hashem: Surely, on that day, when My people Yisrael are living secure, you will take note.” Ezekiel 38:14 (The Israel Bible™)

As Iran and Israel come into direct conflict in Syria and world leaders wonder what to do about Iran’s nuclear program, Rabbinic authorities look to prophecy to find clear answers for a developing situation that one end-of-days expert says is “about to get Biblical.”

The gravity of the rising tensions between Israel and Iran was described by an unnamed senior US official in an interview with NBC News.

“On the list of the potentials for most likely live hostility around the world, the battle between Israel and Iran in Syria is at the top of the list right now,” the official said.

Rabbi Pinchas Winston, a prolific author on end-of-days subjects, agreed with that assessment though he expressed it in Rabbinic terms.

“Things are about to get Biblical,” Rabbi Winston told Breaking Israel News. “Some people thought the Bible was dead. They thought they could sit back and relax. That is clearly not the case in Syria and soon, that will be clear to everyone.”

The concern that Israel and Iran may become enmeshed in a war in the near future is due to recent escalation of Israel’s conflict with Iran from indirect aggression to direct confrontation. Previously, Iran’s aggression against Israel was expressed as one of the world’s leading state sponsors of terrorism with Israel, the primary target of Islamic terrorism. Iran supports Hamas in Gaza and provides missiles to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

This proxy aggression was suddenly transformed into direct confrontation in February when an Iranian drone armed with missiles sent out from a Syrian military base was shot down by the IAF over Israel. Israel retaliated with an airstrike against the T4 base from where the drone originated, killing seven Iranian military personnel.

The confrontation between Israel and Iran is heating up even more. On Sunday, an airstrike allegedly carried out by the Israeli Air Force against a military base near Hama in Western Syria killed over 20 military personnel and destroyed a shipment of arms recently delivered from Iran to forces of President Bashar al-Assad. The Iranian ISNA news agency reported that 18 Iranians including a commander, were killed in the airstrike. This is the second time in one month that Israel has reportedly struck a Syrian base manned by Iranian personnel.

Iran is establishing military bases in war-torn Syria in an apparent attempt to create a land bridge to the Mediterranean that will allow them to dominate the region. According to the US officials cited by NBC News, Russia is now running the air war for Assad while Iran is running the land war.

Iran now has a substantial military presence in Iran to support its leadership role in the Syrian civil war. On Friday, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, told the UN Security Council that Iran has gathered more than 80,000 Shiite jihadists in Syria. In the past two weeks, military flights from Iran to Syria have increased drastically, supplying the Assad regime with weapons and materiel.

In what seems to be political preparation for a war with Iran, the Knesset passed a law on Monday giving the prime minister authority to declare war or to order a major military operation after consulting with the minister of defense. Before this law was passed, a vote by the full cabinet was required to initiate such military actions.

According to Rabbi Winston, Iran’s military presence in Syria is the match that will set off an even greater explosion in Syria.

“It is important to remember that Syria was once part of Israel,” Rabbi Winston said. “King David instilled a level of kedusha (holiness) into the land when he conquered it. Iran is attacking specifically any holiness in the world and they are beginning in Syria, which was the fringe of Israel’s sanctity. Of course, their ultimate goal is to wipe out all of God’s holiness in the world.”

Rabbi Winston cited a prophecy in the Yalkut Shimoni, a compilation of rabbinic commentary on the Bible believed to have been composed in the 13th century, that mentioned Persia (known today as Iran) as the catalyst that will set off an apocalyptic multinational war.

“Rabbi Yitzchok said: The year in which Melech Hamashiach (Messiah king) will be revealed, all the nations of the world will be provoking each other…The king of Persia  will provoke the King of Arabia. The King of Arabia, will go to Edom to take counsel and the King of Persia will threaten to destroy the entire world. The nations of the world will be outraged and panic. They will fall on their faces and will experience pains like birth pangs. Israel too, will be outraged and in a state of panic ask, “Where do we go?” (Yalkut Shimoni, Isaiah, 60:499)

Persia is also explicitly identified by the Prophet Ezekiel as an end-of-days foe of Israel.

I will turn you around and put hooks in your jaws, and lead you out with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all of them clothed in splendor, a vast assembly, all of them with bucklers and shields, wielding swords. Among them shall be Persia, Nubia, and Put, everyone with shield and helmet; Ezekiel 38:4-5

“The conflict with Iran isn’t like a normal political crisis such as the Cuban missile Crisis or even North Korea,” Rabbi Winston explained. “Kim Jong Un was afraid and in his political maneuvering, he was just looking for a good way to back down. This isn’t the case with Iran. This is a Biblically based, prophetic crisis.”

“It is important to remember that Iran is actually the modern-day incarnation of Biblical Persia and Israel is the result of God’s covenant with the Jews,” the rabbi said. “You have one country whose existential drive is to stay alive in order to bring God’s word to the world. And set against us you have another country whose existential drive is to watch the world burn so they can move on to the next stage of their destiny.”

Rabbi Hillel Weiss, spokesman for the nascent Sanhedrin (an initiative to reinstate the Biblically mandated court of 71 elders), insists that due to the Biblical nature of the conflict, there are alternative outcomes.

“Iran is a thin veneer covering Persia, a nation with an ancient heritage that appears in the Bible,” Rabbi Weiss said. “In the story of Purim, we see that Persia set out to destroy the Jews. In the end, Persia initiated the building of the Second Temple. In the same manner, the current situation can turn around. If Iran returns to its Persian roots, they can play a major role in bringing the geula (redemption).”

Towards this end, the Sanhedrin and the Mikdash (Temple) Educational Center are minting a special edition coin specifically aimed at reawakening this Temple mandate among the Persians.

Christian Leader Calls for Christians to Protest UN Temple Mount Resolution As “Worse Than Holocaust Denial”

A Laurie Cardoza-Moore
Also the aliens, that join themselves to the LORD, to minister unto Him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be His servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and holdeth fast by My covenant. Even them will I bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer; their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices shall be acceptable upon Mine altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” Isaiah 56:6-7 (The Israel Bible™)

Cardoza-Moore is the UN Special Envoy for the World Council of Independent Christian Churchs (WCICC) and President of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations (PJTN) which represent more than 40 million pro-Israel Evangelicals worldwide and more than 13,000 global PJTN Watchmen.

Cardoza –Moore took part in meetings at the UN on Thursday, Holocaust Remembrance day,  which she noted as an auspicious time to decry the recent UN resolutions declaring the Temple Mount, Rachel’s Tomb, the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, and even the Kotel (Western Wall) to be exclusively Muslim sites.

“This message is particularly important on Holocaust Remembrance Day, because we cannot afford to stand by as Jewish history is publicly denied by an organization of the United Nations,” said Cardoza-Moore.

“Denying the Jewish people’s connection to the Temple Mount is tantamount to denying the existence of the Jewish people and is therefore even more grave than Holocaust denial.”

She warned that moves that delegitimize Israel’s historic right to the land and its holy sites will perpetuate the violence centered around the Temple mount.

“By deliberately ignoring the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount, UNESCO violates the human rights of Jews everywhere, as well as those of Christianity, whose beliefs and heritage include the spiritual and historical connection of the Jewish people to Jerusalem and all of Israel,” Cardoza –Moore said, adding, “UNESCO is also obligated to promote and educate about religious tolerance.”

“With its denial of the Jewish connection to Jerusalem and its holy sites, UNESCO harms any prospect of peace and vicariously supports a radical ideology that denies the Jewish connection to the land of Israel and its holy sites.”

“Christians recognize the historic Jewish connection to Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and all of the ancient biblical sites in Israel. Christians also recognize that if we do not defend Israel’s biblical and historic connection to the Land, Christians will ultimately lose their historic connection as well,” said Cardoza-Moore.

“We are calling on all Christians to contact UNESCO and condemn this attempt to re-write biblical history and replace it with political propaganda.”

She warned that “with the rise of global, genocidal anti-Semitism, as well as the global push to boycott, divest and sanction Israel, on this Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Memorial Day), as the world remembers one of the most horrific events in modern history, Christians, Jews and people of conscience must commit to make a stand and say never again.”

PJTN Watchmen are also calling on UNESCO to condemn the deliberate destruction of artifacts buried beneath the Temple Mount. This destruction has been carried out by the Waqf, the Islamic religious authority, for over a decade in an attempt to physically eradicate and deny a historically accurate narrative connecting Jews and Christian to the site.

Jerusalem News – Stunning Research Reveals Incredible Alignment of Holy Tabernacle and Celestial Movements

Incredible Alignment of Holy Tabernacle and Celestial Movements

“According to all that I show thee, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the furniture thereof, even so shall ye make it.” Exodus 25:9 (The Israel Bible™)

After a detailed analysis of the description of the Biblical Tabernacle, an engineer has found startling correlations between the earthly structure and the orbits of the planets in the solar system. The remarkable similarities reflect an ancient belief that the tent in the desert was the pivotal point connecting heaven and earth, built using the power of creation itself.

Michael from Ireland (who prefers his surname not be known), retired from a career in telecommunications, has written several books on his studies of the Bible using his unique perspective. His background in engineering means that Michael speaks the language of numbers, and the sections of the Bible describing the construction of the Tabernacle are, for Michael, an open book. His unique approach allowed Michael to see the Tabernacle not only as a standing structure but also in terms of surface area.

“It’s like a manual from IKEA,” Michael told Breaking Israel News. “Most people try to envision the Tabernacle as a standing structure. It’s meant to be put together so you can also see it laid out flat.”

When viewed in this manner, Michael began to see remarkable correlations, dimensions of the Tabernacle that equalled astronomical phenomena that would have been visible to the Hebrews in the desert. In this mathematical revelation, Michael was confronted with a mystery: why were the sun, moon and stars factored into the dimensions of the tabernacle? How the Tabernacle would have looked in use. (Wikimedia Commons)

One answer to this question was given in Bamidbar Rabbah (12:12),  a collection of ancient rabbinical homiletic interpretations of the book of Numbers, in which it is written that when Israel erected the tabernacle, God told the angels to erect a corresponding version in the heavens.

The first glimmers came to Michael when he read in the Bible that the Hebrews donated 29 talents and 730 shekels of gold.

“I immediately noticed that the talents corresponded to one lunar month of 29 days. 730 corresponds to two solar years, or 730 days,” Michael said. At that point, he began to notice a pattern but was unsure of its significance. He then noted that the silver collected for constructing the Tabernacle was 100 talents and 1,775 shekels. He recognized that 1,775 was the equivalent of five lunar years to within three days.

“I would not have recognized the five lunar years except that I had seen it previously in the biblical Book of Enoch in a description of astronomical events,” Michael said.

The apocryphal Book of Enoch is an ancient Jewish religious work, ascribed by tradition to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah, although modern scholars believe the older sections to date from about 300 BCE. It is not part of the Biblical canon.

Before presenting his next findings, Michael noted that there are, in fact, two opinions as to the dimensions of the Tabernacle. The majority of scholars adhere to dimensions based on a description by Josephus, a first-century Jewish scholar and historian. Michael’s study is based on the smaller dimensions described by Richard Elliot Friedman, Professor of Jewish Studies at the University of Georgia.

Michael then did some calculations of the surface areas of the complete tabernacle structure and discovered that it equaled precisely 2,300 cubits. This brought to mind the enigmatic prophecy in the Book of Daniel.

And he said unto me: ‘Unto two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings; then shall the sanctuary be victorious.’ Daniel 8:13

Michael then calculated the surface area only of the section of the Tabernacle containing the Holy of Holies. He added the surface area of the vessels contained within it and came to a total of 364 cubits. The Book of Enoch also describes a 364-day calendar.

Michael calculated the surface area of the fifteen roof bars of the Tabernacle, arriving at the figure of 225 square cubits, the numerical equivalent of the orbit of Venus around the sun.

He then calculated the internal surface area of the Tabernacle tent minus the entrance curtain and the dividing veil, since they were drawn back when Aaron the High Priest entered every morning. The remaining surface areas in the tabernacle tent and its furnishings was 686.5 square cubits, equal to the orbit of Mars. The garments of the High Priest, with breastplate. (Library of Congress)

When the veil of the tabernacle tent was removed, the remaining surface areas of the tabernacle building fabrics added up to 4340, seven days longer than the orbit of Jupiter.

Using this method, Michael also figured the surface areas of both sides of the tabernacle materials when it was deconstructed for travel, plus the surface area of the utensils, arriving at a total of 10,761.5 square cubits, equal to one orbit of Saturn with just two days of an overlap.

He also noted that the total surface area of the utensils inside the Holy of Holies plus the breastplate worn by the High Priest was 87.75 square cubit, compared to the orbit of the planet Mercury at 87.97 days.

Rabbi Yosef Berger, rabbi of King David’s Tomb on Mount Zion, responded to Michael’s findings by noting that Rabbi Shlomo Yitzchaki, the preeminent 11th century French Torah scholar known by the acronym Rashi, taught that God gave the ten utterances used to create the world to Betsalel so that he could build the Tabernacle.

“All of creation is implicit within the structure itself,” Rabbi Berger said. “The structure and its utensils were not built like any other structure. It was made in a process similar to the creation of the world. Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism) teaches us that God created the world in speech and all of reality is essentially combinations of words, letters, and numbers, and this is especially true of the Tabernacle.

“As the connecting point between the upper world and the lower world, this would surely be a part of the Tabernacle and the Temple,” Rabbi Berger concluded. “This connection, connecting the speech of creation that makes up the material of the world, is what will give the Messiah the ability to raise up this world to a higher level.”

Catholic Churches in Jerusalem Blame Israel for Muslim Violence, Deny Biblical Roots of Temple Mount

“Ah, Those who call evil good And good evil; Who present darkness as light And light as darkness; Who present bitter as sweet And sweet as bitter!” Isaiah 5:20 (The Israel Bible™)

Amid the intensifying battles surrounding the Temple Mount, the Catholic Church expressed its concerns in terms that placed the blame entirely on Israel while referring to the site exclusively by its Muslim name. One bishop stated in an interview on Vatican Radio that there has, in fact, been no Palestinian violence.

On Sunday, Pope Francis addressed the crowd gathered in the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Square, telling them that he viewed “with trepidation the grave tensions and violence” surrounding the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

“I feel the need to express a distressed appeal for moderation and dialogue,” the Pope said, calling on the people to pray for the sake of Jerusalem.

The violence the Pope is referring to began ten days ago when three Palestinian terrorists murdered two Druze Israeli policemen while they guarded the entrance to the Temple Mount. The Israeli police entered the site and, after a gunbattle, killed the three terrorists.

The Israeli government closed the site to all visitors until Sunday, when it reopened to Muslims with increased security measures that included walk-through metal detectors. The Islamic Waqf, the Muslim trust which controls the Temple Mount, called for a boycott of the site. Muslim crowds rioted last week and three Palestinians were killed in clashes with Israeli police.

On Friday night, a Palestinian, citing the situation at the Temple Mount as his motivation, entered the town of Halamish. There, he murdered a 70-year-old grandfather and his middle-aged son and daughter while they sat at their Sabbath table. He also seriously wounded the 68-year-old grandmother.

In the wake of the growing violence, the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem released a statement. Signed by the heads of all 13 Christian communities in Jerusalem, it condemned the recent escalation of violence at the Temple Mount, but did so in language that clearly favored the Palestinians and condemned Israel. The statement referred to the site by its Arabic names, disregarding any Jewish or Christian connection to the site.

“We, the Heads of Churches in Jerusalem, express our serious concern regarding recent escalation in violent developments around Haram ash-Sharif and our grief for the loss of human life and strongly condemn any act of violence,” the statement read.

The statement said that the violence was due solely to a change in the status quo, i.e. placing metal detectors at the entrances to the Temple Mount.

“We are worried about any change to historical (Status Quo) situation in al-Aqsa Mosque (Haram ash-Sharif) and its courtyard, and in the holy city of Jerusalem. Any threat to its continuity and integrity could easily lead to serious and unpredictable consequences, which would be most unwelcome in the present tense religious climate.

“We value the continued custody of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy places in Jerusalem and the Holy Land which guarantees the right for all Muslims to free access and worship to al Aqsa Mosque according to the prevailing Status Quo.

“We renew our call that the historical Status Quo governing these sites be fully respected, for the sake of peace and reconciliation to the whole community, and we pray for a just and lasting peace in the whole region and all its peoples.”

The statement made no mention of the Muslim terror attack that led to Israel placing the metal detectors at the entrances to the site. Nor did it refer to the horrific Palestinian terror attack on Friday.

Bishop Munib Younan, head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Jordan and the Holy Land, said on Vatican radio that the metal detectors are a form of “collective punishment” which should not be permitted “because of an attack by two persons.”

The bishop claimed that thousands of Muslims pray at the site during Ramadan and “everything goes smoothly”. He did not mention the murder of IDF Border Policewoman Hadas Malkah, which took place during Ramadan.

“It’s essential to find a political solution to end the Israeli occupation, which is considered illegal,” the bishop concluded.

PM Netanyahu To Meet With President Trump To Discuss Move Of U.S. Embassy To Jerusalem

Among other issues, they’re likely to discuss Trump’s controversial pledge to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Tal Shalev, political correspondent for Israel’s Walla News, joins CBSN to discuss the relationship between Trump and Israel.

President Trump has invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House.

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.” Zechariah 12:2 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: As we have been telling you for over a year now, President Trump’s fulfilling of his campaign promise to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem will spark a fulfillment of Bible prophecy not seen since 1948. It could possibly also trigger the Psalm 83 War. It will be the single, biggest game-changer in the Middle East you can imagine. This is why the Lord allowed Trump to become president, for such a time as this.

Among other issues, they’re likely to discuss Trump’s controversial pledge to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Tal Shalev, political correspondent for Israel’s Walla News, joins CBSN to discuss the relationship between Trump and Israel.

Six days before his first meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. President Donald Trump met Thursday evening with Republican mega-donor Sheldon Adelson, the owner of a pro-Netanyahu newspaper and one of the Israeli leader’s strongest supporters.

According to a report in the Washington Post, Trump and Adelson were set to dine together with a number of Trump’s senior advisers and Adelson’s wife, Miriam. The news website Axios quoted a “source close to Adelson” as saying that during the dinner, Adelson will lobby Trump against a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and will bring up Trump’s election promise to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

A pilgrimage from the Jewish perspective

Today, as a Jew I understand well why true Christians feel so deeply about Israel and support the only democratic nation in the Middle East.

My name is Bob T. Epstein, and in 1961 at age of 17, I traveled to Israel to become an ‘Ulpanist’ (live, work and learn Hebrew on a Kibbutz). The plan from the Israeli Government was to allow visitors to come, become fluent in Hebrew and add their lives into the goal of making Israel a strong and healthy country. Part of that goal was hopefully having them become Olim (new immigrants), join the IDF and contribute to the country in every way possible as an Israeli citizen.

After an interview in New York at the Israeli Embassy, I was accepted into the Ulpan Kibbutz program, a 6-month commitment to live and work for stamps to write home with, meals, a roof over our heads, daily two-hour Hebrew language studies in exchange for 4 hours of labor on many of the Kibbutz farming operations, such as planting, irrigation, picking fruits and several other types of farm chores.

Frankly, for a city guy coming from Brooklyn and being in top physical condition when I arrived in Israel, I loved the work, the people, my other 43 ‘Ulpanists’, and even the healthful fresh foods.

Learning the language for me was a generous treat as I always wanted to study languages, sort of a serious hobby that I was good at from an early age (I speak 5 languages today). Other Ulpanists came from so many different backgrounds and religions, too! On our Kibbutz, Ein Hashofet in the Menashe Hills, not very far from the Sea Of Galilee, were 4 members of Monastery in Belgium. The Greek Orthodox Christian Monks were there at the Kibbutz to learn Hebrew so that they could read and understand the Old Testament. The Monastery sent them to Israel for that purpose. We became fast friends! We talked over meals at the communal food house (Beit ha Ochal) about their lives, my life in the US, my Orthodox grandfather and Mama, how they escaped first the Czar, then Hitler, how they made their lives in New York custom making all manner of clothing in their little tailor shop, how my father was in Belgium during the war, how he became permanently disabled by losing his toes in the Battle of the Bulge, the Nazi concentration camps he helped liberate and a compression of our lives, the whole ‘5 Ws’ of where, why, when, what, who and the how, too!

Every Saturday our kibbutz offered us trips around Israel, and we of course went to Jerusalem, and I saw the reverence my 4 Monk friends and a few Seminary students from France took in their experiences walking in the footsteps of where Jesus once walked.

It was very touching for me to see their deep fealty to their beliefs. Today, as a Jew I understand well why true Christians feel so deeply about Israel and support the only democratic nation in the Middle East, as much as the Jewish State supports, shares and protects their deep and strong connection to this land as well.

My epiphanies continued through the many visits back to Israel from my first and true home; America. When I left Israel and traveled to Africa for two years learning languages, fishing, and photographing with my little Brownie Camera, I missed everything about Israel almost as much as my home in the US, but I believe it was more that I missed my family than the land.

I felt then as I do today, those rocks that I moved in the desert still had my sweat deep in their sediment and the fruits now grown there, that I helped plant, began the reversal of the desertification that stood for thousands of years after the Jews were expelled from their lands. Israel today is alive and vibrantly verdant again for all religions of peace!

See AmericanPressTravelNews.com for my travel experiences and visitations. My book ‘Africa on a Pin & a Prayer has the first chapter about my life in Israel on the Kibbutz and beyond.

Christian leader: We can make a change for Israel by doing our homework

The Christian world needs to take a bold stand for the Jewish people and State of Israel, not only by praying, but by taking action to change the reality, the leader of a European Christian grassroots movement said.

“When we do our homework, when we know the history, when we know the arguments, people will listen to us and we can make a difference,” Tomas Sandell, the founding director of European Coalition for Israel told The Jerusalem Post. “This is something that we have proven.”

ECI, which has a motto of “Pray. Educate. Advocate,” was founded in Brussels in 2003, and its main goals include promoting closer relations and understanding between Israel and the EU, confronting antisemitism in Europe and supporting Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state.

Sandell’s best example of how doing one’s homework can change the narrative came in 2010. Seven years ago, he and his team discovered that some of the most important legal arguments for the State of Israel date back to the San Remo Conference in April 1920, a post-World War I meeting of the Allied powers, which defined the Middle East of today.

“The narrative in Europe is still this: the Jews came from somewhere, and stole the land, and invaded this country ‘Palestine,’ and took it away from them, and that’s why we have all these problems,” Sandell said.

But according to international law, he said, the right of the Jewish people to recreate a state in their ancestral homeland has been confirmed once and for all by the San Remo resolutions by accepting the language of the Balfour Declaration, which was “in favor of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.”

By confirming this, it was also the basis for the 3,000-year period that connected a people with its land – culturally, religiously and politically.

“Unless you get the foundation right, the historical truths, the legal arguments, you will always end up on the wrong side,” he said.

The European group went to San Remo, Italy, on the 90th anniversary of the conference, working to bring to the world’s attention what exactly happened there.

“This was a game changer for the work that we do, because it appeared for some reason that no one had really paid attention to this, not even the Israeli government,” he said. “This was something that really sent out a powerful message.”

ECI made a 15-minute documentary on the importance of the conference (http://www.ec4i.org/resources/san-remo/), and they took their case to parliaments around the world, as well as to the UN Security Council.

“At no point in time did anyone contradict what we were saying,” Sandell said. “In the European Parliament, for example, even the Palestinian representative didn’t contradict us.”

ECI is a small organization that operates on a tight budget. But it is hardly relevant to its work, Sandell said.

“The Lord can give victory through many just as He can through a few,” he said. “It’s not just about dancing around in circles and waving a flag. We can only make a difference when we engage, when we dare to go into the lion’s den.”

Found: Fresh Clues to Mystery of King Solomon’s Mines

Found: Fresh Clues to Mystery of King Solomon’s Mines

Analysis of 3,000-year-old animal waste confirms that an ancient mining complex in Israel dates to the golden age of the biblical monarch.

Manure preserved for millennia by the arid climate of Israel’s Timna Valley is adding fresh fuel to a long-simmering debate about the biblical king Solomon and the source of his legendary wealth.

Archaeologists discovered the 3,000-year-old dung in an ancient mining camp atop a sandstone mesa known as Slaves’ Hill. The area is dotted with copper mines and smelting camps—sites where the ore was heated and turned into metal.

University of Tel Aviv archaeologist Erez Ben-Yosef began excavating the site in 2013. Last year he and his team were uncovering the remains of several walled structures, including a fortified gate, when they discovered what appeared to be animal excrement of relatively recent origin.

Archaeologists found 3,000-year-old dung in an ancient mining camp atop a mesa known as Slaves’ Hill in Israel’s Timna Valley. Right:

An artist’s reconstruction of the mining camp is based on archaeological evidence.

While the dung’s extreme age and extraordinary condition were stunning, the implications of the radiocarbon results were even more jarring.

“Until we started the project in 2013, this was considered to be a late Bronze Age site related to the New Kingdom of Egypt in the 13th and early 12th centuries B.C.,” Ben-Yosef says. There’s clear evidence of an Egyptian presence during those centuries, and modern-day visitors to nearby Timna Valley Park are greeted by signs depicting ancient Egyptians.

But high-precision radiocarbon dating of the dung, as well as textiles and other organic material, showed that the mining camp’s heyday was the 10th century B.C.—the era of the biblical kings David and Solomon. (Read “Kings of Controversy”.)

According to the Hebrew Bible, King Solomon was renowned for his great wisdom and wealth, and his many building projects included a temple in Jerusalem lavishly appointed with gold and bronze objects. Such a structure would have required large amounts of metal from industrial-scale mining operations somewhere in the Middle East, but the scriptures are silent as to their location.

In the 1930s American archaeologist Nelson Glueck (pronounced Glick) announced that he had found the famous mines while exploring the copper-rich Arabah Valley, a geological rift that stretches from the Dead Sea south to the Red Sea and straddles the border of modern Israel and Jordan.

“It is now known that along the entire length of the Wadi ‘Araba there are deposits of copper and iron,” Glueck wrote in an article entitled “On the Trail of King Solomon’s Mines” in the February 1944 issue of National Geographic. “These were intensely worked in ancient times, particularly during the time of King Solomon.”

Searching for Solomon’s Mines

Awash in riches from trade and tribute, King Solomon embarked on a building campaign that included his famous temple in Jerusalem. Many of the implements used in worship were made of bronze, requiring much copper to form the alloy.

Many archaeologists who followed in Glueck’s footsteps, however, argued that David and Solomon weren’t the powerful kings depicted in the Bible. Instead they were small-scale chieftains incapable of organizing a major mining operation and orchestrating long-distance trade.

Archaeologist Nelson Glueck (second from left) believed he had found Solomon’s mines in the copper-rich Arabah Valley of southern Israel and Jordan.

Critics also took issue with the traditional biblical chronology, which places the reigns of David and Solomon in the 10th century B.C. As a result, “Glueck became a laughingstock in the scholarly world,” says Thomas Levy, professor of archaeology at the University of California, San Diego, and a National Geographic Explorer.

But discoveries made in recent decades may turn the tables and vindicate Glueck’s faith in the Bible’s record of events.

In 1997 Levy began a multi-year excavation at Khirbat en-Nahas, a site in southern Jordan that Glueck suggested was an ancient center of copper production. Levy and his team dug through more than 20 feet of copper slag waste to reach virgin soil, indicating that metal had been produced there on a massive scale. “Our excavations are providing support for many of Glueck’s insights,” Levy wrote in 2006.

The recent find in Israel’s Timna Valley may score more points for Glueck, who discovered and named the Slaves’ Hill site in 1934. The mining operation there is not yet linked to Solomon himself, but it does suggest that the region was home to a complex society—most likely the Edomites, the ancient Israelites’ antagonists.

The accuracy of biblical passages claiming that King David marched his armies deep into the desert to engage the Edomites has long been debated. But Ben-Yosef says the fortified walls he’s found around the smelting camp indicate it was very likely a military target.

If the Bible’s claim that David brought the Edomites to heel is accurate, he may have been in a position to demand tribute, Ben-Yosef says. “There’s a serious possibility that Jerusalem got its wealth from taxing these mining operations.”
Evidence of Long Distance Trade

The dung samples included seeds and pollen spores so intact that Ben-Yosef’s team was able to determine the animals’ diet, which yielded another surprise: The feed was imported from an area more than 100 miles to the north, close to the Mediterranean coast. The distance to Jerusalem is about 190 miles (300 kilometers), a two week trip by donkey in ancient times.

Long distance trade was key to survival at this remote site surrounded by barren desert. Every necessity had to be hauled in on donkeys—even the nearest water source was 12 miles away—making this a complex and costly undertaking.

“Metal in this period was an essential product, similar to the oil of today,” Ben-Yosef says. “So it was worth these peoples’ while to invest so much in this operation in the middle of the desert.”

More than 1,000 tons of smelting debris have been uncovered on Slaves’ Hill, Ben-Yosef says, indicating industrial-scale production worthy of an ancient state or kingdom. Whether the Israelites or Edomites achieved such a level of development during the 10th century B.C. remains a hotly debated question, but Ben-Yosef is encouraged by the new finds, which were published in the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports.

“Until recently we had almost nothing from this period in this area,” he says. “But now we not only know that this was a source of copper, but also that it’s from the days of King David and his son Solomon.”
